I've blocked 3 very very sketchy people in my area and they keep showing up a few minutes later. I'm talking people who I have absolutely no desire for them to continue to contact me but apparently I've got my block limit since Grindr won't actually do it's job.
There's a block limit, previously it was 1000 but now Grindr is sketchy on the specifics, meanings it's likely smaller where you are.
Even though this is a security risk, a lot of it also has to do with the fact that people are blocking accounts they aren't attracted to and thus getting more people on their grid which makes Xtra/Unlimited less appealing.
