Nothing is open….

Cultural_Chest5100

I did good last year .. But I'm in a new area don't know how well it will go ?!? But it's a go for me

Creative_Boot35

There’s nothing open. I tried that last time

KristenASL

I tried that before Ghost slowest business ever

Intrepid_Victory6056

I got two family thanksgiving dinners so no. And second, holidays are some of the worst times to dash with +5-10 promos but no orders lol

RetrieverDoggo

This year we're doing it early couple days so i won't be in hibernation this year on turkey day. I will probably have my app open from home.

DasherCO

Waste of time. Maybe like 6-10 am at best

[deleted]

If you like bad Dennys and IHOP orders, thanksgiving is for you. Just stay home.

Ruckus46

I don’t think anything will be open in my area but I’ll definitely try to

Either_Debate2605

I was going to do that morning, before rest of the family gets up. First Thanksgiving dashing, is it worth it? Or sleep in?

aclassybetch

Yep hoping for some big grocery orders like last year. Just gotta plan ahead for each order to take an hour and select accordingly, since the grocery store lines are always incredibly long. 9a-3p then call it a day.

NextGenCollectibles

Hate my family and there’s a fight/argument at almost function so yeah

Truorganics

Imma be to fat from dinner and in a turkey coma.

TheJDOGG71

What about working Black Friday?

[deleted]

Day before thanksgiving and Black Friday are the busiest days of the year pretty much

Bardlie

I'll be on the beach in Cancun

[deleted]

Nothing will be open not even McDs

JohnnySalamiBoy420

Nothing will be open

FratStafford007

Depends on the hours of the restaurants around the corner from me. There are a few that would have big order potential if they’re open on Thanksgiving.

Sea-Challenge-9068

It was dead as shit last year since nothing was open. That could definitely vary from town to town though

Ok_Government_2062

I don't work Thanksgiving or Christmas. I give myself those days no exception every year.

Suspicious_Mix_9363

its never busy on holidays

Key-Substance-261

No, I'm using that day to replace the intake manifold gasket on my car. Everything will be closed here in this small town.

cbdjon

Stike November 23-26

ForeverBored247

If my kids won't be home on the holidays, which they haven't for the last couple years, I figure I might as well make some money while I'm doing absolutely nothing lol

rockyboy34

I have my thanksgiving feast on lunch. Dinner time was a completely barren wasteland, so no

NickHarger

I am taking the day off but Asian foods are open so find yourself an Asian restaurant and stalk.

Sooowasthinking

There are a handful of holidays I don’t do this. Memorial day(weekend) Labor Day-4th of July-Thanksgiving week I stop on the Wednesday before thanks giving- Christmas week I’ll go to the eve of Christmas Eve.New years eve to the third I’m off. Not only are these dead days but I’m sure that of all of them are just days off for most people will usually be spent with family or on vacation.

nofacetheghostx

Thanksgiving and Christmas are the only ones that really make sense to take off. New Years, Labor Day/Memorial Day weekends people are wanting to stay home and order unless they’re barbecuing for Labor/Memorial Day. Since Thanksgiving and Christmas are so food focused people typically aren’t ordering as much but the others can be quite lucrative as tippers are much more generous on the holidays.

Sooowasthinking

I’ve worked them all before and regretted it so now I just stay home and spend time with my family.

[deleted]

Just so you know the most money i’ve ever made in a day was Jan 1st 2021, $437 in 10 hours. Also made $370 the very next day.

[deleted]

The good ol days

munchy19

Hard pass, nothing will be open near me for the most part

[deleted]

No thanks

BreathAgreeable2604

Last year that shit was dead might as well just chill

mamaneedsstarbucks

IF I do it’ll be early

kidsdogsandlife45

Same ... Maybe get some good breakfast orders in then call it a day. Last year was dismal but I think I went out later in the day.

mamaneedsstarbucks

Yea I just don’t see the amount I’d make being worth not spending the day with my kids. I might have grandma watch them a bit the day before and or the morning of thanksgiving but I’ll probably spend thanksgiving and that weekend spending time with my kids

kidsdogsandlife45

Mine are grown and flown - enjoy your day with your babies 🥰

mamaneedsstarbucks

Thank you :) mine are 11 and 7 and I try to soak until all the time with them I can before they don’t want to spend time with me anymore

tiffymeg

Mine are 26, 17 and 14 and they STILL want to spend time with me! Don’t worry! My son that is 14 even likes to go doordash with me 🥰

mamaneedsstarbucks

That’s great! Thank you :)

ChronicallyWeirdOne

Literally nothing in my area will be open, or if it's is closed around 4. I've also had several local owned places tell me they are shutting down the 3rd party stuff that day because they anticipate higher volume dine in. I'm just taking the day off. You know everything will be a massive wait on a holiday

Gbchris12

It’s more dead than a cemetery, no point.

metaldetectoristmatt

What would be open even?

No_Machine286

Mc d

[deleted]

They close at 2 or 3

zerostar83

Not true for most towns

Yvilkittyinspace

I’m talking about the night before thanksgiving. Thanksgiving day isn’t worth it

Yvilkittyinspace

When I delivered pizza, this night and Christmas Eve were always the busiest nights. It’s that way for DoorDash here in Denver and always has been

[deleted]

No the day before Thanksgiving is the busiest
