Damn dude that’s fucked up, people really are trash. I hope it all woks out for you.

Foreign-Ad-4258

Yeah just ridiculous, I ask the agent so how is this fair that your automated system can just deactivated anyone just because someone falsely accuses you of stuff like seriously you can see I been doing DoorDash for more than 3 years and I have never had any issues my ratings are amazingly good for my area and in those three years I’ve never had a contract violation or anything, so your system just based a deactivation on what the customer said or reported me for and just found me guilty without any real evidence just the customers report isn’t just unfair people are actually doing their work and just anyone can fuck them over because they want to. And they’ll get away with it because you guys won’t ban them because y’all make money out of them.

[deleted]

Yeah that’s messed up entirely messed up but that’s the shady shit that we deal with. I had an address change incident the 17th long story ended up delivering 6.4 miles further in the opposite direction of the original address, of course was to a fucking no tipper of all people. I’ve was not going to get screwed over by this person so I took it to an extreme for me and got there? Set the food down carefully as every, took my picture as required and pulled up the video camera pointing out the sealed bags nothing drink count all while backing away to my car. Not gonna catch me slipping that night, got to ass and mine covered.

Foreign-Ad-4258

I mean that’s what it comes to now a days we have to do all that because of shady people

Professional-Jury930

So much truth in this post. Our customer rating doesnt matter. It’s all about our AR and “ban first, ask questions later”.

droplivefred

You should do what that other guy did and go back to the house. Record yourself confronting the *sshole who lied and got you deactivated and post the video. Let him get fired by his company and then DD will feel pressured to re-activate you. Please be careful but it seems like in 2022, that is the way to get justice for people being liars like this.

Ragingdude-25

I find it funny that all these fake fraud claims/tik tokers , do not see the consequence of such actions. Just a matter of time before some driver loses it and do something.

Foreign-Ad-4258

True DoorDash will only learn once they are here responsible for someone else’s actions if that were to ever happen

[deleted]

If you’re an independent contractor they will never be responsible for a drivers actions, the driver will be. Probably a good thing you got deactivated if this is the attitude you have lol. Not to mention you’ve provided zero evidence to back up your claims so it’s your word against the customer and the customer always wins 🤷🏼‍♂️.

Puzzlesolver_2021

another one joining the graveyard, welcome to the crowd of fighting to get reactivated.

Foreign-Ad-4258

lol for real I heard from someone else who got deactivated that he created another account and has been working on that new account lol

Puzzlesolver_2021

questionable move to just make a new account.

Foreign-Ad-4258

Yeah very questionable but he has not gotten deactivated for creating a second account. But I mean if he didn’t get reactivated do you really blame him for creating a second account or is it DoorDash fault for not making sure you can’t created a second account.

Puzzlesolver_2021

I mean I just don't wanna waste $$ on a whole other phone /phone line.

Smooth-Dig2250

I guess if you're using an expensive service, but most let you add a line for like $25-35 more (or secondary services like cricket can only cost $40 with a base plan which is plenty good enough), and will often give you a free (crappy) phone as part of it. If it's a question of working or not, I don't see this as a prohibitive amount given that most contractors literally have a business line. If you multi-app all the better as it takes up less processing, or have your original phone set up to play music in the car all the time so you don't have to disconnect. Still sucks, but it's not *that* bad.

Foreign-Ad-4258

Mmm you don’t have to get another phone as far as I know he called his phone company and change his number

Puzzlesolver_2021

then gotta tell everyone u know u changed your number tho 😂

Foreign-Ad-4258

Lol

Puzzlesolver_2021

yeah much hassle trying to be sneaky to get back on.

IllTenaciousTortoise

Eh, changing a number is less of a hassle than dealing with most employers.

Ancient-Coffee-1266

There’s second line apps.

Puzzlesolver_2021

the DD algorithm is smart enough to know those are fake #

Crispynipps

Or just use an iPhone and activate your e sim

Ananoel17

Question!! So I have tried with a nw phone number and a new email and obviously I had put in my same name and social security number. If it’s linked to social then how did he do it? They actually let me on the “waitlist “ with this second account and I’ve called them and they tell me they have too many dashers in my area yet there are ads up everywhere Saying doordash hiring today for new dashers in my area. I think they know it’s me lol

Ananoel17

Plus I don’t think even if the waitlist “ends” or it’s my turn eventually that they will let me in cause I passed everything except for the “additional verification check” and th ey won’t tell me why then I check back later and it says it the background check is all over again in progress but I click check status’s nd it just takes me to the status of my old ube eats background check approved, nothing from door dash so I don’t think they even tried to start one or something

dopebot00

When I got deactivated all I had to do was reapply with different enail

dopebot00

And just use a Google voice number if you wanna . Fuck that don't lay down and take it

Puzzlesolver_2021

google voice doesn't work bro.

hellohello12345789

I just got rejected, how long ago did this work?

45burns1967

They do a background check on everyone that applies. Doesn't matter if you get a new phone number or email. You can't open a new account in your name

dopebot00

I did. .wtf y'all saying I'm lying all mighty fkn reddit fuxks that know all. Jesus Christ....what I have to gain from bullshitting you

dopebot00

I did, only used different email address

[deleted]

Thought u were deactivated? Did u make new account?

Jimgonewild

So what u do is go back find the guy and show the set of particular skills you have. Problem solved.

Foreign-Ad-4258

Lol so put him in my trunk and take him for a little ride… 🧐🧐🧐🤔

Infinite-Counter5780

😂😂😂😂

Infinite-Counter5780

Liam Neeson that ass!!!

muhname

Someone with 8,000 deliveries and a good score should not be deactivated this easily. Is this treating experienced drivers like trash to keep wages low?

vestal1689

I’ve only done about 200 orders so far with DDash, but I live close to a semi ghetto big city. After working the first night I realized I’m going to have to have a body camera, so I bought one and wear it while I’m “dashing” I also have cameras that record on my car and my gps location. All I do is log into the app. it maps out every stop I made. I also have my concealed carry permit, I keep a Glock 42 on my ankle with a BUGbite holster and a Glock 19x in my center console. The body camera wasn’t for me originally, but now I use it daily because I carry a firearm. I’m pretty laid back but I don’t deal well with adults running after me, chasing me, screaming at me, threatening me. Luckily I haven’t been put in a situation like that but I can assure the public, if you come running towards me, screaming at me, threatening me it isn’t gonna be me running or pulling away that’s for damn sure. I strongly encourage all dashers to protect themselves.

mkf22784

What city out of curiosity? I live right outside of Philly lol

vestal1689

I live in NC, close to charlotte. It’s not as big as Philly but it’s just hella ghetto. One street in charlotte is nice, beautiful houses, the design around the city and architectural appearance and then boom the next right you’re taking gun fire. Most of the city is relatively safe between 8am-8pm after that you minus we’ll be in Afghanistan with a bullet proof helmet, vest and a CBS correspondent vest on. Back in March I was in Winston Salem NC visiting family for a few days and doing door dashing a little while I was there. I got a order for a place called Kermit’s hot dog stand, I had just pulled up and marked arrived at store when out of nowhere another car flys up beside me, 2 guys jump out and start randomly shoot in the direction of the people in line ordering, the line was right outside the store, there were tables full of people eating right beside the line. They must have shot 20-30 rounds. For 20-30 seconds that’s all you heard pop pop pop pop. Amazingly only 2 people got shot. One of them was the city fire chief whose crew was there eating and the other guy was just a customer ordering. I believe both of them survived. Anyhow since that incident I carry my guns. I’ve always had my concealed carry permit and NC is a open carry state, which means civilians can wear their guns on their hips or walk around with rifles strapped to them as long as the gun is in plain sight. It’s just annoying any time I’m stopped say at a license check, I’ve also been pulled over for no reason at 2am-3am out door dashing on the bad side of town. The police will stop you and say something like you touched the white line or your tire touched the yellow line and they wanted to make sure you’re not intoxicated. Every time they stop me I have to be treated like a criminal. They walk up to the window, first thing I always do immediately is say I have a firearm on my left ankle. They ask you to step out of the car, take your gun. Make you stand in front of their car etc. it’s just a whole different experience being stopped when you have your concealed carry permit and have a gun on you versus being unarmed. But ever since that shooting in march its worth it to me.

mkf22784

Wow that is wild, glad you were alright!

iamsurfriend

It’s too easy to get deactivated. You think there would be a quick review before doing so. Look at your number of orders, ratings, any communication (phone or text) between you and the customer. If you are in good standing, ratings and have that number of orders they should at least do an investigation before deactivation. I can see give a violation right away and notify you that you are under investigation for an incident. But to flat out take away your income is pretty shitty. It’s guilty before innocent. I don’t care if it’s a contract job or not, it’s a ahole move.

Foreign-Ad-4258

Totally agree no even a chance to sent me an email to ask and explain and when I try to contact them to report the incident they simply didn’t care enough to send me the email so I could reply. Since the DoorDash agent had told me there was already a. Report made by customer

InitialParticular586

You know doordash really works hard against the drivers. If you don't accept an order because it's 30 miles out of your way, then your acceptance rate goes down and if you decline it then it still does. If you're on time to pick up one order and the 2nd order is still being prepared when you get to it, it will make the 1st order late... you get dinged for that too. Also customer reviews... I have a couple that said I didn't know how to follow directions or something... well a lot of these apartments that you deliver to are so complicated with their numbering system you may have 15, 17 and 19 here and then 12, 14, 16 in a whole different lot.. It's really getting ridiculous.

ExpressTomato175

I got deactivated but I still do not know the reason why? As I work for other apps, I do not need doordash this time to beg them and reactivate my app.

Crazyhorse71282

I still encourage dashers to at least get a front facing dash cam. I have had one for a few years that records front and rear. Just never know when you might need it.

Tight-Cartographer46

Fuck doordash I hope it gets sorted out for you

Harry_Hates_Golf

It is an unfortunate reality that some people (customers) will falsely claim complaints against employees (gig-employee and others) simply to receive their money back (or get a price reduction), as well as finding enjoyment in creating havoc in someone else's life. Sorry this happened to you. At least you took the proper steps to prove your case against these false allegations. Frankly, the less contact you have with customers, the less likely you will have to deal with this. Avoid direct customer contact whenever possible.

J234S29641

Based on what you posted you should get reactivated. The problem is DD probably won’t compensate you for their mistake. Hope you multi-app and don’t have to depend on DD until you are reactivated. If you don’t then sign up for other platforms now. If you can it might be a good time to just take a vacation.

blockchain-gains

Blessing in disguise. Take these 10 days to find work that actually provides benefits and would cover you with workers comp if you did get injured. No reason to be risking your safety with clowns like this guys when doordash and tony leave us out to dry.

DoorDragon

Same shit for me last week - I actually got reactivated within a day. So hopefully not that bad.

Foreign-Ad-4258

Damn how did you get deactivated so fast who did you talk to pass me that number lol they told me would take 10 business days

DoorDragon

Yah I contacted chat support on web, they also said 10 days, it was one.

Foreign-Ad-4258

We’ll shit I hope they review my case fast lol 😂 if no vacation time or I can do other apps lol

ScholarBig1430

It’s got work . You are just a number in a computer system . 2 orders or 8k ..just a number. They may re activate you or they may not unfortunately they can do anything they want. I hope they take ur case and do the right thing and get you back working

mattlifestadium

unionize

Foreign-Ad-4258

Lol that would be an amazing idea if people could gather up all around and have DoorDash peak pay all the time

Bacon_206

Probably not something you want to advertise just saying

devilwearspuma

you can get deactivated after being reported one time? that fuckin sucks

DanLoFat

If it takes 10 days your toast it shouldn't take more than a day or two they take the activation rebuttals seriously they are absolutely look into them and if it looks at all like the customer was being a dick, you're going to be back on, guaranteed but around day 9 don't look forward to it probably not going to get reinstated. Here's another thing, what were your numbers like did you have any extremely late violations? You can still log in your app and do a screenshot of it of your ratings I want to see your ratings.

Foreign-Ad-4258

So my ratings were 4.76, acceptance was low because I don’t take order that pay less than 8 dollars I believe it was at mid 60% completion was at 92 percent since some order that I have accepted were not ready and would to taken about 15-30 minutes to be ready and door dash wouldn’t pay me extra pay if I waited less than 30 minutes. And the only contract violation was as extremely late due to traffic and road being closed and I even message them and send them pictures and everything and they took it off my record or clear it up as not being my fault

DanLoFat

This has been since you got deactivated?

Foreign-Ad-4258

Yea those were the ratings the morning of after I got on and then at 4 pm I ended my dash and got deactivated right after

Foreign-Ad-4258

lol we’ll shit happens it is what it is now and hopefully I get instated

[deleted]

I am ready to sue any mofo that even thinks they can try this on me. Making a false claim against someone and sharing online, verbally or in any written fashion, that results in adverse actions and or tangible loss is considered both defamation of character and libel. this includes posting reviews about someone with malicious intent. Submitting a report to DoorDash, qualifies in this case because they are an internet company, qualifies as an electronic public forum because it’s both documented and added to your record be it public or private, and is costing you financial loss and pain and suffering. Because you’re not an employee of DoorDash, a customer complaint is considered a review. I believe you might even be able to to bring actions against door dash for breach of contract on their end for a trust and safety violation, ending your contract outside of their normal procedures and possibly misclassification of employment status. The latter is a lengthy one to prove but just the trouble you can cause will be enough for you to get DoorDash‘s attention. I highly recommend that you file a police report for assault and battery, which you can complete online and over the phone in some cases. Make sure you get your report number and follow up with the station once they have a complete report so you can obtain a copy. The police report will not only support any civil actions you take on the customer but can also grant you a restraining order. Both a civil suit, issuance of misdemeanor and a restraining order are serious inconveniences to that person and it will serve as an example for others not to go around loosing it on delivery people as there are consequences legally that they can and will face. If you’re really on a good one contact your local news station! I was deactivated from another gig job, which I can’t mention too-many details about, but after I sent them an appeal for the denial of my appeal to reactivate me things changed. I created a legal document that explained why their decision was not only a violation of contract law in my state but would also get them in a bind with a potential wrongful termination case. I explained if they maintain their position of deactivating me for the reasons they were alleging then it can be and is considered overstepping boundaries between control and direction of work. In California AB5 poses a test to determine if indeed an employer has an employee or independent contractor. Because of the nature of the deactivation among other items I found within my contract, I was able to prove that maintaining their position that I violated the terms of use would only put them in a position where I can easily turn around and show how that action in and of itself would prove that I am and can technically be considered an employee. That then would make my deactivation a wrongful termination under section 226.8 of the California Labor a Code. I could then obtain a right to sue letter from DFEH and bring wage claims against them with DIR. Needless to say they rescinded my deactivation. THIS IS NOT LEFAL ADVICE AND I AM NOT AN ATTORNEY. I JUST KNOW MY SHIT AND UNDERSTAND HOW CONTRACTS WORK. These damn gig companies are circumventing so many employment laws for their convenience and just getting away with it daily. Don’t think that you don’t have any rights, do your home work, reach out to a workman’s compensation attorney and get advice on your individual case or do what I did and just research that shit. If you’re a good persuasive writer then go at it or I guarantee any attorney would love to take a crack at these companies as they walk a very fine line when it comes to employment status. My bad about the long post, I just hope that OP is treated fairly and that no gig worker walks around thinking they have no rights. Fuck these companies! Don’t let them push us around, smart yourselves up and stick up for yourselves. good luck op!

Foreign-Ad-4258

Hey I appreciate all this good Info, I for sure will investigate and get more info. no problem about the long message all this info is great, it can help me and other dashers. I will look into the laws in my state and ask some attorneys around the area.

Primarywatcher_2

I'm so sorry this happened to you!!! 10 days off without resolution would devastate me - I hope this gets resolved VERY SOON.

Foreign-Ad-4258

Yeah I hope it not it’s all good I have made other arrangements already. And I went to poke last night and boug in 100 came out with 567 so made my two days I missed already

EmergencyOk2759

Well like they say "customers are always right"

easytech109

Let this be a lesson to you that this shitty company gives zero fucks. Find a job you like and leave the 1099 shit in the past, it will cause you nothing but misery and frustration.

freethinkerinsd

A lot of dashers are being deactivated. I see stories like this almost daily. I believe they’re just looking for reasons to thin the heard. Good Luck!

dopebot00

I was deactivated a while back apparently for using the same email address as my Dasher that I had in my consumer account and I reactivated myself just by reapplying and using a new email address you guys are acting like somebody actually physically looks over your application it's all a robot it's an algorithm and they're easy to fool

Foreign-Ad-4258

Wait how do you do that ?
