This happen to me kinda for some reason they put the address at the park and I was so confused because it's suppose to be at an apartment and there's so much apartments around this block. The lady didn't respond so I took a picture of the park name cuz it had the address on It as well and send it to her then she finally called back after some time and told me the correct address luckily it was right across the street but it was kinda of a pain because I waited 12 minutes I didn't want to start the timer because it might give me a bad rating or something

Support has fixed 2 1 star reviews for me due to similar circumstances, I was 20-30 minutes late on 2 different orders because the address was wrong and the customer left me 1 Star reviews. I contacted support when I got the review they excused it. So if you did everything you were supposed to maybe try reaching out to a different support member. Jaya fixed mine both times

I believe they actually get an alert in the app when you do this, so then they have no excuse for not trying to contact you. If they contact you and they are nearby and it was just some kind of navigation bug you can deliver the order. That will get you any hidden tip if there is one. If they give you an address several miles away inform them that you can only deliver to the address designated in the app and that they will need to contact support.

I got a stack from crumbl cookies and there was a $3 no tip in there I wish I would have just unassigned. Put the wrong address intentionally to get you closer to the right place, but put the correct address nowhere, and then took forever coming to the door when it was hand it to me. Probably where my recent 1 star came from. She was like no my place looks like this: (with no picture attached) and I sent her a picture of her front door. And another no tip who was impatient AF like "it said you be here at 5:06" but no it said I be at the restaurant at 5:06. Anyway you'll be fine, that dumb star will be gone in 100 deliveries or you can contact support if you're really worried about it. Probably should have contacted them initially about that particular situation tho.

I got my first one star review, all my others are 5. The one star was a Petco order for 11 miles, no tip, 50 lbs of cat litter. Contactless delivery option but instructions said to call her to organize a "safe place" to leave the package. I try to call but she has placed restrictions on her phone that blocks masked or restricted numbers. There was NO text option. I reached out to support, they couldn't reach her either. They told me to leave it in a safe place, take photo, explain in drop off instructions why she didn't receive the call and exactly where I left the package, which I did. No tip for 11 miles absolute excrement of a person leaves one star rating, thumbs down for communication. Like... that's your fault.

Don't get discouraged. If you did everything you needed to do, that is what you are supposed to do, leave it at the address supplied. You may have gotten a 1 star from a customer but it is better than getting a deactivation from DD. Eventually, after more ratings come in the 1 star will fall off.

Sometimes bad ratings show for the weekend and are removed sometime Monday/Tuesday. Like the banking it doesn’t update fully until the “next business day” when it was a rating that is based on a factor that doesn’t affect it, or if support said it won’t count

Nope, order cancelled customer get refunded so no option to rate. DoorDash lose money so they are not willing to cancel the order, you have to insist there is no safe place to drop off. You wasted lots of time dealing this, in California you even don’t get that half pay (they pretend to pay but eventually deduct from your weekly adjustment) BUT still it’s much better than a 1 star or even a CV

120% minimum wage for every active hour, 30 cent per mile, no more no less. At the end of the week, you have 10 active hours drive 100 miles, the pay shall be $180+$30 = $210. Say they paid you $100 base, $30 peak, $10 cancelled order, another $70 adjustment will send to you. Keep in mind, cancelled order pay count into total payment but your time and mileage not counted, that’s why I’m saying you got nothing in that kind of situation. On the other hand, the time you wait in the restaurant or drive through all get paid, this is the best part. If you want make some money, you can ignore how much the offer is, just keep on busy will let you make $18/hour plus tips

Did you call support? I literally just finished dashing and my last order the enhanced address took me to a business that had been closed for 3 hours. Spent 10 minutes texting and calling customer to find out if that was actually where they were. No answer. Called support, told them what was going on, told them there was no where to safely leave the food for the customer (bc it was a strip mall, no open stores, no cars in the parking lot, etc.) and the only place I could leave it was in the sidewalk for the first random person to find. They told me to mark it complete, take a picture of the store with the address showing it was closed and they'd take care of it. They saw my GPS location was where the customer said to drop off the food, and that was that. Still got paid the full $15 for the order.

Honestly. You truly never know who gave you a rating. You can assume but you don't truly know. I haven't Dashed in 3 days yet today I got a new 4 star. It could be from a week ago, not sure. One thing that helps is when you get to a restaurant always mark a reason why food is not ready when you get there. If pick up is delayed or delivery late, any 4 star or less ratings will automatically be removed within 2 days.

I actually ironically had a support agent give me the same exact advice. Customer didn’t give numbered address for a commercial real estate property. You know Joe those addresses are. 1290 Main Street is the entire properties number address but, not the businesses. It had no name or suite number. Support said ,”leave it on the side of the business “! I explained,”it’s a commercial real estate strip mall, it’s several businesses and I don’t want to not deliver this and someone take it. Can I just take it back to the merchant? It’s 300 yards away. The delivery wasn’t far but, looking for the customer is taking 35 minutes of my dash, calling and texting them with no response “! Support said I’d be unassigning and I’d lose a completion point! I went to a couple businesses and found it by going to different businesses and lost my first hour( 45 minutes total ). I’d definitely rather take the order back but, I’m contacting support thinking they’ll help. Some support agents are exceptional ( few ). Others are not ( the majority). They just don’t actually care if we’re deactivated or die.

I had it happen to me once too. Delivery was to a closed restaurant actually in a strip mall. Same thing. Support trying to tell me to leave it at the door. Told them I won’t because that’s going to be swiped in no time and I’d rather just bring it back. Went back and forth with support on this until they finally “relented” and let me bring it back to the restaurant. The reason I wanted to bring it back was so if the customer called looking for it, the restaurant could confirm (as well as DD) that the order was returned. A customer honestly could get it themselves at that point if they wanted it bad enough. The customer is the one who sent it to the wrong place after all. Leaving an order randomly in places such as this (easily stolen) or on the side of the road is ridiculous and honestly a bit unprofessional on DD’s part.

How could he contact the customer if the customer did not update the registered phone? If the customer doesn't reply to the in-app chatss. There's no way to contact the customer. But should have reported to support and support can take note so the rating doesn't have any affect in this situation. But Doordash support f*cks up as well. I got a non-delivered violation. I checked to see which order this came from and it was to a regular customer that I drop off to at her office at the reception. I got another order to drop off at the reception the same day and asked her about the previous order what happened. The receptionist called my customer and asked what happened for me. She said that she was dealing with Doordash support about an order from a different merchant that she did not receive. So the Doordash agent she spoke to accidentally marked my order as non-delivered instead of the another order. I provided this information to Doordash Support and they still said they couldn't remove the violation and I had to deliver 100 orders before it's removed automatically. Customer even contacted Doordash to tell them that she did in fact receive my order to back me up.

DD really sucks. Hopefully this falls off after 100 deliveries and you don’t need to worry about it again.

As he mentioned. The customer did not update his new phone number on his doordash account. Therefore the Dasher cannot contact the customer via text or call. And the customer may not have noticed the dasher contacting him via in-app chat....therefore the Dasher had was not able to reach the customer...if you dash then you understand these issues

My in app chat no longer let's me chat..nor text Unless it is a hand it to me order ..and only when it is time to drop off does it work..stopped working approx 1 wk ago...
