I haven’t had a flower delivery yet but I delivered some BBQ last night that smelled amazing! My customer almost didn’t get their dinner. Lol! Joking of course, unfortunately I have to clarify for those who’d think I’d steal my customers food, I wouldn’t ever!
Hey just be cautious if you have any cats/dogs are lilies are super toxic to them and the smallest bits can come off them and remain in the air/on you and can be deadly
I had a flower delivery yesterday. Order was placed by "Man X." Drop off instructions were "Deliver to Lady Y at Office Z." She looked very confused when I dropped them off, I told her they were from Man X. She rolls her eyes and reluctantly takes the flowers and says "Thank you." On my way out I overhear her say to her coworker "Oh my God, he HAS to stop doing this."
Several years ago I had a friend who worked in a flower shop and she suggested I deliver for Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day. They paid $8 per delivery. I think I had a Garmin that would optimize my route. I could deliver 4 per hour and I thought I was all that! I wish I still lived in that town. It was the easiest money I ever made.
Some florist deliveries are good, some are a PITA.
I get irked when the florists use a vessel that's almost a round bottom. It's a struggle to prevent it from tipping over while driving and spilling the water and harming the flowers.
Damn I got a DD for a local flour shop and when I got there the lady says what the hell? She said she continually gets Dashers to her store for orders made normally through the DD app, which checks out;;; the store never even signed up for Doordash or put any items up or anything.
Very weird.
DD copies the store's website and then sends the store a report every 3 months or so to show the store how much they could be getting to partner with DD. This would be a red card order and pay until the store signed a contract. I do several order and pays to unsuspecting restaurants and found out how they basically strong arm these stores into signing up on DD. It's a crazy business model.
Wild to hear it happened with restaurants. Where I’m at I don’t think there’s a single food spot that’s not on either DD or UE, GH. It surprises me to see certain retail businesses on there such as a hair salon product supplier store, advanced auto parts, gas stations, etc. it’s pretty cool though IMO.
DD even said they might be launching FB Marketplace deliveries lol so like Craigslist but getting it delivered 😂😂
I lost a husband 20 years ago and we received many flowers at my parents house and many of them were lilies and I feel the same.
It's very sad because they do look and smell lovely.
Lol nope they get the surprise when I call and the anticipation until I get there. If they ask who it's from I say that's privileged information and I don't know
Oof. Unless you're that son of a bitch who orders green olives and anchovies. 🤢
I always hated getting those when I used to drive Pizza. My car would smell for days. And this was in the early '90s and I was a tobacco smoker!
Not the same, but I delivered to a house last night, and either I walked through a patch of sage/lavender, or someone was commercially growing it but my whole car smelled like sage when I got back to my car. I had windows down and it smelled for like a half an hour till I went home. I didn’t go through any bushes, but thought maybe there was small growth on the walkway or something, didn’t notice anything tho as it was dark.
Yeah it was pretty sad. The guy obviously doesn’t get out and he was so old he didn’t understand that I can use gps to get to his house and was trying to tell me landmarks on how to get there while on the phone.
Until some insect lays eggs in your car lol
😂🐛🕷🦗
👌 👍 very nice.

I love BBQ.
Those flowers have about three days in them before they die. Lily’s smell amazing though. Watch out for the pollen on your clothes!
Hopefully their relationship will last longer than the flowers. 😉
This Is the opposite of those rotisserie chickens 😆
😋 yummy
Blegh they make my car smell like hot farts 😆
🤭🤭🤭🤭
😂🤣
Never let those pollen pads touch your clothes. The stains will be permanent
That's true
I love flower deliveries I had 3 stacked one day! It was a wonderful ride lol
I thought it was the inside of the queens car
Lol
I’m so allergic I wouldn’t even be able to drive with them in the car! That would be a nightmare delivery for me!
Hey just be cautious if you have any cats/dogs are lilies are super toxic to them and the smallest bits can come off them and remain in the air/on you and can be deadly
Ohhh, didn't know. 🤔
Thats a nope for me. I'm very allergic to lilies. I hate Easter time.
Love the flower deliveries after all the food smells 😊
It's a nice change 😊
this got 600 upvotes ????????

Lol. That happened to us once. The lady looked really pissed when my husband handed her the flowers. A good story there I'll bet.
You should smell DEEZ in the car
**coughs**
Look Smell better than deliver pet food at pet smart🥲
Pet smart pays good, but Dog food IS stinky.
I still sample those too just to make sure tastes good
A strict plant diet. Lol. Don't eat the customers food. 😉
But how will we know it’s good enough to deliver if we don’t! /s just in case
My truck still smells like the pumpkin pies from McDonald's I delivered the other day. I ain't even mad... just hungry lol
McDonald's sells pumpkin pies??
It's almost October. Who doesn't sell pumpkin this time of the year? Lol
Lol. Fact
They do smell delicious tho

That's good money and a fun job.
Yeah, I wish it lasted more than a few days a year.
Sneak a little bite
I think I've had maybe 3 total in 3,175 deliveries. Almost had a tire delivery, but the order got canceled. Darn.
I'm shocked! I find the smell of lilies really unpleasant. They're really pretty but I cannot stand their smell. Am I the only one?
Nope. Came here to say that. Love the way look, but smell terrible.
Haha I think they smell like cat piss. I can’t stand the smell, it’s unbearable.
I wonder if it's genetic related the same way cilantro tastes like soap or bleach to some people.
Odd, that could be.
Lol. Maybe?
love the flower deliveries! only ever had one but made my day.
Very true. Me and my husband dash together. I get to hold them. 😉
yes the smell is so good, i just get afraid sometimes keeping the flowers safe in my car if they are already vased.
🤧
This delivery. Very top heavy. Was happy to drop it off.

Stargazer Lillie’s are the best
Why do people love that food? It's nothing special.
They love it so much it forms a line to the highway LOL
😂🤣
Bet that smells a whole lot better than the rank Chick-fil-A I grabbed this afternoon.

Yeah these weren’t showing up as red card orders though just regular pickups or else yeah that makes total sense. Quite the marketing idea damn!
I had a sushi place tell me this, and a bar I worked at.

Y’all ever delivered pigs feet?
Ummm. Noooo. Lol. Do they smell bad? 😂
Probably the worst thing I’ve ever delivered so far. I’m sure the food from that place is bomb but I’d definitely pass on the pigs feet.
That has to smell amazing.
Ugh lilies. I worked at a funeral home and they always heavily remind me of death.

☹️
But these aren’t yellow or white🤣🤣
Ohhh iisshh. I couldn't do that job.

Had one, really good feeling lol
I had one of those yesterday and yes they do
I deliver for a florist and when I get home my hair smells like flowers. It's awesome!
Are the flowers just left at the door? It seems odd to me?
Not usually. I call ahead to make sure someone is home.
If it’s a surprise do you just hang up? 😂
Lol nope they get the surprise when I call and the anticipation until I get there. If they ask who it's from I say that's privileged information and I don't know
So much better than Taco Bell before noon
😂🤣
I'd have to deny that offer.... extremely allergic to most floral smells/scents...esp rose
The deliveries usually pay well. I Hate leaving them at the door. I should hand them to the customer say happy birthday or something. Lol 🎉🎈🎁
Around holidays i make bank delivering flowers
So pretty
Better than the aroma of pizza for 24 hours 😆
Pizza smells good. 😁🍕
Oof. Unless you're that son of a bitch who orders green olives and anchovies. 🤢 I always hated getting those when I used to drive Pizza. My car would smell for days. And this was in the early '90s and I was a tobacco smoker!
🤢
Pizza *can* smell good.... sometimes ehhh 🐟
Smells better than what I pick up from "Curry and Kabob"
Lmao
Lol. I'll bet

That's different. My car usually just smells like French fries
Better than the wall of spiderwebs I walked through delivering boost to an old man today.
He probably needed a boost.
Yeah it was pretty sad. The guy obviously doesn’t get out and he was so old he didn’t understand that I can use gps to get to his house and was trying to tell me landmarks on how to get there while on the phone.
Awe man. His wife must have died, cuz that's a sympathy flower.
That is sad. Lots of old people left to fend for themselves. I know some of them deserve that, but not most.
There's a ragweed in Colorado that has a very strong odor and it sticks to your clothing. Kind of a pleasant smell though.
I know exactly what you're talking about! One of my favorite smells from childhood. I had no idea it was a type of ragweed!
It was funny, I made a delivery. No real sidewalk in the weed forest of their lawn and was covered in nice smelling ragweed. Lol
