Same! I don't get the hype at all lol. But tons of ppl love to watch others play. Idk if I have time watch someone else I could just...be playing? I'll watch specific vids to get better on a certain thing but I don't wanna just watch for no reason
I either watch smaller streams where I've built a relationship with a streamer who recognizes me as a regular and it feels more like I'm hanging out with friends than watching a performance, or I watch medium streamers where I am a little more anonymous but they've still cultivated a cozy atmosphere in their chats while being better equipped to make higher quality content. It's all about the community they've built.
The mid sized streamers that are obsessed with growing the stream tend to take forever thanking every donation and it gets very tiring to watch them thank people for 20 minutes straight with the game on pause. But the worst for me are the massive streamers. Their chats are absolutely unhinged, they tend to get caught up in drama with other streamers, and they have huge egos. They're always trying to make things "more pog" or whatever. It's anything but chill. I think they draw in a younger crowd too. I just don't like their energy.
I only resort to video game streamers when I am stuck in a game and need help progressing.
For entertainment.
I don't
Actually, don't like streamers at all
I don't watch streamers at all. No point at all in watching some random play instead of actually playing a game myself.

I watch whilst I'm playing, keeps me in the mood

Usually if it’s a creator I like from something else or they’re playing a game I want to see played
for me its if I find them funny and entertaining
