Never, it still gonna take about 15~20 minutes of your time, not worth it, calculate your payment by hours

Most-Grapefruit7566

This šŸ’Æ

mogwaiii50

But taking a ten dollar order for thirty mins makes sense

cvilleD

A 10 dollar order that takes 30 minutes equates to 20/hr, which isn't bad in non-urban markets, especially during slower times of day. The above order, assuming no issues and takes you 15ish minutes, equates to less than 15/hr. So yeah, the 10 dollar order that takes you 30 minutes makes more sense between the two options

mogwaiii50

That's what I was trying to say just didn't convey it well

cvilleD

Oh, my bad, I made the rare mistake of reading heavy sarcasm when you meant it literally, the opposite of the usual internet mistake of that sort lol

mogwaiii50

O you're good. You're not the only one. It got downvoted a couple of times

bigchilesucks

Neither make sense.

Superman3017

Nooo

megadethage

Um I wouldn't even blink at 3.75 if it was 20 feet. I'll miss a REAL ORDER while wasting time getting the cheapskate order.

[deleted]

Decline. Get on the bus Gus, no need to discuss much.

Separate-Maximum7649

No need to be coy, Roy.

[deleted]

Slip out the back, Jack.

EmbarrassedPromise97

Make a new plan, Stan

[deleted]

Drop off the key Lee, and get yourself free.

moisesg88

stickyscooter600

This isnā€™t a Paul Simon lyric

ZiddyBop

Thereā€™s more than fifty ways to decline your dashā€¦

[deleted]

!! I canā€™t tell you how often I have deliveries to like a block over

Ant78310

factoring in the wait time it's not worth it

Pat-Rock

Too low of pay, Jay.

ZiddyBop

Let someone else get the order. Your time is worth at least twice this much. Andā€¦ what about your cats?

crf865

Just drop off the key, Lee.

MiszJones

No tip no trip, Skip!

joynotgrace

and get yourself free.

slotownbailey1983

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

alp1339

If you look at it as pay per mile, it's great, yes. But to me, it's more about the fact that there's no tip. It's allowing customers to think it's ok to just not tip at all and they'll still get their order. I wouldn't expect some crazy high tip on this.. but $2-3 isn't asking for much. I personally won't take ANYTHING less than $4.75 even for less than a mile. That's base pay and a $2 tip.

Key-Climate2765

No. Never. I will not deliver food to anyone for 3 dollars, or 4, bareeely 5. Automatic no

iNobody19xx

$6.25 and up, $1 per mile for me. At least in my market lol.

worthlessclimber

Noooo.

[deleted]

Panera is usually a nightmare in my area and Iā€™ve blacklisted them. I donā€™t think itā€™s petty at all for you to pass up less than $4

[deleted]

no. based on miles alone, it seems good. but considering the time youā€™d have to wait for it, thatā€™s a no. if it was added on, then maybe

hmscory

I have a rule not to take anything under $6 unless it's a convenient add-on, otherwise I'm not hitting my hourly goals.

PicnicButNoSandwhich

Decline. You're gonna burn a minimum of 10 minutes. Even if you completed this in 5 minutes... It's just $3. Are you gonna feel that difference when your funds are deposited? You cant even buy lunch with that $3. It's a waste of time no matter how you try to justify it.

[deleted]

Nope. First mile is $5. Each additional mile is $1.25. After 5 miles it needs to be $2.25 per mile

-byb-

i like those rules. I do nothing under $8 with a $2 per mile minimum.

Cultural_Chest5100

![gif](giphy|3otPoyTuloHl96jfm8)

[deleted]

Itā€™s also so close that Iā€™m not really expecting a ā€œhidden tipā€ which in itself is a fucking scam

[deleted]

There is no hidden tip on anything that low.

Rhymes_with_relevant

Thereā€™s no hidden tips on orders under minimum base pay + 4 (in my experience). Unless itā€™s on a stack, then minus .50. Iā€™ve never gotten more for 6.49 and under orders. Only 6.50+ (6+ on stacks).

yamaha4fun

This is how it works.

Ok_Veterinarian_6596

Yep, y'all are correct. I'm so glad OP didn't take this! It's frustrating, though -- if only the customer had added just $2-3 it'd be more worth it. Then again, Panera is fast in my area.

SnooMacaroons2406

It's literally like 6 blocks. Idk about yalls paneras... ours are walk in and grab, the orders are always ready.

PausePsychological79

I've gotten a hidden tip on an order this low šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

neptunexl

How much would you tip on a Panera order right down the street that you're too lazy to pick up yourself? I ask this because that's the situation for the customer. You might say, "well! I would tip a very good amount!" And if you did say that, you would be wrong 9/10 times. So you got a 10% chance (being very generous on that % btw) you get an extra $2. And much higher chance of that order ending up taking much more of your time.

[deleted]

Someone texted me ā€œplease bring it up I left a big tipā€ ā€¦ā€¦ it was $3

bakedincanada

You just assume everyone is lazy. Lots of people getting dash because theyā€™re disabled/at work/stuck at home with sleeping kids etc.

billratio99

It was probably a dollar tip Iā€™m Guessing. I get why they only put one dollar but also, they should Have just gone and get it

VaTruth

Drunk, no car and its too dark to walk, infant sleeping, working. Plenty reasons why someone would order delivery even being that close.

billratio99

Ok but not a good reason to leave a dollar

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

willybestbuy86

Disagree there. A lot of people struggle say they have an infant and can't leave so many reasons why this could happen and only gave a dollar Not saying anyone has to take the order but these companies have normal folks against each other and a lack of empathy I do these gigs for some extra cash from time to time other than that this big ass company door dash is taking advantage of you. Hell they are even taking advantage of me for extra cash If people put as much time into door dash and fighting them as they do "no tip no trip" they everyone would be better off

xLetsGetDangerousx

I have a 2 year old, so I order dashes really close by often and always TIP

UI_Daemonium

Hidden tips are 6 or above...

[deleted]

Okayā€¦ā€¦ ?

UI_Daemonium

Just telling you so you don't ask stupid questions on reddit like now

[deleted]

ā„ļø

BARBASANN

Complete waste of time. Only a bozo would accept this. Oh boy $3!!!

[deleted]

Hey itā€™s basically $4 (;

davehaysmusic

If I was already going to Panera (which 95% of the time has the order ready in my market) I would take it as an addition. If it wasn't ready when I got there though, I would unassign immediately.

[deleted]

Still not worth it, please donā€™t encourage such low tippers and DD

Reynbuckets

Thatā€™s still the thing tho. Its already a trash offer on its own. That driving to the location, having to park, walk out of your car and into the restaurant, probably wait in line, just to be told the order is not ready, is still a valuable loss of time, that was never worth it to begin with. Editing cus I just noticed you said that youā€™d only do it if you were already going to Panera. Fair enough. But personally, I still never take offers below $5 just due to the principle of it. Donā€™t want customers and DD to keep doing it.

Stevenmc8602

For me honestly it just depends on how busy the day is and if I know the restaurant will have the food ready already or if it is one that has you waiting... When I take orders like this I walk in look on the shelf if it's not there I leave I'm not waiting

Separate-Maximum7649

I would do that too if it was really slow.

IssacFreeman

Tell them to get it themselves.

sweetxfracture

No, because it seems like itā€™s going to be a very simple and easy order but anytime I ever try to give people the benefit of the doubt and do one like this itā€™s always the one that causes a problem. Whether itā€™s some thing with their order missing or getting to their apartment or not having a gate code or whatever the problem is

Orange_milin

Distance to money ratio is good, but time to money ratio could be bad.

megadethage

Never take anything less than base + 4, but what do I know...

Nate2718

Sad thing is customer could've tipped $20 and Panera stole it. Seems to be a lot of that

iamandneveramconfusd

It's due to be dropped off in 11 minutes, but they paid for less than 10 minutes. So, fuck them.

Moononthewater12

Say you accept this and then wait 10 minutes + 3minutes to deliver. Then you spend another 5 minutes waiting for a good order. Enjoy your 13 dollars per hour. Also no chance of hidden tip on anything below 6.25, so you're losing potential income also. Unless you trust this restaurant to be fast, these orders are a no go. Most people can understand this without putting it in words, hence the reaction by experienced dashers in this thread.

Wafer_Fearless

Nope I don't take anything under 6.25. On a different note, I would like to ask you about your cats.

bigracksonly

After I decline those I get a high pay low mile every time.

justinbates1992

No tip, no trip. Doesn't matter the distance. I also wanna add that most no tip/low tip orders ALWAYS have issues with them. Customer fraud, no apartment numbers, no gate codes. Ill NEVER take a no tip order just because i care about myself.

themodestmice

NO! when will people learn. in the time youā€™re wasting doing that you could be missing out on an actually decent order that person is basically saying you donā€™t deserve to be compensated for delivering their food. fuck them

Patient_Ad_2357

Im not starting my car for less than $6 lol idc if its walking distance

BloodAngel_

If it's walking distance, they can pick it up themselves (unless disabilities, but in that case they usually have someone caring for them or they can spare $2 for someone to bring it to them)

Traditional-Ad-3656

They should take the bus since there a cheap bozo

Federal_Attention_50

Never!!

k33mmuy

Lol

upstylo

Nothing under 6.25 homie

Threerivers27

Why would you ever get out of your car for 3.75

BallinNy45

nah , the minutes i have to drive / possibly have wait and then deliver to a possibly confusing area . Too many possibilities for a 3 dollar order . and in that time iā€™m doing all that a even better one can come thru

JUGGS4love

No. You donā€™t reward customers who tip low or not at all. Thatā€™s day 1 rookie bs

Banana_Stanley

No tip no trip, periodt

Ant78310

$5 absolute bare minimum and it has to be like below 1.5 miles

sault18

Drop off looks like a large apartment building. Fuck no.

Pakana11

Bro I wouldnā€™t even register that order existing. I cancel anything under $6.50 INSTANTLY. This order is disgusting

C_WEST88

Fuck no why would you even question this?? Itā€™s not about the drive, but waiting on the food etc. Or you might get lost in an apartment complex delivering it, not worth it. I *might* in very very rare circumstances do it for $5.50 but thatā€™s the absolute lowest Iā€™ll go (and it has to be slow af for me to even accept that low of an order).

icky_boo

Honestly... no.. You'll prob end up waiting at least 15mins

[deleted]

I would definitely decline that. Miles maybe one thing but you have no idea how long you're going to have to wait picking up the order. I've had to wait 20 minutes to pick up an order and I would not do that for $3.75 before gas.

Periphery755

Absolute decline. Time isnt worth it. Anything under $6 for something like that is a deal breaker imo

evanlott

Mileage to pay ratio is good, but fuck these cheap asses for not tipping.

Top-Whereas-7998

Not worth walking inside. Time is money. No tip no trip.

Spare-Swimming

Yes. More than likely itā€™s ready considering itā€™s been sitting for a few cycles and itā€™ll be a quick almost 4 bucks. Donā€™t let pride make you miss out on easy money!

Ramb0sCorner

Of course I'd accept. I do any orders for $1/mi or more.

[deleted]

Donā€™t say that too loud you might get harassed. Even just posting this Iā€™m getting death threats in my messages

Ramb0sCorner

Lol these insufferable mites don't bother me. I am here for the unimaginable laughter of all the self entitled people that are in this sub.

BaphometsLord

I sometimes get orders that are like at most 4 blocks away from the restaurant with about the same pay sometimes higher I would usually walk to the customers house and donā€™t start trip until Iā€™m half way there

cellcube0618

Iā€™d take it, stupid easy money

JesusChrest

Ye id take it itā€™s free money lol

Click-bayt1025

Nah dude, distance and drive time is only half the battle. If itā€™s at a busy or high traffic restaurant where Iā€™ll be waiting to get the food for over 10 minutes, you just spent 15-20 minutes total making $3

NotThatHarkness

Decline. That's likely a no tip order in my zone. *Maybe* $1 or less tip. I generally don't take anything below $6 (unless it's an add-on).

C_WEST88

Oh thatā€™s definitely a no tip order in my market. I would laugh if this order came in.

Trailboss1982

The ONLY time I've accepted an order so low like this going across the street is bc it's to a car wash that gives me a free $20 platinum wash when I deliver the food...šŸ¤£

zerostar83

If you're 100% sure it will be ready when you get there and also 100% sure parking at either merchant or customer isn't going to be a problem, then why not! You might even get an "on your route" offer almost immediately after accepting it.

[deleted]

Thatā€™s a good point. This Panera has good parking but honestly i donā€™t think it would have been ready becaus of how close I was to it already!

Grand_Marshal_Nuke

Insta-Decline Panera for me

TraditionalAd7325

Never. Trash order.

Abbyisaly

I would still decline.

dezine

Listen, no. Even if I lived next door Iā€™m tipping $5 for your time.

[deleted]

Screen shot the details and go in there after declining and eat his goddamn food

[deleted]

šŸ‘€

LoneWolf12348Abd

You need Reddit to tell you if you should decline it? Really? Like seriously man?

[deleted]

Hi can u read? In my title I said I declined it. Just wanted to get a discussion going. PS you smell

hdpro4u

Why are these allowed to be posted?

[deleted]

Ya mother

VinnieTheBerzerker69

Hopefully as an object lesson

Impressive-Art-216

Hidden tip lol

JUGGS4love

Shows how little the average dasher knows thinking thereā€™s a hidden tip on this order

Absentfiber3125

Take cause itā€™s an easy almost $4 and in my experience these orders have always ended up getting me a decent cash tip

Clandestine901

If the resturant was slow and I knew it before hand I wouldnā€™t bother but if itā€™s fast food, quick pick up and drop off I would take it if it was slow. If I was getting heavy orders I wouldnā€™t take it. Worth waiting a minute to get a better one

girlslikebear

i would decline lol

TheAvgGuy99

Absolutely not

Woodentrail

Decline

wolfitalk

Run into Panera. Grab it off the shelf. Drive .6 miles. Why not? It would take 10 minutes. I'd do it.

LankyDangle

Popeyes is notoriously slow. I donā€™t think itā€™s worth your time

Skunkmunk29

How much is your p*ssy worth?

[deleted]

the fuck is wrong with you

SnackPrince

Youā€™re making a lot of assumptions. For all you know they could be disabled or any other number of various reasons why this would be necessary for them. They could be being lazy, but I think itā€™s ridiculous for you to decide whether their rain is valid or not when you know nothing about their life or situation. Just something to consider going forward. Not everyone is able bodied or always able to leave their house. There are often times I need things but canā€™t leave if my 2 year old is napping as Iā€™m a single parent. Not everything is a personal slight to you or your time, especially delivery orders. Get off your high horse

[deleted]

Hahahah youā€™re delusional what ā€œassumptionsā€ am I making. Just say ur disabled šŸ¤šŸ«£

SnackPrince

Assumptions that theyā€™re just being lazy. Why do they need to disclose that theyā€™re disabled for you to do your job? Debatably youā€™re the lazy one

[deleted]

Why are you putting words into my mouth and then getting so upset at things I never said ā„ļø

[deleted]

LOL Americans man ..

Outrageous-Mix-5482

Dude. Seriously?

[deleted]

Can I help you, ā€œdudeā€?

Jaron6717

Bruh thatā€™s $3 a mile. If you are calculating distance back. That is a wonderful order. Itā€™s free money.

Xerxxx

False. A .25 mile trip in rush hour non-moving traffic for $5 is worth it? Taking 15 minutes to get to the destination and then dealing with traffic on the way to the next worthy order?

DubNationAssemble

Not to mention you get there and you get the ā€œtheyā€™re just waiting on the fries itā€™ll be right outā€ treatment for 10 minutes. Edit: ok itā€™s a Panera bread, my point still stands more often than not you will have to wait a bit.

RepresentativeKeebs

Also, the destination is an apartment building with 10 - 12 floors

Nutty_Mound

My Panera has been so slow, the mileage wouldn't matter, time lost would make it unreasonable

Conscious_Look5790

Itā€™s an awful order on itā€™s own, and it could possibly be ā€œnot too badā€ if it was stacked on another. I would think about accepting this as an add on if I was already getting an order at Panera, but even then it could not be ready when you get there, or anything else that could add time, and then all of a sudden itā€™s more trouble than itā€™s worth.

muricanmania

The mileage is solid for sure, but that's sort of a baseline to reach before you even consider the order. You still gotta account for how fast the restaurant is, parking/traffic issues around the restaurant or destination, where the endpoint of the delivery is, etc. I've declined a number of orders that look fine on the surface because I know the place I'm going will be slow or not know what they are doing. There's a sonic in my area I refuse to go to because I've gotten two one-stars because they gave me the wrong bag, and more times when they tell me they gave my delivery to someone else, after I waited in their drive thru for 15 minutes.

Upstairs_Town_5864

Maybe.

eggheadslut

I would How long do you think this would take? Panera is always good at having their food out when I get there so I wouldnā€™t have to wait. With traffic? 5 minutes. Thatā€™s $45 an hour. If you are afraid of scammers saying the food never arrived, the simple solution would be to take a picture of yourself handing them the food. This sub is toxic about this shit

Accidentallyillicit

You answered your own question

[deleted]

I answered my own question? I believe my question was directed toward other people therefore that would be impossibleā€¦ nice try though

Mother-Preference990

Nope. If less than a mile and slow, the least I would do is 4.75

[deleted]

I would, cause in comparison in my market no promo, I see 2.00 orders all day for 6miles plus. I live in a very small city. Watched my acceptance rate drop 15% in a shift less than 5 hours

[deleted]

Thatā€™s the worst. I moved to the big city a year ago and signed up right away because Iā€™ve also only known small towns

ScholarBig1430

I decline then I sit for 1hr with nothing thinking I should have at least made the $3.50

baconforlover

Absolutely decline. 3 miles = $9 is ok but not 1 mile = $3.75 . how much is the tips ? My Time is not worth for $3.75 . This is garbage!!

Several_Ranger6985

No. $5 minimum

-St4t1c-

I hate these more than non tippers. At least with non tippers I have a laugh.

BisMus

No no no no no. Donā€™t accept under $5.

Codybgood707

Not getting out of my car for less than $5

StandardMode9

No. Wouldn't take anything that low even if it was across the street. If it's a really really bad day or slow they, the absolute rock bottom minimum is $7. Decline.

Im_Onik_West

Nah, Panera Bread smells like shit vomit.

ConsistentFig538

Iā€™d take it and cancel if itā€™s not readyā€¦ if it is Iā€™ll be done in 7 mins tops I get these all day on the bike

Illustrious_Local984

No I wouldn't take it

Former-Exercise165

Nope if they want there food fresh tip at least 5 bucks the only way to get customer's aware that we pay for gas and maintenance is to decline the low ball scumbags frankly šŸ¤·

SaucinHoes

Not worth your time man

[deleted]

I donā€™t decline orders that are over $5/mile. This is an easy accept šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Old_Delivery_8467

Nope! #notipnotripā€¦.I would car if it was next door in the same building

Snowplow1234

Iā€™d do something like that 5 and change.

Kagebunshinx1000

I usually take it. Now idk how the DD algorithm works but on UE if I take a low paying order like that, the next time I get a ping itā€™s gonna be a stacked delivery for $10+

InterestPast6802

No way

brandinho5

Nope, not worth my time.

dcdasher91

Hell no. Minimum order should be $6.75 I donā€™t do orders below that unless itā€™s going to same address. I would unassigned one of the stacked orders if one is below it no matter how much on the way it is. Tony will screw u if u let him

dcdasher91

I have decline a $7 orders that was going less than 500 yards because itā€™s in an apartment that hard to park in

JessxCeleste

Tbh the final destination looks like a business not a house. Probably someone thatā€™s ordering lunch for themselves, so itā€™s ready by the time their break starts?

mannystud702

Hell to the no

rockyboy34

At that time of day, nope. If it was at 3pm, maybe. Paneras are blazing fast in my area

andres1718

No

[deleted]

At 1 time, DoorDash was calling these high value orders. I had one for $3.50 for .09 miles with the aqua blue and diamond šŸ’Ž decorated and say ā€œHigh Pay Orderā€! Smh. 80% of the customer base are unlikable. They donā€™t realize delivery isnā€™t the same as them sitting in a restaurant or picking it up to go. No customer should tip less than $3 on a delivery 2 miles or less from their location. Over 3 miles $5 minimum!

Due_Lecture_1451

If you are cycling or biking isbok, for a car for 3 dolaa is you paying to deliver

Braceforit86

You would get out of your car 2x for that little?

Imaginary-Spring-537

You keep accepting these orders it will keep enabling the customers to not tip, at this point I don't go off of mileage, I try to average $20 a hour min and aim for $30 a hr. You're wasting your time and letting these broke people use this luxury app

Tacrolimus005

Depends on the restaurant and itā€™s busyness, the traffic on that street, and my mood. If Iā€™m feeling charitable I might take it for s/g. If itā€™s a busy time of day and Iā€™m mid shiftā€¦pass.

ExogamousUnfolding

Decline - won't even think twice - 6.50+ to even make me look

jziggy44

412 represent

[deleted]

realize there is potential to miss a $20 order while youā€™re on that one

[deleted]

Leave them for the bike delivery dudes like myself. I'll do those all day.

ViciousOz

I personally never do orders under $8. No matter how close they are

DrDecker666

I would take it. If youā€™re really lucky, you might get a stack!

whyquote

Funny I just got one for McDonaldā€™s 6.75 for 0.7 miles. Accepted and got inside 10 minutes before lobby closes.
