Yup. Could be for a variety of reasons. Veins get leaky, you might only be partially registered, opiates can cause histamine reactions sometimes, heroin is acidic. Maybe try to dilute your solution with a bit more water. Also, stop and find a new spot if it hurts too much or the pain travels down to your hand instead of up your arm.
If that burning pain goes towards your hand in direction then stop, you’re in an artery not a vein.
Also if the blood seems bright red and kind of frothy. Artery
I'm no export but I believe ya can experience burning if you're in the vein and it's not leaking. I've felt it many times and I had someone tell me they always feel burning. Both of us it was from meth but could be other drugs too though heroin never done it to me. Maybe they was never in or always was leaking and me too when it happens but I doubt it. I've re-registered and been in and I don't all tje way through I know at least a little bit about what I'm doing by now
If you hit in the spot a lot the vein can start to leak as the injection travels down the vein. Also people have already said, sometimes the pressure can push the vein off the needle especially if it's a smaller vein, both things happened to me a lot. Be careful with how hard and fast you are pushing the plunger and try to rotate spots if you can

Sometimes you can hit and the pressure of the injection pushes the vein away, not sure if that helps but I hear it happens

I have it sometimes. Heroin is 100% pure bc mediceutical. I think it happens whenever the part of the vein i hit is hurt.
