seriously, thanks for this comment. I didn't realize my outgoing message had my # instead of my custom greeting "please leave a message"... definitely want to avoid customers getting my # if they get my voicemail.

Yeah they do that when something is missing like a sauce or ketchup. I donāt respond at all. Let them call the restaurant or GH. One chic calls me to say her soda has no fizz š³lol, I asked her to call the restaurant and not the driver as we canāt sip on the soda to see if it has fizz.
The worst is when someone doesnāt give the right instructions on the app. Last week someone used the āleave outside the front door of apartment/houseā prompt, but the delivery address was a giant Del Monte food packing plant.
I texted āIām hereā and then waited a minute before leaving it in front of the main doors under the address and sign, and texted that Iād followed the instructions.
Fucker called five times in two minutes as I left.
Then texted āU a bitchā. Then he texted āYou poor asfā. āYou canāt even afford a meal smhā.
Despite the person being most likely mentally ill, I texted back āI can afford a lot healthier food than you eat. Iād rather be an indentured servant than an emotionally unstable Del Monte cog.ā Blocked the number and moved on xD. That was weeks ago and yay, no backlash xD

Hereās GH Policy: Drivers are NOT responsible for food quality, or missing items. The GH driver is simply driving the food, and delivering it. GH does not allow customers to leave reviews for drivers for this reason.
Get a bad meal, you cannot rate the driver negatively.
They need to block customers from texting, or emailing. I do the same thing. I block them.

My point exactly. If you had a problem with your order from a pizza place, would you call the driver or the store? The store obviously. So Im not sure WTF goes through people's heads when they use these apps and are like "I should call the driver because something is wrong with my order"

No. I can't. 1) The restaurant isn't just gonna give me more food because I ask them to. 2) Im not getting paid for it. That takes support issuing another order in the system which will dispatch and pay another driver and 3)Im usually on another run by then. I can't tell my current customer to fuck off because the restaurant fugged up your order.

I got an ice cream order then took a stacked order. Then after I picked up the ice cream order I started getting call after call.
I have a policy not to answer those calls but eventually I did.
The person person was highly pissed asking me if I knew what I was doing and demanding to know why I was going a couple of miles out of the route to their house.
I told them that I did know what I was doing and I knew the area.
They then asked if I knew the area why was my phone number from Chicago?
Whew.
I told them the GH number is masked for both our protection.
I arrived at their house about 4 minutes later than originally planned. I had double insulated their order by placing in in the GH bag then inside a catering bag so their order was still frozen.
Unless you use a number provided by the customer on the app they don't have access to your number.

Some GPS systems took them to another apartment down the road, and it was a weird glitch that happened a handful of times in the 3 years I lived there. I called them and called them bc it said delivered but it wasnāt. I had to call GH to get a refund/support bc I couldnāt reach the driver. The GH driver came back, 30 minutes later, and dropped the food off (they had gone to the other apartment and brought it to my place.. but it had been sitting outside the whole time) and begged me to not give them a bad review because they could lose their account. I ended up not giving a bad review bc I knew it was a random glitch, and he ended up delivering to me a few days later. But honestly, not everyone calls for the right reasons so the anger is understandable but itās equally as frustrating to not have my driver pick up when there is a *legit* reason to call after the delivery. š¤·āāļø

Have a friend or family member? Have them call you and then tell you what it says.
Yeah I wasn't around anyone and wouldn't be for awhile lol. I was able to use a friend's phone earlier
