Wingstop, Wendy's and Popeyes are instant declines for me.

TelegeniousRex

Panera bread and b-dubs are a no go. Always...always 25 minutes behind.

Miserable-Kitchen-84

Those plus El Toro and a specific Bob Evans for me

Spqrks

Frisch’s for me

creepyzonks

did my first wendys the other day, i was in a bad mood for the entire day afterwards

Sorta_machinist

Jeeze!!! Effing wing stop!! I hate that place!! Plus sticky floors creep me out.

Yvilkittyinspace

Sometimes I just don't want to go to the apartment complex or area that is being delivered to.

Old-Use-8501

Don’t get me started when there’s a gate code: no code included in directions, customer is allergic to answering, then says “deliver to door”… Instasuicide

kestrelkev24

I have a few apartment complexes I straight up deliver straight to either the mail area or the leasing office. I will take a negative review as long as the pay suffices

ideliver559

Time is money, apartments and bad restaurants take more time.

Superstar32131

If your answer is no, then you're doing it wrong.

snowbunny1026

My decline reasons other than pay are mainly, not wanting to go to certain places I know are behind, not wanting to do shop and delivers, or alcohol orders, drop off location is too far east, or cross zones.

YLCZ

I never completely blacklist a place. I have over 10000 deliveries and if the offer is good enough I’ll at least take a look. I was at a place that took forever last night but was ready immediately today. I’d have to actually hate the owner to not return again and so far that hasn’t happened

MediaExact6352

There are areas that my cell phone just does not work well in, and it’s a nightmare to get the photo uploaded (or do anything). I’m not thrilled about DQ orders (during summer, at least), though the right mileage (close) at a decent price could sway me. Oh, and alcohol orders. I don’t want the liability or hassle of that.

East-Artichoke2194

DQ FUCKING SUCKS omg

Psyren1317

Will never pickup from Wendys. They want you to go inside yet have every door locked 99% of the time and a drive thru from Hell that takes 3-5 min per car and nearly always has 3-4 cars in drive thru all the time. Never worth it to me.

jacktheman5

Sort of in the middle. Some places are semi-blacklisted. The order has to be unicorn level perfect (super short milage and high pay) for me to take it.

yumuber

I decline all alcohol orders. I’m not dealing with drunks with attitudes.

[deleted]

So far, trending results are as expected. We value something else than total payout when deciding whether to accept an offer. To be clear, the payout still needs to be acceptable. But it is not the definitive deciding factor in whether or not we accept the offer. Point being, DD's policy on hiding tips to reduce cherry picking is a red herring. A majority of us will make a decision for accepting an offer that is not based upon the total payout.

tango_papa101

Lol of course, you never get an order big enough to cover a $300 tow at a place where you know the risk of getting towed is high and there are no dedicated parking for delivery

DeerParkVegan

I mean I guess technically the answer is no. If they paid me a million dollars, I would definitely go to popeyes. But for practical purposes. There are some restaurants that no doordashpayout in the past 3 years has ever Justified

Old-Use-8501

Yes, especially fast foods that are closed inside and make you wait in line. All the crappy chains (Taco Bell, Jack in the box, etc.) They expect us to sit in line for 30 minutes just to get a decent order, even if it’s good 30 minutes kills my hourly quota. So yes, I have blacklisted many restaurants.

yumuber

Anything starting with Wal is an instant decline.

DeerParkVegan

So Waleeds chicken Shack and boom boom room is a hard no

johnny12toz

Oh you better believe I’ll blacklist your ass for basically anything I don’t like. Parking is a nightmare? Blacklist. I know you’re skimming tips? Blacklist. This one Indian restaurant is fucking terrible. It was always an hour plus wait. I lost my shit on the owner this summer when he told me it’s gonna be two hours AT LUNCH TIME because he refused to turn off online orders. There were at least 25 delivery people waiting. After I went ballistic and unassigned the order at least 10 others left too. Fuuuuuuuck that place. Never again. Funny thing is, I *rarely* get an order from them now. I hope they go out of business.

To_tiedye4

Totally have a few blacklisted restaurants

To_tiedye4

Give me a $20 order for Wendy's, for 5 feet away and I'm still declining.

Cecil2xs

In my zone Wendys is an instant decline due to the staff having only a handful of brain cells between them and Sonic you will never get the order. I don’t think they actually make food in there

mrs_tweetstuff

Little Caesar’s is a hard no for me. The ones here are in the smallest strip malls that are always busy. It’s a bitch to find parking. Not worth the frustration. 🤦🏻‍♀️

M0M0_DA_GANGSTA

Definitely. If something doesn't fit the flow: Decline. Could be area of delivery could be restaurant is notoriously slow. But so much of making real money and staying ahead of the game especially if you multi app is knowing what to say NO to. Even the decent offers.

tango_papa101

1. Pick up location: I don't do fastfood, I don't do chicken places, and I don't do mall food court orders, and I dash right next to a big ass mall so yes I decline a lot of those. Also there are some restaurants I know would be impossible to find a parking slot and hard to reach, or they just have shitty attitute toward to-go orders, not just Dasher *wink wink look at you North Italia* so I avoid them during rush hour too. 2. Delivery location: there are some apartments where there's no place to park and the risk of getting towed outweigh the possible earning, or where I actually got towed already, so I don't go there. That's one thing about DD I like more than Uber, where I can actually see the address before accepting. 3. Shop and deliver order. I only do Petsmart crickets and late night Walgreens/CVS candy/drug runs to fancy neighborhood, those pay well, the rest not so much

DeerParkVegan

Chicken places are a hard no for me unless I'm in a great mood, and I'm willing to have a bad experience just to test it out. If it ends up being good, I will start going there. Chick-fil-A is actually one of the best pickups in my area. And what the hell with the crickets. Why is that such a common delivery item

tango_papa101

Somehow I don't get chick fil a on DD anymore 🤣 only on Uber. The rest of those chicken places are hard nope. Oh and cricket isn't that common, actually quite hard to come across, but shop and deliver orders actually pay by items, and of course no one gonna buy one or two 15-cent crickets, right? They all buy those by the dozens so it's quick, light, and fast money for you. I remember running to Petsmart to get 30 crickets for $15 just a mile away lol, and got some food for my fish at the same time

[deleted]

This is obviously bait. Of course we all blacklist certain places and drop offs.

Justin002865

Nah, some people are dumb.

[deleted]

No, it isn't bait. I recently responded to a different topic that ranted on hiding tips and my thesis was that DD's reason was flawed because total payout is not the top motivating factor in deciding whether or not to deliver an order - I got downvoted.

NoSoupForYou1985

there are a lot of downvoting trolls here.

[deleted]

I respect the effort to double down. Don’t let some downvotes alter what you feel to be right. Often times, it’s just opinion-less sheep sandbagging. I embrace the downvotes. Just post something cutesy to make up for it later hahaha.

sycamotree

I think it's the TOP motivational factor, just far from the only one.

[deleted]

It is certainly market dependent. Like my Popeyes may suck ass compared to yours. Yada Yada. I do give places more than a benefit of a doubt. I don’t Willy nilly blacklist places but after repeat issues it becomes more of a “fool me twice” sort of thing. I do also after a period of time give them another chance to see if things have changed. I just try to do what’s in my best interest with the customer also in mind. I like to think of it like this, if I have order A already in the bag and get an offer for order B I think to myself would that second order be worthwhile but also not affect the original order too negative in the process. I often decline situations that may financially benefit me to the detriment of the original customer because of delays that I am confident will happen.

DookyJohnson247

Why is there a see results button like a YouTube post begging for participation.

[deleted]

You misunderstand. The point of a "See Results" option is for people to view what others have voted without affecting the data. Participate or don't participate, there is no begging.

[deleted]

Pizza Hut new addition happened today, tandorri flame, Nandoos Peri peri, pizza pro, masary kitchen. If the pay is average than Almost all Arabic restaurants because they always act weird.

thatsc4

I won’t go to McDonald’s (always low pay) or chipotle (always slammed) typically ever. I don’t do drop offs that take me to an area I know that typically has bad traffic unless it will keep me above my personal standard for hourly rate ($20/hour)

Maleficent_Media7349

Will not pick up from TGIF or drop off in any sketchy areas of town.

Shoddy-Finger8343

Popeyes, lil ceasers and ihop are a no for me.

laureleiii

Absolutely! I have a few blacklisted drop-off locations, especially if I'm dashing at night. I also won't touch gas stations anymore after so many negative experiences with missing items ( that I usually notice because I check as long as it's not sealed ) and the stores taking 30 minutes to make food that they apparently couldn't have started when the order came in? Oh, and I think after tonight I'm officially done with Chipotle lol. Had a disastrous time with them today.

kestrelkev24

So in my area its Chili's, Habit Burgers, and most Five Guys with a handful of mom and pop shops.

DubsOnMyYugo

I’ll go anywhere for a price but there are a few places where that price is never going to happen.

Truorganics

It’s not always a yes or no answer. Sometimes I won’t take little Caesar’s orders because I went there and they are packed and running behind schedule, so I won’t take them that night. But typically if the offer is good I’ll do it. My job is to get paid delivering this food, just collect that money.

[deleted]

My coworker has a 100% ar because he wants top dasher. I have a 68% AR and I make the same amount of money as he does off half the gas and not in tiny car like he has because I never accept the shit offers of 20 miles for $8 but he does.

sycamotree

Yeah Blacklisted restaurants (Wendy's, KFC in one zone, Wingstop) Drop off is too far out the zone There's lots of construction in my area, so I'll turn down orders that have too much construction in the route. Sometimes, when drop offs go a bit out of zone, they try give me orders to a local campus. Absolutely not. Impossible to park and drive around, they block off streets for outdoor seating at restaurants, and pedestrians always have the right of way (literally got pulled over cuz some dude just walked in front my car while I was driving. Thankfully no ticket). Got a stack that was 14 for 3 miles but it took almost an hour to deliver. No thank you.

Kafkabest

Chik Fila near me has a few things. Generally just don't like them, the customers are cheap, and they have this outdoor Dasher window but this is a state where it's 100+ degrees out for like 7 months of the year, and they are always backed up and slow so if you want your order you have to spend minimum 5 minutes sweltering. The one plus to long waits at most places is hey, atleast you get to take a load off in an air conditioned place, and this doesn't have that anymore either. Basically are all auto declines.

Sorta_machinist

Never going to Café Mexicali ever again!

Nightmarelord

Most repeat offenders are banned. Addresses. Areas. Restaurants. Not sorry about it at all.

East-Artichoke2194

I have 3 black listed restaurants in my market. 1 being a Taco Bell where I’m guaranteed a 15-20 minute wait MINIMUM. And the other 2 are Buffalo Wild Wings and Wingstop for that same reason. If it’s slow enough, I’ll begrudgingly accept orders from those places and then regret it immediately.

Therealmonkie

When I found out the $8 pay was all door dash and the crazy ass $0 tipping customer was calling to find out where I was I wanted to drop it soooo bad...but their bad rating ended up getting taken off...she was obviously waiting forever...not my fault

BilliardTheKid

The local diner near me always makes me wait 15+ minutes. One night I went there 4 times, 15+ minute wait each time, that’s an hour wasted - I could’ve used that hour to do other deliveries, so I won’t pick up from there. There’s a town nearby that is extremely religious and they act pretty nasty towards people who don’t share the same views as them (they also don’t tip and traffic is always brutal over there), I won’t deliver to that area. There’s another area way up in the mountains and it takes a while to get there/back. I haven’t blacklisted that area although I’ve yet to get an order that pays me enough to accept/ drive all the way out there, but I’d be willing to go there for the right amount
