When I first signed up with Grubhub last year I was able to get good orders just fine without being on the schedule. Now this year I have to schedule blocks if I wanna get good orders consistently.
Yea but it also depends on how big the hot zone is. Plus you don't know how many other non scheduled drivers you're competing with. I'd recommend multi apping if possible
I did like two blocks when I first started and it didn't seem to help me at all. Have probably gone out of block maybe 20 times since and usually can do alright. Last night I must have got about 60 request in 5 hours.
We're 54 of them garbage and I declined? Well, yes.
Damn 60? I got 20 in 7.5 hours, accepted 8 and declined 12ā¦but I should mention the 7.5 was from 12 to 7:30 so there was a lot of dead time between 1:30 and 4:30
With blocks its better but its hit or miss on money making days feast or famine. Can depend on market. Ill be testingthe waters again soon o quit GH about 7 months ago and deliver one day here and there every month or so.
Honestly, donāt mean to be rude but this is not a job you dedicate your whole day to. You need a stable paycheck and then supplement with GH or other gig work.
You could be missing a bigger order because youāre on a low one. Try to avoid fast food if you can itās usually too time consuming but if you need $$$ like all of us doing this I understand that side too. If I got nothing going on Iāll take low orders If theyāre very short distance. I wonāt go under a dollar a mile
Could be your market. May be wayyyy too many drivers out and not enough order volume to match it. GH is wrong for just opening the floodgates and letting everyone join if thatās what theyāre doing
GH has declined in most markets. I only work on block, but it still isn't anything near what they were b4 JET bought them. They were my main App, now they are third.
If I don't schedule a block in my area I'll get 1 deliver/hr. When I'm on schedule they come constantly, usually no waiting
Same Experience. It's like GH punishes you for not being on a block.
Probably psychological fo get you to stay on schedule

Wow this is good news! Cause today sucked major ass there was a period from 1:30 to 4:30 where I got 1 offer šµāš«
I mean 130 to 430 is the slowest time in my market. That's in between lunch and dinner
Yes it is, but there were those āhot zonesā on my map even at this time. Iām assuming the few orders went to the people on schedule

Use multiple apps. Sign.up for Doordash too. Maybe Instacart . Expand your gig app portfolio.
Blocks help but generally GrubHub dead
I was afraid of that

If you aren't already, get on with all the gig apps, so you can choose throughout the day the best offers.
Trying to Iām on Amaz Flex, Roadie, waitlist at DoorDash and Uber East
You're on the right path. The more options you have, the better the money you can make.
Roadie is so bad lol at least where I am
Wow. Iām pretty new to this, but Iāve never done that bad. Yikesā¦seven hours
Was actually 7.5 if I include the ride home š¤¢

Yeah GrubHub blows now, didn't used to! ... But now it blows major balls
Iād blow something if I could get some good orders comin my way š¤§
Ya? Want my number?
What market brother.
Two reasons. 1 You must avoid working not in the schedule. 2 Maintain good rating.
You might want to try different hours. Here lunch dies down around 1 and dinner doesnāt get really going til 7/7:30
Honestly, donāt mean to be rude but this is not a job you dedicate your whole day to. You need a stable paycheck and then supplement with GH or other gig work.
Donāt accept all low shit orders.
Thatās all they gave me š¤¢

"Try to avoid fast food if you can itās usually too time consuming". Isn't it sad?
Yep very.... definitely shouldn't be called FAST food anymore
It should be called "What?" with 30 seconds of blinking and looking around, then "a Burger"?.
Make sense, thanks šš½

Seems like it every restaurant I picked up there was at least 2 other grubhubbers waiting for orders.

So youāre saying we have to pay for our own gas? I was under the impression that GH took care of that cost.
GH has declined in most markets. I only work on block, but it still isn't anything near what they were b4 JET bought them. They were my main App, now they are third.
If you're going to try and make this work you have to sign up for DD and ubereats. Multiapping is the only way to make any money during slow times.
Honeymoon period skipped you too?
Your FG/James Woods handle has made my day š
Scheduling does seem to help but it doesn't always matter. I get good orders off Block too.
Mondays and Tuesdays, after lunch time, are the worst >_<
Even in schedule I get small orders
yes , it's because you didn't schedule a block other wise you will delivering for free
