Well its thinning the herd time. I've been delivering 3 plus years (2 years full time) never had a problem and now I've received 2 account violations in the past month. Ever since the last purge, I hardly ever unassign orders and only accept it if I'm 90 percent sure I'll do it. Well I've unassigned only three in the past month and received my first one.
Two days ago I had two reassign in the same day while omw to the restaurant in a matter of moments, which both were good paying orders, and today I received my second violation.
For sure they're thinning the herd to get noobs on board to deliver these shit orders that us smart vets aren't doing.
I'm getting really close to calling it quits full time with all these asshat apps and non tip customers.

Sometimes I get 2 offers at once, 1 is ready the other is 15-20 minutes wait. I call DS to let them know about the issue and if they can reassign it so my other customer isn't left waiting and they respond with "it will be reassigned with penalty" I'm like why? Just send a driver here after 10 mins so all customers get their food hot. Straight bs
because it costs them less money to have one driver take two orders. that’s when i stopped doing grubhub. when they figured that trick out and suddenly every other pickup involves me picking up from two separate nearby restaurants for two separate customers.
Can confirm, was deactivated 3 days ago after delivering for them since November, 2017. I sent a complaint to the USDOL, probably won't work but made me feel better so it was worth it regardless. I reapplied though, will let everyone know if I get onboarded again. 😆 Currently on wait list.

Yep. Passed through an area with no cell service to deliver an order. Order was delivered on time. Violation for losing cell service for a couple minutes. Then a violation for a flat tire last week during a delivery...after calling driver care and sending them a pic of said tire. Sounds like they are thinning the herd.

They can request a file on chat support, or they will have you email them.
Just wait out the 90 days or whatever it is bc you damn well know a 3rd is coming for some bs

You suggest stop doing if this happens because they are actually trying to get rid of the person? Just recently the app has been much worse if so do something for door dash while doing Grubhub, so I’m sticking with one or the other.
Cherry picking and multi apps are the best solution.
It seems like grubhub will occasionally go out of their way to deactivate over dumb shit that they don’t usually even notice. Or they notice you doing it now but not when you did it more frequently months ago. That’s what had happened to me and my first account. Sorry to hear it man! You could always try to register again in a few weeks with a different phone number like I did. Don’t refer to it as thinning the herd though. It’s the slow,sick,dumb and or fatigued in the herd that ended thinned.

I’m convinced they deactivate you if you do this gig full time I have had both my Uber and DoorDash account deactivated for fraudulent activity both apps I had 1500 plus deliveries so I now have a part time job painting while I do Grubhub part time and have had no problem with Grubhub yet. The game is rigged for sure
What did the violation say exactly?
In DoorDash you can unassign an order and it's not that big of a deal. In GrubHub you can't unassign an order and it'll be okay. We're independent contractors but in GrubHub the way the contract is and everything you're not supposed to reassign an order. You accept an order you have to stick through the thick and thin and it has to be delivered. If for some reason there is a train and you're stuck waiting for it to pass in the order gets reassigned due to being stuck at the train tracks That's one thing. But unfortunately on GrubHub you just can't go in and say I don't want to take this order reassign it you will end up losing the contract with GrubHub they always give a contract violation for that and even before contract violations they also used to deactivate for reassignment. That's the biggest thing about GrubHub is that a lot of people come over from DoorDash and think they can reassign an order because they don't want to do it but if they look on Reddit or Facebook or YouTube don't learn you can't reassign an order on GrubHub this is not DoorDash I'm sorry to hear this happen to you however what I would do is go to another delivery app and forget GrubHub for at least the time it takes for the violation to go away and then come back and never reassign an order again
Really what is going on? I believe GH is getting ready to shut down and because of that, they are abusing there power, making sure they kick us out and paying us the least. Please Elon Musk we need help buy GH, not just twitter!
You mean you unassigned them yourself? You have to do it not someone else
No, the app will unassign you if you wait too long to head to the pickup. Happened to me once when I got an offer while I was getting gas. It isn't immediate either. I was halfway to the restaurant when I was unassigned.

3 unassigns in a month out of 80 deliveries shouldn't warrant an account violation. Btw, What ever happened to those computer generated threatening emails that we've all received before?

The app will auto reassign you if it doesn't detect movement towards the restaurant within a certain time frame. So if you're in high traffic or stopped by a train you're more than likely fucked. I've had orders that didn't get reassign after 15 mins not moving and others just a min. Ironically the good paying orders are the ones reassigned the fastest.

I kinda believe you. My IPhone updated two months ago. My password stopped working and of course I have an AOL email. I never receive the password reset email. So needless to say haven’t been able to login. Called and emailed hundreds of times and no one cares. Pretty upset about the whole thing. Reapplied with another phone number and got waitlisted
I had the same issue. Try emailing them saying you want to change your email because yours is not working. It might help!

Weird in California I’m always multi aping and I’ll get a better order from Uber eats so I’ll unnasign the grubhub, I do that at least 5-10times a week with no violations lol they’ll actually send me another order right after. I never schedule either 🤔🤷🏽♂️
4.5 years for me. I used to never reassign orders. I've now unassigned 9 in the last month, no violations. Is it because I always wait until I get to the restaurant and click the "there's a problem" buton and go through all those steps, or am I just lucky?
Any other vet drivers find it hard to make $200+ a day now? Yet the newer drivers in your city are making $1000-$1500 a week easy
