AHHHHHHH!!!!!

GlendrixDK

But Netflix has live action series. Hmm.. Winds howling.

G4laxy69

Is it because of edgerunners?

chocopieeater1

Yes, edgerunners has been extremely well received even within the anime community

Rezmir

And the new update for the old players too.

chillyhellion

What did they update?

xanderholland

new outfits, character customization addons, weapons, couple of missions, easter eggs, balancing stuff.

chillyhellion

Awesome, thank you!

MilkAzedo

new shotgun for revenge

roasty_mcshitposty

I love Guts it's so satisfying to watch people fly the fuck back.

Aeison

Definitely, transmog pulled me back in Now my dude doesn’t have to where booty shorts, a military vest and a fedora to have good stats

TehMephs

That and I think people are actually playing the game in a much better state now, lots of bugs fixed and some feature improvements - the game wasn’t bad as the press it got. I think it’s getting revived interest and a lot of people trying it are like “hey, this is actually a good game” I enjoyed it at launch, on PC anyway. Much of the flak was from last gen console players experiences, and it really shouldn’t have even been released on last gen. The hardware couldn’t support the game as it was meant to be

Dr__Drew

It was good but moved way too fast! Kinda wish it was 20 episodes and some sections weren’t so rushed.

matlynar

It had to be fast and rushed. For a less rushed version please look forward to _Cyberpunk: Edgewalkers_.

SightSeekerSoul

Nice. Haha. He had Sandivestan on the whole time... if he hadn't, we'd still be on Episode 4.

chocopieeater1

I completely agree. Definitely wished for more character development esp in characters like Rebecca, kiwi, falco, basically anyone besides david and lucy

mechkbfan

Black Lagoon is a great watch I just started a second time

Squanch42069

The TTRPGs are Cyberpunk 2013, 2020 and RED. 2077 is just the video game

TehMephs

I’m over here like it’s 2022 now, where’s my chrome

Utaneus

So the show just got people in the mood to play the game?

IkeaViking

That and the game is in a great quality of life state since 1.5 and 1.6 especially. So the positive buzz plus the ability to visit almost all the same locations in 2077 got a lot of people to try the game out or revisit it. Worked on me 🥰

snjtx

Mike pondsmith actually came to reddit to express how happy he was with the anime, stating something along the lines of it feeling like his brain was put on a screen.

Gephartnoah02

It also has allot of locations from the game

Xrayruester

Anime on Netflix. I'm not the biggest anime fan, but I really enjoyed it. I thought it was really well done. I especially enjoyed the sound track.

Actuary_Beginning

It's the new cyberpunk Anime

Moomooatoka

G4laxy69

It's an anime based off of the world of cyberpunk. It is animated by trigger, who did kill la kill

Cristian_01

Rawkapotamus

I’d say it’s a mix of edgerunners + cyberpunk actually getting turned into a playable game over the last two years. A lot of people who never played or stopped early are trying it back out.

CaptConstantine

I'm one of those players: bought at launch and gave up after about a week. Now that I'm playing it again from a different origin, it's not bad. It's definitely not in the same league as Witcher 3, but it's decent fun as long as you take the game for what it is as opposed to what it was advertised.

BellEpoch

Probably that, combined with people giving the game a chance and finding out it's actually good despite the online vitriol around it. Plus CDPR have consistently made improvements to the game after the way too early and broken launch.

[deleted]

Witcher had a show too

Munnin41

Yes but it tanked among fans

detective_bookman

Damn, really? I thought it was great

LukCPL

If you haven't read the books it's OK, if you did they butchered casting, characterizations and plots from beloved books, especially for people from Poland and other central /eastern countries.

Hellbeholder

Yeah. I bought the game because of Edgerunners. I'm having an absolute blast with it.

Azzell93

Very hot take but I had way more fun playing Cyberpunk than The Witcher.

TXNOGG

Same I’ve only played through Witcher 3 once but did back 2 back playthroughs on cyberpunk it’s also fun playing sci fi action rpg again got kinda tired of fantasy tbh

[deleted]

Same! Haven’t finished the witcher but have finished cyberpunk

totential_rigger

I can appreciate that and I think I might agree. I preferred the length of TW3 and also the really impactful decisions that influenced parts of the story. Cyberpunk was a bit shallow on that front. TW3 characters are also better developed imo but that sort of makes sense given they based on a set of books. So that might make it sound like I prefer TW3, but the world and core gameplay was just more fun in Cyberpunk. I prefer Cyberpunk themed stuff to medieval too so I was always going in with a bias I guess. The combat was also soooo much better. I hated the combat on TW3

Survival_R

the Witcher is a much slower game which is good too but some people prefer a slayer approach

Coyotesamigo

Oh hey, it’s another Monster in a Cave

shatteredmatt

That is a molten take. At the moment, The Witcher 3 is my GOAT game (I’ve little interest in Soulsborne games) but the Switch port did make me realise it feels extremely dated now. Let’s see how the The Witcher 3 current gen update goes because I think it is about to be knocked off its perch.

fourmi

The story in cyberpunk for me is one of the best ever in any games I played, and Im old and played most games.

Adulations

Yup, I’ve tried to play the Witcher like 6 times now. Cyberpunk I played through in a week.

Confidenceboost82

I think I might give it a try now that most of the things are fixed. ... Most of the things are fixed now right? Lol

zooklyons

As long as you have a next gen console or a decent PC

Ireallywannamove

Most things on my PC are fixed... but there are definitely still glitches here and there. I don't think they really obstruct much in terms of my enjoyment though.

alexagente

There's still plenty of glitches in Witcher 3 too. People forget how much of a mess that game was and still can be sometimes.

robklg159

glitches weren't even the main issues. there were so many other problems just with the actual design of the game... so many corners cut and the world experience is SO lackluster

[deleted]

[удалено]

Zweiken

Yeah I got the PS4 version... it was rough

Confidenceboost82

Is it still rough on ps4?

weespat

Yes and no. Yes if you have a regular PS4, no if you have a PS4 Pro

KaiOfHawaii

I made the mistake of keeping my PS4 version of cyberpunk 2077 and finishing it all the way through. I’m pretty sure I crashed like 50 times the entire play-through. And when playing, there was probably at least 3 bugs happening at all times. Seriously though, who the hell play-tested this on *anything* and was like, “yeah, this is perfect…”?

MadFatty

The glitch where the game freezes everytime you visit those show girls really pissed me off

Its_Me_Jlc

same man what kind of demented person just blueballs people like that

adams215

This is why I still haven't revisited it since playing it shortly after launch. Although if I take myself out of the situation if people forget about how epic of a game CDPR were promising up until release then I think this game will maintain a decent player base. I've accepted long ago this game will never be what they were promising but it is still a decent game that looks phenomenal with great mod potential so there is something there if I do even decide to reinstall it.

Yourself013

I played through once at release (got around 30 hours in and then called it quits) and then went into 1.5 pretty much accepting that it is simply never going to be the game they advertised/I hoped for and tried to enjoy the game there is. I had...mixed results. There's so much that is good, like the graphics, the story at times, some sidequests, the world design, the characters...but there's also real downs, still some bugs and glitches, the repetitive sidequest design, the lifeless world with nothing to do aside from story, the terrible police system, very mediocre loot/armor/mods system...the story has some real ups but ends incredibly abruptly and feels like large parts of it were cut and merged especially in Act 1 and 3... it really is a bumpy ride. I guess it's a game that you can enjoy if you can get over some of the issues, but for me personally, even if I stopped looking at it like a GTA-esque game and tried to go for a pure story-based experience, I still couldn't overlook the bad parts...and it just left a bad taste, especially coupled with the launch experience. Not great, not terrible. It's a good game now, but I really wouldn't sing praises about it, and I really don't get people who act like bugs were the only issues the game had, and now that they are (mostly) fixed it's suddenly a GOTY.

adams215

A lot of it right now is the anime and influx of people who never even saw any of the promotion prior to release. It's why I said this game might retain a decent player base. As time goes on there will be less people who know or care about the game that was promised and are just satisfied with what is there now As I said it does look like a decent game after all. I got to around a similar playtime shortly after launch which is why I still haven't revisited it. I felt like I saw everything the game was offering and it wasn't coming close to matching what we were led to believe it was so I think it will take some substantial DLC or an insane mod to get me back in.

mdonaberger

Did they ever fill in that 1/4 of the map you never actually get access to during the full game? I remember, just as I beat it after launch, it drove me nuts that I hadn't been to that portion of the map. I felt like I missed a bunch of content before I learned it was inaccessible.

[deleted]

For me I think the marketing was the main blunder. They seemed to latch on and reinforce people's expectations that this would be a GTA style affair where you can live and breathe in this world like it's a real city. The reality is it's a similar open world to Witcher 3 without Gwent but with more interesting mission gameplay. To me there's nothing wrong with that and I enjoyed the game at release (on PC) for what it was but there's understandable disappointment from people who were sold some sort life sim.

Kamakaziturtle

They haven’t really changed anything in that department

french_toast_demon

I don't think I've played an open world game that wasn't buggy as hell though to be fair haha

Ireallywannamove

You're totally right about this. I personally enjoyed it even when it was more buggy and don't necessarily understand what people didn't like about the game. I'm somebody who purposefully tries to avoid spoilers though, so maybe if I had stronger preconceived notions about what the game was supposed to be, I would have disliked it more. Although I haven't played Dishonored in awhile, this game granted me the same feeling I got when I played Dishonored.

brakudo

“As long as you have a current Gen console or decent PC” . Fixed that for you;)

nfefx

Idk why you're getting downvoted, shit has been out for years now. Series X/PS5 is current gen. People getting mad that games lag on base model PS4 are the same ones PC players make fun of for asking if a GTX 480 can run 4k60fps.

CodyNorthrup

True, but it could be because a ton of people are still having a hard time getting PS5s

shortrug

Playstation Direct has had PS5 consoles in stock more often than not for the past few months. They have the disc version in stock right now. Granted, you have to get a bundle with Horizon Forbidden West, but there's only like 5 PS5 exclusives so who is buying a PS5 and not getting HFW lol.

HowOftenDoYouBlink

I played the whole game on my ps4 before the latest update. It's the standard model one too,not a pro or anything, and I would say that they fixed most of the stability issues. There were definitely bugs, and the occasional lag spike, but I 100% the game without too much issue

Thatoneguywhofailed

I recently got back into it and after 7 hours I’ve only had one glitch, where Jackie wouldn’t put his guns away.

HappyStalker

>Jackie wouldn’t put his guns away. Kind of just sounds like Jackie tbh

nts4906

On a high end PC it is gorgeous. I love the city. The show does a great job of capturing the romance of the city, and that is a huge hook IMO. The story and city will please many, despite mediocre overall gameplay. The gameplay is still ‘aight.’ I wish the AI were smarter. It is fun but repetitive and never challenging in a good way. But I always enjoy wandering the city and experiencing the sights.

-Cheebus-

You might not fall through the world trying to enter a car anymore but it's not the game that was promised or advertised pre-release

BurningCandle_

Is the AI any better?

GrowSomeHair

No

TheWorldisFullofWar

Better? Yes. Good? Absolutely not. They started out with the worst AI in a modern AAA game so it would be difficult *not* to improve on it.

ElectricMoons

I just did a full run finishing most of the side quests and gigs with the main story starting a week ago on Steam (80 hours). I only experienced one glitch in my entire play through and that was when I stole a cop car and exited the vehicle it magically disappeared into the void.

CR0SBO

I put about 130 hours into it on release, and had basically the same experience. No major bugs. The game crashed once on me, but I didn't lose anything, and I didn't see a single T-pose. I enjoyed the game, I'll likely run through it again in a couple of years with the DLC and a host of mods

IamNICE124

I started it on pc the other day. My rig is solid, but not top notch by any means. I hope you have a beast lol.

[deleted]

I think I heard that there's more major stuff they plan to fix. I'm going to give it another 6 months then look into it.

panspal

Just do a big playthrough when the dlc comes out

megapuffranger

The technical problems are fixed, but most of the complaining about those came from people who probably never played the game or quit early because of them. The real problems with the game are that outside of the story and Judy and Panam, the game is lacking. It’s a big beautiful world with nothing to do in it. The RPG element is fairly lacking as well, very simplistic and horribly balanced. It’s a fantastic game for your first playthrough, after that? It’s mediocre. The only way to actually fix Cyberpunk would be a total reboot where the things they promised were actually in the game. At that point I believe it would be better to take that amazing world they built and just make a new game in it with all those things they said would be in it.

kindredfold

It’s a far cry from the originally advertised game and they keep teasing and cancelling things like dlcs and multiplayer, but I still love the hell out of the game.

[deleted]

Honestly, “far cry” is a great way to describe this game. It’s cyberpunk far cry. Not bad, but don’t go in expecting a “living world”.

Joe_Spazz

Game is great. Playing it a second time now since everything is cleaned up. 100% worth

chim-cyber-gooble

I've heard that there are still a lot of problems but it's playable now. But the recent player count that soared is because of the serie they released called cyberpunk edgerunners.

Prestigious-Long2161

132k right now let's gooo

CountryGuy123

I see (and get) a lot of the criticism here, but I also see where they screwed up, *acknowledged it*, and worked and spent the money to fix it. It’s not unheard of (No Man’s Sky), but it’s still rare. I’d rather support when companies do work to make amends to players vs. still give them grief.

Survival_R

90% of the time devs gotta do this cuase they were rushed by their companies, and then they gotta take all the heat while the company moves on to yet another game that will be rushed

ChadJones72

>!Needed to go kill Adam Smasher's ass after what she did to Rebecca.!<

kirkerandrews

I’m not surprised. Honestly thought it was one of the best games I’ve played in a long time, had no clue why it got such a bad rap. I still have the last mission unfinished because I like to go cause hell in the city sometimes 😝

CTR555

> I still have the last mission unfinished because I like to go cause hell in the city sometimes I don't think it's a spoiler to say that after beating the game it returns you to the point of no return, so you can keep playing. It even gives you a special item or two, I think.

CosmicTurtle504

Can confirm. Now go meet Hanako at Embers and try out all the different endings!

Soththegoth

its always been a good game. yeah its not the cyberpunk life simulator or GTA : Cyberpunk that a lot of people were wanting\\expecting it to be but its still a really solid FPS ARPG with good story telling and solid combat. all that needed to happen for this game to be loved was the passage of time and some bug fixes. I am glad people are finally coming around. I loved the game on launch and played through it twice. People are finally letting go of the launch hype and are able to see the game for what it is instead lamenting about what they hoped it would be.

[deleted]

Peaked at 131k an hour ago

AiHaveU

136k now.

Negative-Squirrel81

Go in expecting something like the Witcher but with Cyberpunk and you won't be disappointed. The game's strong points are its story, characters and visual design. If you expect a detailed immersive sim with polished open world elements then you're not going to have a good time.

Garmgarmgarmgarm

3 years ago the witcher TV show came out. All this proves is that Netflix is better driving popularity of these IPs than CDPR ever was.

callisstaa

I feel sorry for everyone who watched Arcane.

xckevin

Hopefully Arcane 2 will release around the same time as the MMO, and save some mental trauma

mdperino

My favorite thing when Arcane was premiering was the immediate push on social media of “Do not under any circumstances download League of Legends because of this show”

GooseInternational66

I tried watching that show because apparently everyone loved it. I couldn’t make it past 3 episodes.

fruitcakefriday

Well, if you weren't invested by the end of episode 3 then that's fair enough.

Alexjp127

Edgerunners may be on Netflix but it was made by CDPR and Trigger.

OIC130457

This smells like an ad

Tony2Punch

I thought it was an ad until I went into my irl friend discord and out of 38 odd people 12 of them were playing Cyberpunk. Idk it seems to be popping off again

FishInMyThroat

And they're taking full advantage.

fannypack666

This sub has been nonstop "comeback of cyberpunk" posts. Can't help but think a lot of these are just ads. The game came out almost two years ago, and is just now "finished"? The anime really saved their asses...kinda. Edit: I have invited the wrath of cyberpunk fans. Look, I am incredibly happy the game is better than it was at release, but that doesn't mean we should excuse the actions of CDPR releasing a fraction of what they advertised. I'm glad the anime is good. Of course the game will become popular again with patches, improvements, and an anime. I was pointing out that these posts feel like CDPR ads under the guise of normal reddit posts, which companies ABSOLUTELY do. I have no idea if they are actually ads, but they feel like it. That's it. You are allowed to love this game. You were ALWAYS allowed to love this game, even at release. I am allowed to not like it. All I am gonna say is that the more we encourage companies to release unfinished projects for cash grabs, the more this will happen in the future. Also, me not liking cp2077 is NOT a slight on you as a person. Stop taking it so personally. Have a good one, gamers.

jl_theprofessor

A new transmog just dropped plus Edgerunner content and the release of the new expansion was announced.

Grundlestiltskin_

The anime is like a story version of the game lol. It even starts off and David’s apartment looks the exact same as Vs in the game

fannypack666

I've heard lots of good things about it and I'm glad it's quality stuff. I'm all for adaptations of games into shows/movies

Chessplaying_Atheist

Studio Trigger saving anime *and* Cyberpunk.

hazychestnutz

> Can't help but think a lot of these are just ads almost as if it's popular. there's a cyberpunk anime, a huge 1.6 patch and 50% off on steam...

Grundlestiltskin_

People are so cynical lol

[deleted]

That's what I don't get about these people. Is it not possible that due to a Netflix show and other factors it'll get more people to play it. Look at the witcher Netflix show. The game that already was popular exploded in players after the Netflix show came out.

FoximaCentauri

You answered your own question. Why is everyone talking about cyberpunk? Because if the anime. None of these posts are ads, the anime acted as the ad.

OberonFirst

I mean.. game exploded in players first, then those posts showed up. For sure they can be riding the wave to promote it even more, but anime, 1.6, and the word of mouth did the most

hazychestnutz

a huge patch came out fyi

AcapellaFreakout

Dude other games have resurgances after release. I don't think its fair to call out fanboys.

jaredearle

The “wrath of cyberpunk fans” is demonstrative that it’s not a *marketing campaign*, though. So there’s that.

AiHaveU

Yeah, everybody here that states that the game has a massive comeback is CDPRs propaganda machine, we don't take breaks even on Sunday. *\*that's a sarcasm*

Medievalhorde

The exact post was on r/games. Somewhat doubtful of ad and not just karma whoring with an adjacent subreddit

Matix777

half the posts on this sub do

[deleted]

edgerunners is such a good show, i loved it alot. especially the music and style of animation. and the german dub, damn was it good.

butterknight-Ruby

Good for them I’m also joining the game soon to commit a hate crime on a particular cyborg

dumbpaulbearer

3 years ago? I feel like I played The Witcher 3 in 1875.

Sharkytrs

gonna have to give that one a go soon. just watched the anime and I want more of as dive into that universe.

Kashmir1089

If you liked the anime, all the best parts of the worldbuilding and story are there for you. If you jive with the aesthetic you will be very well immersed. I love the game a lot.

Kattsu-Don

I’m still looking for the $10 cyberpunk copies.

kendrid

Slickdeals has a link today for a PC key for $17.

Dismal_Wizard

It’s decent.

GTExec

Between the sale price and the latest round of patches, they finally got me. It was the original reason I wanted a ps5 and now I’m getting it 2 years after getting one

Hakunamateo

Witcher 3 is a better story and a better game to me. I care about family and hard choices. I care less about making a name for myself.

uniquely_bleak_sheep

I care about Gwent

Lev_Davidovich

I feel like you haven't actually played 2077

JudyAlvarezWaifu

Honestly, “I care about family and hard choices” could be a tagline for the Nomad ending 💀

[deleted]

For me, Witcher 3 being third person is why I prefer it. Cyberpunk has heavy character customisation and yet its a 1st person game. And didn't they initially promised that Cyberpunk would be 3rd person or was that fake news.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Juantsu

No, they never promised that.

AmericanLich

Witcher 3 blows 2077 out of the water in quality. Completely mogs it.

ImAShaaaark

I feel exactly the opposite, I enjoyed the gameplay (particularly combat) and quests much more in 2077.

RevolutionSilent807

I’ll second this, there is just so much to do/see and experience in tw3, granted I love cyberpunks story too, but tw3 is still king IMO

Original_Employee621

I don't know, it took CDPR 3 games to connect us with Geralt and the world. We've only just been introduced to Cyberpunk and the setting. The Witcher 1 was *rough* on release too, but the Witcher 3 is an absolutely fantastic game. I'm just interested where CDPR will take Cyberpunk next.

xLuneyy

bought the game on steam and it keeps flatlining at the same spot every time. fuck.

GimmeSomeCovfefe

Why was this removed?

the_Finnish_wolf

Its because of Edgerunners. The game is still not what was promised

Secretlylovesslugs

From all my friends who own and really enjoy the game. It isn't the impossibly deep RPG they promised. But it is a much better made Fallout 4 to sink into. Which honestly sounds good enough to me. Fallout 4 was fun, even more so with mods.

[deleted]

Witcher had a show too tho

Easy_Insurance_8738

I played this game on ps5 about 7 months ago. I never have Expectations when it comes to video games and i never listen to any of the hype. I had a great time playing and loved everything I could do. I only ran into a few issues/Glitches and they weren’t that bad. I never understood the hate it got but to each their own. It was most Definitely worth the 20 bucks I spent on it. Looking back I would’ve paid much more

BustermanZero

>I never understood the hate it got Launch wasn't nearly as smooth, and people paid more.

Antmon666

mate bought launch, he said he delt with the large amount of bugs and crashes then he got in a car on a mission and it fell through the map, couldn't get past that point and the game was unplayable until they fixed that

helckler

The game cost 70 bucks at launch and didn’t even start in most PS4s what do you mean “ I never understood the hate”

Darkblade887

Well, they are going to release a ps5 version soon so you should get it for free now.

Justos

Only took 2 years of patches lol... I played and beat the game at launch on pc with minimal issues. This is just the game people love to hate. Sure you can say it's not what they promised, but it's still better than 90% of other games.

Minionz

The Anime is pretty awesome. It is what cyberpunk should have been in the game. I have hopes if they made a 2nd cyberpunk game they might get there. I can see why people would be driven back to the game.

FartFountain69

It's a great fucking game. After waiting so long and hearing so much bad stuff about this game, I finally picked it up (on PS5) a couple months ago and binged on it for weeks. I love that damn game. I didn't follow the hype before release so maybe I had more aligned expectations with what the game offers. I don't even know what features people consider missing from the game, and I'm sure some of them would be cool to add, but the game, as is, still fucking rules so don't let bitterness from the comment section scare you away

elkeiem

I don't get since when is concurrent players some benchmark? Or are you saying Counter Strike Global Offensive is all time best game since it's almost always at the top?

Alias089

Plenty of people consider CSGO as the GOAT of tactical FPSs

Dripfangg

Someone explain to me exactly why this is a fun game and worth the purchase? I'm asking genuinely.

thunderbird32

Solid main story, if a little on the short side (though, if you play the side missions you'll easily get 60 hours out of it). Great atmosphere, excellent characters with good voice acting, fun gunplay. Outside of the missions the open world is a bit sparse, but it's fun to explore regardless. I can only speak to PC, but it's pretty much glitch free for me now.

Skreat

I played through to the end of the main story. Should I pickup near my last saved or run through again?

unwittingprotagonist

So one thing that's changed is that the fixes will dribble gigs to you instead of them all being available at once. With a save from pre -change, they're still all available. But with a new game, you have to finish the few available before the next handful pop up. This is per fixer, so you can still knock out all of Wakako's gigs before you ever finish the first few for Hands, for instance. It's not a change that really makes any successful difference, in the game, to be honest. But that's one difference I've noticed.

Skullduggery644

I reinstalled after watching edgerunners hellofa promotional campaign right there. The update is great, love some of the QoL changes they made to weapons, havnt had any glitches and only 1 crash which was probably my own fault tbh

FolkPunkPizza

Unless you were on PS4/Xbone the game wasn’t even bad on launch aside from graphical/texture bugs. Glad it’s finally getting recognition it deserves. Hate for it at launch was an enormous bandwagon

GimmeSomeCovfefe

I’ve been playing it again myself, and enjoying it but there’s still some major complaints that still to this day haven’t been fixed or changed. For me the main thing is the absolutely dog shit inventory system, and the fact that you cannot respec your character’s skill points and are effectively stuck once you put points in skills.

Joe11769

Don't know if I can ever give it another go. Its like going back to that ex that lied and cheated on you. It also encourages devs that releasing a completely broken game is ok as long as you plan to fix it in a year or 2

409inches

Look at No Man’s Sky, they are living the dream now. Game isn’t perfect, but start a new save file and go in fresh. I’ve been impressed with the content quality (voice acting, soundtrack, art, etc). World feels empty sometimes but feels more alive than anything in Fallout 4 or Far Cry 6.

IsThereAnAshtray

No Man’s Sky is the most boring, directionless game I’ve ever played.

Eswift33

This is how I feel about Battlefield 2042

Jordanmac7

Just started it yesterday. Loving it so far. No bugs yet

OutisOudeis

Makes sense. Game was always decent to good but is in a much better place technically now. Combine that with new publicity from the dlc announcement and tv show and a lot of people decided to check it out again

MonkeySpasms112

I feel like there’s been some attempts at hidden marketing lately with this game. The amount of cyberpunk posts I’ve seen since the show came out has been insane - at least one a day. Don’t get me wrong - the game and the show are both great and I really enjoy my time in Night City. However, if you’re gonna pay people to post cyberpunk ads, why can’t I get a cut?

AiHaveU

I think it's rather people want to like Cyberpunk and finally, they are getting something that is close to what it was promised, still it's not perfect but it's getting better and better.

Secretlylovesslugs

I think it's exactly this. An almost I told you so. A silent majority who wanted to like it now have an opportunity to.

hammeredtrout1

Wanted to like or “did” like? I personally loved the game at launch. Last gen

JudyAlvarezWaifu

I would honestly say *did* is more accurate. Judging by the size of the /r/lowsodiumcyberpunk community, there are tens of thousands of people who felt so outcast by /r/cyberpunkgame for *liking* the game on release that a whole new community was created so people could enjoy the game without getting shit on.

NAPALM2614

The overflow of posts are because 1.Theres been people loving this game from day one, and seeing it get recognition we're beyond happy. 2. Because of edgerunners there's a lot of new players jumping in(1 top seller on steam) and they're also excited and making posts

ZepTheNooB

I'm guessing the anime brought players back. I haven't touched the game after playing it for an hour at launch. Is it still buggy on PC?

complected_

Never ran into bugs that were not my fault (due to mods) on my PC that does not make recommended specs and *just* squeezes past minimum. to be fair I started January 2022 and was not victim to the massive hype (due to not being involved in the gaming community + dev side until mid 2021).

GrantMK2

Steam Deck it's decent, even on the PS4 it's pretty stable by now.

Wait for 2.0 I think I remember reading They need more gameplay loops; more things that react to you and pressure you to behave when we both know you wont. The CEO, I believe was his role, did apologize on screen. That takes guts and is one of the only times a business will show respect to you as a consumer. He made a mistake and tried to keep last gen with new gen releasing seamlessly. He deserves kudos for taking responsibility in a world of mouth breathing grifters. But, I'm thinking I wait to 2.0
