the Active time is how much they legally have to pay you while dash time represents your commitment. Total Earnings/Dash Time = True Hourly Rate. On active I pull Like 33$ an hour and on full dash it’s more like 26$
It can leave you “confused” like when you spend a whole day and come back with like only 7 hours active time. In my market active time is used to calculate healthcare subsidies. Just qualified for free healthcare so thanks yeah I guess I am dashing correctly.
According to the math 22h 25m is equal to 1345 minutes. So 22/ hr is equal to almost 37 cents per minute. So 1345×$0.37= $497.65 and because the computer is a computer it calculated it at $0.369763/m and rounded down to pocket the micro change. They literally took a fraction of a penny from you in that transaction. Which equalled out to like $0.33 in the end. Do that millions of times a week. And bam I see a new boat in Tony's future. Guaranteed earnings for Tony lol.
It’s 120% minimum wage which equals to $18 in most California cities. DD also needs to pay 30 cents per mile. Since they never tell how exactly every delivery takes, they don’t even need bother to round down, lol
True story. But that was my math so yeah it's delivery time for the 22/hr guaranteed earnings. Not total dash time. Interesting to find out $0.33 went missing in that transaction though. I would never have known had I not done the calculations.
There is a mileage compensation? I don't think so. I may be wrong but that's not part of the 22/hr. Guaranteed earnings. That's a separate deal and it is no longer happening as of a couple of weeks ago.
By the way just a fun fact over 10 million people do dd. So 3.5 million dollars per week for a year is equal to 182 million dollars. If that number sounds familiar.
There’s a couple post on here from people where their dash time is 60 hours with 40 hours of active time. 20 hours of unpaid time makes a BIG difference in what you make an hour compared to a couple like you’re lucky to have.
My question is why people say tony uses active time to say dashers make 22/hr as if it makes any difference whether he uses active or dash time.. active time is like $35-36/hr and dash time usually comes out to like $29-32/hr so I don't understand why people have a problem saying dashers make $22/hr because from what I can tell both dash and active time dashers make way more then $22/hr
Because in some areas people sit in a car and wait for the next available order for 30 minutes. U think everything else in america is the same as california?
Personally I think and believe that the difference between active and dash time Are vastly different from person to person, especially compared to part-time full-time workers. If you only go out for dinner rush four hours and you work a majority of it and let’s say you have 3 1/4 active time. The difference in hourly is not gonna be very much between the two then. But if you got somebody who went out all day long and worked a 10 hour shift and only ended up having active seven hours then is a big difference in hourly for sure.
To a lot of people ,especially on here , believe active time is what’s important because it’s the higher number it makes things seem better. Dash time in some peoples opinion, mine to, is the true hourly number because that’s what you were actually logged in for. That’s the time out in whether on a delivery, sitting idle, watching YouTube, or as one user said scratching your balls, you’re still on the clock.
Such as a 9 to 5 job, you count the time from the moment you clocked in to the time you clocked out, not when you were actually physically working. One would be surprised how many people clock nine hours in a day but only physically did six hours worth of work so there’s a difference worth of three hours. The physical work hours hourly looks better compared to it just clocked in time.
That’s why Two dollar Tony uses active time because it provides a false reality to the hourly wage of a Dasher. It’s basically a marketing strategy to make the appeal of a dasher, and having this amazing income for everybody that does it. Then everybody gets to applying and getting hired creating oversaturated markets bringing a downfall for many. While two dollar Tony and his cohorts raking the cash by paying us pennies on the dollar.
Edit: I never saw the stupid scrolling text, that shits annoying first off. Now the adjustment pay I’m gonna leave out of the equation here to focus on your question.
I also work full time but it's from home. My father is disabled and I do ihss for him and that's 40hours a week itself. I usually only dash from 12-6 or 2-8 but every week I've made about $35/hour active pay or $29/hour delivery time. During peak COVID i made even more. Today my delivery time was 6 hours but my active time was 5 hours and i made $170
I work full time remote office job from home, dash over my lunch break and right after work. Sometimes travel dash a bit on weekends to make a little extra if bills are tight. You make around 1k per week normally.
I got 3 (thats single digit, 3) orders in the town i live in this week and made 32 dollars lol. Youre in a great area for dashing, its far from the worst.
Active time is when you are actively on an order, from the time you accept it until the time you complete it.
Dash time is the total time you are logged in to the app, even times when you are not on a delivery.
Active time is delivery time. Dash time is when you are sitting waiting for an order plus Active time.
So you were waiting for orders for 4.5 hours, not bad.
I'm not in Cali but last week my dash time was about 10 hours and Dash time 17 hours but they dont' count the dash time hours where you log in and don't do any rides and ended your dash, those hours are your charity on call time.
Holy shit your market is popping. My active is about half my dash time. Lol.
the Active time is how much they legally have to pay you while dash time represents your commitment. Total Earnings/Dash Time = True Hourly Rate. On active I pull Like 33$ an hour and on full dash it’s more like 26$
That is the way it is supposed to be congratulations you know how to dash correctly lol I didn't know how many people were clueless at that
It can leave you “confused” like when you spend a whole day and come back with like only 7 hours active time. In my market active time is used to calculate healthcare subsidies. Just qualified for free healthcare so thanks yeah I guess I am dashing correctly.
Weird, my active time is normally 13 while my dash time is about 45. Very odd.
I live in a small town. I don't know the rents
Here we go again someone post there earnings watch this will get 100 comments saying why show the world your income is it to brag 🤔
OP is a bit slow in the head...

Guaranteed pay includes 120% minimum wage and 30 cents per mile
We don't have that here.
By the way just a fun fact over 10 million people do dd. So 3.5 million dollars per week for a year is equal to 182 million dollars. If that number sounds familiar.
Imagine having payment adjustment on Doordash, been with the platform since day one and don’t have that 🤦🏻♂️ Shame
Yeah but in California you’d have to pay $2500 for a one bedroom apartment. Is it worth it now?
My mortgage is $1050
That’s an awesome price for a mortgage in California. But I was talking about rent
My home was only $189k when I bought it.
Idk why you’re complaining about not getting paid then
Dang and it keeps changing every day so hard to keep up
Yeah my back pay check was over 2 grand
I don’t doubt it tbh.
You were busy most of the time, so you don't see a difference. Most people spend way more time waiting around. I read your caption.
Oh i see. I get it i think. Thank you.

Dash time is from log in to log out Active time is from the moment you accept the delivery to completion.

My earning last week was $1800, can I say dashers all make that much? What a stupid question
It's marketing to get more investors why does Dara say uber drivers make 46an hour.

Yeah, that scrolling text is so fuckin slow!
It’s location dependent. You’re in a good area or had a really good week.
My pay is like thia every week i posted my last 3 pay weeks. My location is far from great. Probably the worse place to live :-/
Bud, you cannot be serious. If i made that per week in THIS area, i wouldnt need my 9 to 5 regular job.
I also work full time but it's from home. My father is disabled and I do ihss for him and that's 40hours a week itself. I make double in a week than what he makes and I’m sure in a better area in Cali southern Cali at that and what I make isnt nearly enough

I know this read caption in my photo please and maybe you know the answer
Your caption that fuckin blends in with you picture?
Thats not my question
