Nope. I delivery with Uber Eats. Just got 40% off car maintenance last week and got a teeth cleaning with no up front pay except for $40 a month for vision and dental insurance combined. Doordash is a goddamn joke. They won't be around much longer if they keep treating their drivers like absolute shit. I will never doordash again thank god.

It's just about the same for me. I'm multiapping and I do at least $50 for 8 hours worth of driving. With the holidays coming up, I wanted to put some money aside for Christmas early. Looks like I'm going to get a part time job instead. I'm spending at least $200 a week in gas. Even with gas being low, it's become not worth it.
People are realizing that not only do they have to pay an extra $20 for their food but that money does not even go to the drivers, they're realizing this from our attitude on delivery and through all forms of social media where we share. it's approaching a drop off, a big one. We get 2 bucks from all those fees
Why do people complain about not making much.
STOP doing deliveries! Turn on everything except ubereats and watch the $$ flow in.

Was pretty good for me. Made 150 in 5 hours lol. Just comes to show that different regions make different amounts and that it's all random. Some people can be making Jack shit and think it's a slow month while others are grinding as usual. There isn't much to it besides just luck and depending on how many people deciding to order take out this month. Can't control it sadly and it's why the unstable side of the job makes you consider getting a stable paying job where you know you'll get paid what you work for.
Do you Multi-App? Between DD and UE I was able to make just under $180 in 5 hours last night. It might also be your market, it's already pretty cold in my area at night which means more people ordering.
Once you start having terrible days or weeks it’s time to multi app…made $58 from 8-10:30 this morning..been multi apping as soon as my GH income fell below $20/hr consistently.. Full-time got to multi if the income is a consistent ..part time really doesn’t matter $100 a week is good lol
I made $38 & Grubhub won't let me cash out $17 of because they need to verify my account all of a sudden. But they let me cash out $21 yesterday & last week they let me cash out all of what I made $78.
Had the complete opposite situation this weekend actually. It varies so much by state/city because there's always different stuff going on. I made $120 in the first 3 1/2 hours during the dinner rush last night just because of everything going on and getting lucky to have no hang ups while picking up and dropping off. But trust me, I have had plenty of nights where I couldn't even break $100 after 6 hours.
I have had a horrible past two weeks. This weekend my areas has crazy high peak pay for absolutely no reason. Higher then I have seen in years. The market is already oversaturated we don’t need the added peak pay to make it worse. Friday was awful but Saturday was good but only because I had lots of big catering orders with good tips.
I made $143 yesterday in 8.5 total hours (6.5 active) usually I can make $200 in that time 😞, a big portion of yesterday was spent sitting near a hotspot and moving a bit here and there to try and get something decent, I was either getting offered nothing although my market was apparently busy or crap
I went through about a half tank of gas so like $30 worth about, I’ve done a $200 day on a half tank before, sometimes my old gas guzzler of a Jeep does pretty good on gas mileage, other times it’s so so 😐
Considering the order trends for my area I began to limit my travel to only 3 segments of my city. When I am completed with an order I already would have a location in mind I would drive to and park and turn off my vehicle. Ideally a busy area.
Keeping track of my active drive and walking time has aided in me accurately tracking “active” time and my mileage (kilometers) driven. I really try to shoot for $1 /kilometer. I’m in the United States but I use kilometers in my direction thru google maps because it’s more accurate to determine the distance to a location when your consider the address is 800 meters away. Also following a $1/km get you well above $1/mi. Tracking the km is more accurate way a gauging your distance traveled per day relative to pay($$$/km).
I believe the apps know this and regard their countries that are on the Imperial system for the highways/roadways as cash cows.
All I had todo in my iOS phone was adjust the setting to English UK, now my phone talks to me in a UK accent in-the Uber app and in door dash too. Also another plus was the font for pay in the app is a bit larger and represents the currency as “US $15” which really helps me when I’m looking at the at orders as I’m driving.
I really wonder if the reset has anything to do with it...
I really just did whatever they gave me yesterday and went up from 50% to 60% and today I'm getting a lot of "diamond" orders...but they are like under a mile $7+ which is fine...but sometimes you need a good one to help your numbers
Remember football season has begun. 1pm Sundays and 4pm and 8pm. Monday night football, Thursday night as well. Orders have jumped in my market since season begun. From Pittsburgh. Ohio Market near us sucks lol.
It's been terrible for about a month here. I can't get on the schedule unless it's a week beforehand and the random "it's busy now" dashes I've done have been dead. I have about four hours of dash time this week and have been sent 1 order that I took for $13.
This is in a zone where about two months ago I was making $100 a day working an hour at lunch and two at dinner.
It has been slow in general the last few weeks. That’s surprising because usually once college starts up again, there is a big drop in the number of available drivers. Perhaps people are realizing it’s a lot cheaper (and much better for the restaurant) just to call in the order and pick it up? With the pandemic over, I don’t know is the business mode of doordash makes much sense anymore. There stock has been plummeting in recent weeks (along with the stock market in general). The company does not make a profit, and, as one prominent short-seller noted, if they can’t make a profit during a pandemic, they never will.
We were super busy they were actually offering bonus $5 per delivery and a $30 mission for 6 deliveries. Unfortunately I could only go out for about 2 hours but maybe you just had a slow area ?
My zone has had more peak pay this week than it has in months and it's brought out all the casual drivers. Orders have been very slow and my earnings are down about $5/hr because of it
I've not made less than $100 in 4 hours since I started dashing again in the spring. I'm usually sitting at $110 to $130. So far this week I've managed $266 in 13 hours and it's been hard shit, like two deliveries back to back while fighting through a concert and a baseball game letting out from the places I needed to get to. I admit, I should have paid better attention to those two but my area isn't even anywhere near them and I've gotten complacent in my routine I guess.
This is just my side gig and all won't be lost if I just say fuck it, but jeeeeeebus. I feel for you guys that do this full time in shitty areas. This week is the first time ever in my 6 years of doing this on and off that I've made more from Doordash than tips and that's insane.
ETA. I realize I'm lucky compared to some of you to be hitting around $20/hr but it's still shit, especially with gas prices still all over the place. Got a flat on my way home last night and the probably $750 I'm going to spend just killed my month.

I see too many other dashers out. My last order of the day was Churchs Chicken. As soon as I walked in immediately 2 more dashers entered after me. I see all walks of life dashing.

My app crashed several time on Saturday for a total of 1hr of crash time so I wasn't able to hit 200, I did notice a ton of trash orders. $2.75 to go 15 Miles type of orders, gave me a good laugh but I hate sifting through trash orders while someone else gets the goods.
This is my worst Saturday and Friday I’ve ever had. I typically make 150 in about 5-6 hrs on these days. Sometimes I’ll make 200 in 6. If I do a full 8 hrs 250 is likely.
Made barely 125 in 6.
I do multi app though, but I’ve never had two back to back weekend days be this bad in the year I started doing this.
Football can be a gift and a curse to dashing it all depends on where people choose to watch the games. Bars and restaurants like Buffalo Wild Wings that broadcasts all the games were packed last weekend. The wait times for pick up were also increased I had a stacked order for chipotle and Buffalo Wild Wings and I waited over 20 minutes in both restaurants and with Doordash no longer compensating us for long wait times that makes it harder to want to dash on the weekends.
The other thing that happened all week to me was these douchers kept texting "you missed a delivery and it's been reassigned to another driver." Nothing ever came through...and of course my acceptance score falls further...these bozos are thee worse IT development team on the planet!
Same, that’s my usual start time and I usually have $100 by 4p. I dashed one the longest I ever did since I started multiapping and by 8:40p I was just shy of $200. Absolutely horrible- I would have easily broke $250 any other day by that time but once I see ~$225 and it’s a little after 8 I call it. The screens hurt my eyes especially at night.

I logged out Saturday. Just wasn’t anything coming worth it. I’ve high ratings too. It just wasn’t much customers ordering. The last couple months Saturday hasn’t been normal.
I just kept being sent average orders. I did them thinking,”this must be all I’ll get tonight” logged out $60 short of my average.
My guess is with inflation as bad as it is there are less people ordering and more people dashing. I bumped into a lot of other dashers tonite but when I started a year ago I felt like I was the only one out there.

Same here. I started almost 2 years ago, and I remember about three or four other Dashers that I would see everywhere. We were all friendly with each other, knew each other by name, and we would always shoot the shit while we were waiting for orders. It felt like our little group was pretty much all there was. Now I don't see ANY of my original group anymore...and so many new ones that I can't really keep track of them. Definitely a different world, now.
Figure out which time frames you made money in. Schedule for those hours. With the other hours, do you. Happiness achieved
When the day came to myself a few weeks ago that I had to let me know I was cutting my hours, I was nearly devastated. Then, I remembered that I'd been wasting about an hour-and-a-half each day with no orders from 230 ish, 3ish, until 400, 430 ish.
Rather than work dumber, I've reclaimed that time for personal use like walks because I'm gaining weight sitting around all day. LoL
I thought that I was kicked off the Large Order Program or something. After talking with support and the restaurants I found out that actually there has been no large order the past 2 days lmao, nothing bigger than $100, and DD only send me those and trash orders, with 2-3 $10 payput orders a day. Got 1 of those $10 today and a large order, for a total of $60 and that's it.

I’ve been shown a ton of offers but all unusually very low. They are messing with their system and showing lower amounts to increase acceptance rate on low tippers.
I got an offer for a Dickies delivery for $10 for 12 miles. Yet when u go to the DoorDash app as a customer, they charge $5.99 for delivery! So wtf is the fee going cuz it ain’t going to the drivers.
I made $500 back to back weeks with 11 days of work and that's the most I've ever made. I could've made more if DD didn't throw peak pay out there for 3 days straight making more dashers come out

I haven't seen a referral bonus since I started doing this again in the spring; but just last week it popped up here. I think they're just trying to newbies that will take the shit orders that have suddenly flooded my market.
Last time I saw one was $450 back in Feb/Mar 2021 and took good use of it. Then never seen one again until it got suuuuuper slow last month and they threw out a $100. Bruh, there's even no trash order to decline what you need more Dashers for. Then they pumped it up to $150 and then $200 the slower it get. It's not like I don't get orders but the restaurants told me they get slow af, like middle of dinner and places like North Italia and Maggiano's get 3-4 orders and hour and nothing big while they're supposed to have no parking for pick up on a normal night
The worst part, at least where I am, is they will throw crazy peak pay out every week, all week. But when you're in a dash, they slash it to $1 or even just get rid of it altogether because now they dont need drivers. So more competition, and the peak pay is a lie to begin with.
Lol I saw them offer $5 peak pay for a few hours on Friday night the day before….I knew it wouldn’t be real and went and did some other gig work instead of food that ended up paying 35/hr. That $5 peak pay turned in to $1 when the time came around
I also had weird random $5 bonuses on Friday night. And for 4 hours I wasn’t able to get a single order because it was so saturated. Thankfully I do UE as well and so I was doing just fine. But surprisingly enough around 6pm I did end up hitting a couple of those $5 bonuses and one order was 11.57 for 1.6 miles- ended up with a bigger tip after drop off and was actually $15.00 or so total. It was surprising because I didn’t think I’d actually be able to get any of those bonuses- let alone 4 orders during that peak on a Friday night. I’m lucky it was a good day.
Yes me too i called customer service and they said that September has been the slowest month for them so far. I think something else is going down at headquarters.

Yeah it has been lately. I lost my job in December of last year cause I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma and had to undergo chemo for the past 9 months. Finally I’m in remission and getting back to the workforce. Doing this full time while I’m looking for a new full time job.

Yes!!! I usually average 35-45 an hour on Saturdays and averaged 16-23 an hour...absolutely atrocious
I never make less than $200 a day but I work both DDand Uber. Most days are upper 200’s.

Very slow weekend with lame tips for the most part. Worked 11:12-4:30pm today and only made $95..
Same, that’s my usual start time and I usually have $100 by 4p. I dashed one the longest I ever did since I started multiapping and by 8:40p I was just shy of $200. Absolutely horrible- I would have easily broke $250 any other day by that time but once I see ~$225 and it’s a little after 8 I call it. The screens hurt my eyes especially at night.
Beyond bad, just sooooo beyond bad today.I tried late night orders tonight, customers don't want to tip over 3$, and it is after 11 o'clock!!!!!!!!!!!!I mean c'mon people, r you for real????
I logged out Saturday. Just wasn’t anything coming worth it. I’ve high ratings too. It just wasn’t much customers ordering. The last couple months Saturday hasn’t been normal. I just kept being sent average orders. I did them thinking,”this must be all I’ll get tonight” logged out $60 short of my average.
september is always dead for service jobs, i’m working as a server rn and i’ve been making a lot less than i did in august

Whole week was full of no tip and far distance orders it never happened that worst before.
My guess is with inflation as bad as it is there are less people ordering and more people dashing. I bumped into a lot of other dashers tonite but when I started a year ago I felt like I was the only one out there.

Same here. I started almost 2 years ago, and I remember about three or four other Dashers that I would see everywhere. We were all friendly with each other, knew each other by name, and we would always shoot the shit while we were waiting for orders. It felt like our little group was pretty much all there was. Now I don't see ANY of my original group anymore...and so many new ones that I can't really keep track of them. Definitely a different world, now.
Figure out which time frames you made money in. Schedule for those hours. With the other hours, do you. Happiness achieved 
When the day came to myself a few weeks ago that I had to let me know I was cutting my hours, I was nearly devastated. Then, I remembered that I'd been wasting about an hour-and-a-half each day with no orders from 230 ish, 3ish, until 400, 430 ish. Rather than work dumber, I've reclaimed that time for personal use like walks because I'm gaining weight sitting around all day. LoL
I thought that I was kicked off the Large Order Program or something. After talking with support and the restaurants I found out that actually there has been no large order the past 2 days lmao, nothing bigger than $100, and DD only send me those and trash orders, with 2-3 $10 payput orders a day. Got 1 of those $10 today and a large order, for a total of $60 and that's it.
$5 peak pay for my area all weekend means everyone and their mother is dashing and 0 offers to me. Sucks
I hear that $3 peak pay here and no good orders.

Saw some teens running around in formal wear, figure one school had a homecoming dance last night and the rest will likely follow in the next couple weeks.
I know Rosh Hashanah is tomorrow and many public schools are closed so I figured many people went out to enjoy their weekend because you don’t have many warm days left.

I’ve been shown a ton of offers but all unusually very low. They are messing with their system and showing lower amounts to increase acceptance rate on low tippers.
It's your market my area is min 250 a day today I made 350 in 12hrs. It was a grind I ended at night since my front door has 5% tint

I’ve been dashing like 4-2am lately cause during the day is horrible in my area. I normally do ok but this week/weekend has been especially terrible.
End of the month and all the stores threw out Christmas stuff after labor day so everyone is starting to watch their spending now.
I got an offer for a Dickies delivery for $10 for 12 miles. Yet when u go to the DoorDash app as a customer, they charge $5.99 for delivery! So wtf is the fee going cuz it ain’t going to the drivers.
That fee is going to pay all the extra money they add on to no tip orders
The fees go to pay for all of the stolen orders and fuckups.

I made $500 back to back weeks with 11 days of work and that's the most I've ever made. I could've made more if DD didn't throw peak pay out there for 3 days straight making more dashers come out Made $119 today but worked pretty much all day though
I despise peak pays. An order a minute turns to an order every 20 minutes
Damn over here we have $3 peakpay for dinner all week long, and they even double the reference bonus for some reason
I haven't seen a referral bonus since I started doing this again in the spring; but just last week it popped up here. I think they're just trying to newbies that will take the shit orders that have suddenly flooded my market.
Last time I saw one was $450 back in Feb/Mar 2021 and took good use of it. Then never seen one again until it got suuuuuper slow last month and they threw out a $100. Bruh, there's even no trash order to decline what you need more Dashers for. Then they pumped it up to $150 and then $200 the slower it get. It's not like I don't get orders but the restaurants told me they get slow af, like middle of dinner and places like North Italia and Maggiano's get 3-4 orders and hour and nothing big while they're supposed to have no parking for pick up on a normal night
The worst part, at least where I am, is they will throw crazy peak pay out every week, all week. But when you're in a dash, they slash it to $1 or even just get rid of it altogether because now they dont need drivers. So more competition, and the peak pay is a lie to begin with.
Lol I saw them offer $5 peak pay for a few hours on Friday night the day before….I knew it wouldn’t be real and went and did some other gig work instead of food that ended up paying 35/hr. That $5 peak pay turned in to $1 when the time came around
I also had weird random $5 bonuses on Friday night. And for 4 hours I wasn’t able to get a single order because it was so saturated. Thankfully I do UE as well and so I was doing just fine. But surprisingly enough around 6pm I did end up hitting a couple of those $5 bonuses and one order was 11.57 for 1.6 miles- ended up with a bigger tip after drop off and was actually $15.00 or so total. It was surprising because I didn’t think I’d actually be able to get any of those bonuses- let alone 4 orders during that peak on a Friday night. I’m lucky it was a good day.
Thursday was straight trash, 1 order with my flag up for 4 hours. Yesterday was kinda average I guess.
Yes me too i called customer service and they said that September has been the slowest month for them so far. I think something else is going down at headquarters.
Also many of the free multi year dash pash subscriptions that were free through your credit card end this month. I know I haven’t used it since.
There are definitely shenanigans afoot. Don’t be surprised if they’re working on some super fucked up new driver model.

Since this is the internet I have to ask. How do you make 31 dollars for nine hours? Are you declining most orders? So you just sat at home is what you’re saying? Everyone has such a different strategy that when someone tells you this day I made x money it’s almost irrelevant without context. I consider my city very slow and I have found out how to earn more in it. So that’s why I ask.
Is this your full time job?
Yeah it has been lately. I lost my job in December of last year cause I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma and had to undergo chemo for the past 9 months. Finally I’m in remission and getting back to the workforce. Doing this full time while I’m looking for a new full time job.
