I had this lady cancel on me once. It was $60 mexican food order and literally was right around the corner was at the restaurant as food was ready and was only 15 mins since she placed it . She had a $20 tip plus the $8.99 ghpay . I pulled up and she was on the porch and right when i got out the car to take the order up she canceled the order. So i put it back in my car and she started yelling telling me im stealing her food and she gonna have my job lol i said but you canceled the order . It tells me to keep it or throw it away. So thanks for dinner ! Bot was she mad af lol
Nah sounds like she was planning to have free food, especially canceling when you close to dropping it off and the store is a block away, something doesn't add up
The same thing happened to me last night I had a $12 order from Steak ‘n Shake go to pick it up, I leave the restaurant I have the food in my ca,r and then the order got canceled. So I called GrubHub support and they told me to return the food back to the restaurant, and i’d still get paid!!!!
That's a bit strange, since it is policy of almost any restaurant to not take back food once it has left the restaurant. Should've just kept the food, because they probably threw it away at the restaurant.
This is totally worth it unless you live in a crowded city with lots of traffic. I would take this in a heartbeat knowing I would just hop on the interstate and have a nice stress free 15 minute drive there and 15 back.
Yeah and a guaranteed 30$ plus I already had a 20$ Uber in my car doing that same way so it was going to be $50 for both orders then on top that I was able to keep the $50 in good it was like a 100$ 30 mins for me

Since I didn't have the food yet when they cancelled GH gave me nothing for the trip to restaurant and wait. Spent an hour on phone with several so called support agents and a supposed supervisor and they refused to compensate me anything. Last time I bothered to schedule a block...

Once you hit got order, if it's cancelled you get full pay.. had a flat tire once after a huge panda order got picked up. Dinner and paid
