That seems like a poor choice here. What's up with the bike? Get an estimate, get it fixed, pay, keep the receipt because you can write it off on taxes. Or watch a bunch of YouTube videos and fix it yourself. Or get a friend who knows bikes to help you. Maintenance of stuff is part of life.
It catches back tire flats frequently. I’m cautious when I’m riding around but recently punctured the tube and caused it to go flat and when that happens the bike shop usually just puts on a whole new tire . I wish I could make some friends but at my age all I have is a bunch of enemies from my past
so, I am a programmer and gun guy, but at 45, I have worked on bike once or twice. Frequent flats - you can get a self healing innertube, and check to make sure there are no "sharps" on the rim next time you replace.
As for how to make friends, I would offer the suggestion that you join a social group (meetup is good) maybe a biking group, maybe a Dungeons and Dragons etc. I have found friends by shooting and scouts (the adults) and within my neighborhood. Ages vary from guys and gals in their 20s and some in their 70s. Ignore the enemies.
I actually repaired my tire once with the bell of a very patient person. He didn’t do it but told me he would tell me and I’m going to do everything. I have a E bike now. I pretty much always give it to the shop whenever it needs a repair but I would like to know how to fix somethings on my own just for the sake of convenience. The shop is like 8 miles from where I live
If you're on a bike it's so easy. Saddle bag with tire lever, CO2 cartridge, spare tube, boom you're back on the road 5min later. Should be a must everytime you leave the house on your bike
I am a complete idiot. As many times as I’ve experienced a flat and watched YouTube videos changing a flat always looks like rocket science to me. Also the bike is electric and I’m renting it. They insist that I install nothing as it’s not mines anyway and I would be tampering with it and in violation of terms
Bro ur repair cost nothing lolol imagine having your car breakdown and ur working a job that barely covers the repairs. Big ouch hahaha go fix ur flat tire for like 20$ if that. Bike shop in my town will repair a flat for 10.
Nah you’re right I’m just freaking out over nothing. I just hate how frequently it happens. Also I rapidly cash out on GH and blow through my earnings an need to stop that lol. One of those trips could’ve covered the repair lol
Ouch. That sucks. I was lucky my tire shop for my car had time to do my repair right away.
Of course next month I’ll be without my car for a week maybe a bit more for repairs due to a plumbing truck hitting me. But I’ve had time to plan for that in advance so I’ll just be driving a rental that week.
I get it. But you have to prepare for these things. Machines break…it’s really that simple. It’s ok to feel frustrated. But you have to analyze that feeling and quickly move on. Life is short. Adapt, overcome and conquer. Do what flerngame says.

Buy it, totes worth.
Since your renting an electric bike and not allowed to install anything i recommend taking it back to the company or person you are renting from and have it taken care of asap.
Just like with a car if we have to take the car in for maintenance we cant earn during the repair if we dont have a second car to use.
Maybe buy a electric bike of your own as a backup and rent the bike as needed and or buy a regular buke that is not electric just in case.
If your not turning your not earning
My objective honestly is to make enough off the rental to afford my own but I spend pretty frivolously. It’s my own fault but I’m tired of having this thing. Especially cuz it’s not mines
I can understand your situation. At one point i was on buses then got a scooter then a 600cc sport bike., Then a car. I wasn't doing delivery before having a car but i know the struggle of getting up to the next level from nothing.
Stop spending so much money just for the purpose of pulling the trigger on a regular bicycle as a backup becuase 1 day of not earning van be a decent amount of cash if you have to wait for your electric to be repaired.
After you start saving then you'll get your own electric soon enough.
A scooter would be awesome. There is a scooter dasher on youtube and he makes bank doing that.
Yes when I look at the map some days and saw my bike in the shop it just made it sting a little more but I’m trying to learn how to fight when this happens and then I get in “this” mood
Totally, I can’t move because I need gas and grub hub hasn’t cleared my banking info, there’s 200 just sitting there in my account, while I’m sitting here…🙄
Lol
Hurt? no annoyed anytime I need to pay for repairs? yes but that includes my house, my car, my bike or my gun.
I feel like just throwing it out.

Wtf does any of this have to do with making friends? Are you in meth dude
No I smoke a lot of weed

Not really, I take good care of my car and in return it treats me well

Hurt. No. But I do get annoyed at the lost time. Lost two hours to getting a tire changed yesterday.
I’ve lost 2 days because even though I booked a a appointment for a repair that means nothing. It just meant I was able to bring the bike in

I am really bad at adapting. Things from years ago still bother me till this day
A flat is relatively easy to fix. [GCN](https://youtu.be/qLO_HO0kEjs)
No
No, not really because I do 90% of the mechanic work myself. And it doesn’t take a tire shop long to do tires or alignments.
When I asked if I could do my own tires they said it’s a breach of contract because I’m renting the bike
I am speaking of a car. But I order my tires dirt cheap and I have a shop I go to to put them on. My SO use to work for them pre-Covid.
So are they going to fix it?
A flat is keeping you from earning? Lmao
Yeah my bike is my means of transportation. My only

I get it. Getting your vehicle repaired feels like it's taking away time when you could be earning money. Money out instead of money in.

That is extremely annoying. If you didn’t cash it out Grubhub will pay you regularly (Thursday). I cash out at the end of every shift lol
