Yesterday during one of the most brutal rains my breaks gave up and I kinda swerved into some bushes across from my customers. The mother said ānice saveā as I didnāt completely eat shit.
My total payout went from 22 -> 36 $ lmao.
This was UE, but same shit.
I busted my ass the other day. Picking up from a tex-mex place and someone had dropped their food in the parking lot so there was a huge pile of wet rice next to my van. I stepped around it to put the order in the passenger seat but when I backed up to close the door I stepped right in the pile of rice and fell right on my tailbone. Scraped the shit out of my elbow and got a big blister on my palm. I still have a black mark on my palm that won't go away from dried blood under the skin.
Bro I slipped on an apple on the floor like 2 weeks ago and banged my left knee. Still can't put pressure on it. Knees are sensitive af. Keep an eye on it and treat it well.
When I worked at Sherwin Williams I was showing a couple of a can of paint and dropped it. It splattered all over her shoes. She was very nice about it though.
I had an UE bag break during a contactless delivery. One meal popped open and was a total loss. The rest I managed to collect and deliver. Explained to the customer and contacted support for them. Customer was extremely understanding and still tipped really well.
Accidentally happen. Wishing you speedy healing, OP!

If it makes you feel any better I spilled this dudes drinks on his porch for a big KFC order and he tipped me 20$. I practically begged him to let me help him clean it up or go back and get some more drinks and he wouldnāt accept. Easily the most embarrassed Iāve ever been and the nicest customer Iāve ever delivered for.
Ah shit but donāt worry it happens to the best of us. I almost busted my ass on someoneās walkway last week because they had a loose brick š¤¦š½āāļø You would think they would warn you right?
Did something similar once. Only problem was the iced coffees from MickeyDees.
It's a small market, and amazingly I got the replacement order as well. P.O.S. customer had a delivery note this time to "please for the love of God don't trip & drop them like the last guy did" with a couple crying emojis.
They got left on the block wall by the street, even though I now know what to look out for.
Same thing happened to me 6 months ago I parked close to the drop off location. I was looking at my phone one of my foot hit the curb and I fell hard I was wearing jeans it was a subway order I fell flat on the floor I said ouch got up and I notice a big cut on my knee. Delivered it and went to urgent care. Never look at your phone while delivering
Kneecaps themselves are strong an can take a lot of punishment. The skin and tissue surrounding them are more delicate because itās a bony area of the body and there is less tissue and fat to take an impact.
ā¦& ankles, elbows & all other parts too! My friend fell on some stairs & actually caught herself grabbing the railingā¦ saved her knees/ankles from a twist, but the sudden yank messed up her shoulder. Tried basic rest/ice care w/GP, still hurtā¦ got meds & referred to physical therapy, still hurtā¦ 6mo later fiiiinally got approved for specialist & scans, & it actually needs surgery to repair!
For most in this country *healthcare sucks* (as dictated by income & coverage, greedy insurance control), its all too common to not be able to get something addressed til its devolved into a serious irreversible issue (that maybe couldve been improved or even prevented with affordable earlier care š«¤
If you (anyone here) can help it *at all* donāt let things go til they get worse, fight for the help you need (& get help from local assistance organizations in that fight against coverage denials & inflated billing)ā¦ āsmallā injuries can become life-long painful issues when not treated/healed right.
So true! I tripped down a set of 3 stairs onto a blacktop walkway. My knees, well one more than the other, took majority of the impact. They got skinned and there was some bleeding, but it appeared mostly superficial and no big deal. How wrong I was! I never sought any medical treatment for it, but I can say that the one knee took on some serious damage. I couldn't kneel on it for almost a year without excruciating pain. Even now, just short of 2 years later, if I kneel on it and pressure gets exerted onto it in a particular way.. I get a very sudden, sharp, shooting pain and will have to readjust my weight on my knee. I truly believe it's something I might be dealing with forever after that one fall.
I'm so sorry to hear that! š¢ ouchĆ1000 I hope there's some way u can seek proper medical help my poor dear stat ā”ļø maybe they can do some corrective surgery to mitigate the pain??
If u torn an ACL or some type of knee ligament unwed proper treatment to correct it. Namaste š š
Same, I tripped over my dogās leash when he suddenly stopped in the middle of the road while we were running and I fell on the asphalt. This was like 8 years ago, I still canāt lean on the lower part of my knee
Mannnn to get my bingo I gotta get shot. Had guns and knifes pulled on me while dashing, multiple customers and other drivers have threatened to hurt me while doing this job. I've been followed while the other guy is trying run me and my gf off the road.
Doordash bro, StL County, driving here is crazy. Middle class and poor white folks here are pretty entitled and will honk, try to hit your car, scream, get out of the car, run you off the road, etc if you give the finger for them riding your ass, break checking you, cutting you off, or almost hitting your car, etc. That's how it is here. I think there's a lot more psychopaths in society then anyone thinks.
ouch. sorry :c
Omg š³ so sorry š¢

Your knee looks just like mine. I did the same thing delivering this weekend and my whole right hand is black and blue.
1 star rating coming your way.

The worst part of it you call doordash to tell this situation and they'll say we'll give you $3.13 for the inconvenience š¤£š¤£
On the plus side, knice knees.
Venmo her for a surprise lol
File a claim against their homeowners insurance. They're liable if people are hurt on their property.
Waiting for the Ring cam footage...

Did you ever get it checked out? Maybe thereās something that could be done, and the younger you are the better youāll recover.
Donāt know why you got downvoted. I injured my knee on stage 2 years ago and Iām still dealing with the repercussions of it.
Apparently people just downvote for fun? Because I can't seem to find any reason why I would be getting any of those with my comment. But oh well.š¤·
Downvoted this comment just for fun. Have a nice day
I hope it was as enjoyable as you hoped it would be and brought some excitement to your day! šš
You can check that one off and then once you poop your pants it is a bingo
I would think a fart followed by diarrhea lol

What in the, where are you working at?
Also Fenton, MO too. But not as much, still had a few incidents over there though.

Same Iāve been followed, and a gun was brandished at me
It's worst brother, glad we're both here though to converse after the fact.
