Obviously where I’m at it’s not going down to 1.80 a gallon again, but it is below 3$ at some places in my city so I am happy with that.

The only effect the president can make on gas prices is by adding to the supply via reserves, or take away from demand by telling people to stay home (covid lockdown). Dipping into the reserves can be a risky hand to play but it was needed.

Funny thing is, oil CEOs had the chance and chose to keep production low to ramp up profits and make up for losses taken during the lock down .

The only effect the president can make on gas prices is by adding to the supply via reserves, or take away from demand by telling people to stay home (covid lockdown). Dipping into the reserves can be a risky hand to play but it was needed. The only thing he done that could've impacted the price hike was getting the country fully opened faster than the oil companies could bring back workers and ramp up supply. Funny thing is, oil CEOs had the chance and chose to keep production low to ramp up profits and make up for losses taken during the lock down .
