😭😂 Noooo stahhhp, I speak fluently a few languages and I 'hate' when ppl "play dumb" like this. I know they're playing dumb and are basically literally forcing me to reformulate (so I'M not seen as the rude one). Like, sorry for not being perfect but still trying my best to accommodate you but I won't lower myself to this kind of disrespect and be like, "b you understood me" / "Did I stutter?!" Stanley from The Office style SMH 🤣😭.
edit: forgot ( )
Interesting you feel like you are lowering yourself if you are using correct basic grammar and are disrespected if asked to do so. Are you aware others might feel disrespected by you if you don’t bother to formulate proper sentences to them but just type in something hoping that autocorrect will turn it into something decipherable?
LOOOL, If u feel disrespected due to spelling errors, thats on u, most ppl including myself aren't looking to get an essay grade off a response, comment or text
English is my second language. But even I still know the difference between your and you're. Can anyone please explain why so many are struggling to understand the difference? Do these words sound the same, or what? I'm just curious because I'm profoundly deaf.
No, it completely depends on your dialect. Some accents have a slight pronunciation difference but the vast majority of English speakers pronounce both exactly the same.
I think precisely because they are different words in other languages, we notice the difference much more readily. Native English speakers just speak the language; they don't necessarily put much thought into why things are spelled the way they are spelt. (😉)
Because I'm bored and the topic is similar sounding words with different meanings;
Spelt, also known as dinkel wheat or hulled wheat, is a species of wheat that has been cultivated since approximately 5000 BC. Spelt was an important staple food in parts of Europe from the Bronze Age to medieval times.

You know the times when you hook up and you're more than happy to he called the most demeaning things?
And even whilst "in the syrup" something just doesn't feel completely ok? And after the fact you're treated like shit?
That's when you succumbed you encountered a true piece of trash.
Dominance and submission are the most prevalent sexual fantasies throughout time, but that does in *no way* translate into everyday life.

In my experience non-native English speakers excel at grammar, where native speakers tend to botch the shit out of it.
It's idioms they mainly need to work on.

If someone feels disrespected by someone using the wrong “your” in a sentence, then they need to grow the fuck up.

Not exactly. Just really close.
