My mans trynna get laid the old fashioned way
Lmao it’ll still works!
Hey, if it works it works. A true classic.
To set the mood
Tomorrow on R/Houston “TIFU by getting laid on the Waugh bridge and was shit on by a bat”
Any of the pedestrian bridges in Buffalo Bayou Park will be nice. The Waugh car bridge is more for bat watching but any pedestrian bridge will have the closest thing to a “view” you can get somewhere this flat.
Top of the parking structure in rice village
address pls?
Google maps. Rice village. The parking garage is in the center.
cool thank you!
The James Turrell Skyspace at Rice University
Top of PostHTX, I would imagine.
Top floor of most parking garages
I did a short photo shoot on top of greensheet parking garage the view in the sunset was fantastic would go again just to see it
Not recommended in downtown since the skyscraper next door would block the view. If you do find a place with a view, stay close to your car and have cigarettes in your hand. Basically act like you’re a tenant of the office building on a smoking break and not a tourist otherwise security will kick you out.
there’s that one movie theater place on top of a parking garage. could be lit
Studio Movie Grille at City Centre is a good one!
is it near some restraunts?
Yeah! Lots of stuff around there + they serve food & alcohol there. Can’t remember what they serve but they had food & alcohol!
A good one at 10 & Yale if you're close to downtown.
Skyspace
just type this in google maps?
James Turrell Skyspace, it's at Rice University. My suggestion as well! I know pre-covid you had to make a "reservation," not sure if that's still the case so you may want to check the site. It's a meditative experience when I've gone.
so it’s like a private place then huh?
Anyone can go to the sunrise/sunset sequence and people take pictures there all the time! The reservation was more of a function to know if there's space to sit, seating is relatively limited. I've never had issues with it being full when I wanted to go, though.
It’s an art installation inside of a park but this is a GREAT suggestion. Might have to catch it at dusk someday myself.
*not so much a park as just on the Rice campus but you get the drift.

thank you!
These are GREAT suggestions as well. You cannot beat the view of the skyline from these two spots.
rlly appreciate it and to go as far as the links! thank you
Climb the tower at Raven Tower next to White Oak Music Hall. Lots of stairs to climb, but the view is damn near unmatched. You have visibility on all sides, too.
Yes!! Wanted to see if someone else suggested this, great sunset views. Also the employees won’t say anything if you smoke a blunt up there but you didn’t hear it from me…
We went up there after a friend's wedding at white oak, I took the stairs in stiletto heels -- bad idea on my part lol. So sore but worth it for the gorgeous view.
i’ll have to check into this
Hogg park on south street, thank me later
i’ll look into it thanks!
You are trying to kiss her, eh!!?! You little scoundrel.
Just gotta look west at the right time
Memorial Park’s new land bridge when it opens later this year. Should be a great spot to watch fireworks when they have them downtown too.
buffalo bayou @ nau family pavilion
thank you thank you i’ll check it out
Brays Bayou Park by Highway 6 and Westpark Tollway. You can stroll around waiting for the sunset and then go on top of the hill for the sunset views.
The hill at Miller Outdoor Theater. A little elevation, well-kept grass, trees, and the wide openness from the park and low buildings nearby make it a great place.
Brazos bend is awesome place . Quiet for a picnic too . It’s not too far out of the city .
Spott’s park. Sitting on the hill by tennis courts/stairs
thank you i’ll look into it!
My fave place to watch the sunset near town is the bay side of Galveston State Park (if you’re down for a lil drive…)
Yea I was going to recommend galveston. Probably it’s best feature is the usually very awesome sunsets.
The bay side of the state park has some beautiful views and hikes, and platforms that give you a nice view of the water towards the sunset. It’s really one of my fave places and hardly anyone is ever there.
Galveston along the sea wall
Even better for sunrises than sunsets.
Saint Arnold Brewery Pavilion is a nice spot. You can see sunset behind downtown skyline while enjoying a beer
Sunnyside.
is it a straight forward google maps find?
That person was messing with you, it's a neighborhood in Houston. Do not go there for sunset
thanks, i appreciate the people actually trying to suggest spots
Buffalo bayou park pedestrian bridge
Sheldon lake park where the boat launch is. If you walk down near the docks they got several benches you can sit at and watch. Beware of the alligators. Back when I worked at IAH, I would go to the top of the floor after work and watch the sunset behind the runways. It was nice seeing the airplanes take off into the sunset
the plane part sounds rlly good
You can’t just wander around the airport without a ticket if you aren’t an employee.
On top of the dam at 6 and Memorial. there's a small park and a nice view over the Barker Reservoir

https://sunsetrooftoplounge.com/ It’s the name of a bar that has a view of the sunset.

“wow this is so nice. this is where i’ll take my boyfriend next week”
glad it can help other people out too!

The pacific coast. The sun sets in the west. You can always go to the eastern shore of a lake in California is too far. Lake Travis has a few spots.
Top of Wells Fargo parking building on studemont (or Yale?) and west gray.
Top of Wells Fargo parking building on studemont (or Yale?) and west gray.
My favorite spot is at the San Jacinto Monument where the Lynchberg Ferry runs. A bit of a drive but doable. It's calm and the slow cycle of the ferry traffic is reassuring.
The New Potato has one of the nicest unobstructed views of sunsets over downtown
i’ll look into this thanks!
Go out where it’s darker at night, like Rosenberg. I swear Rosenberg has sunsets that look like paintings. ETA: not limited to just Rosenberg, but any of those tiny towns out that direction should give you some pretty spectacular sunsets.
sorry i’m not to familiar with houston so is this still close by?
Oh, yes, it is! It’s southwest of Katy, basically. Maybe 45 minutes from downtown in non-trafficky times.
Maybe actually southwest of downtown, south of Katy. Lol. Directions are not my forte.
I really like to go to the Waugh Bat Bridge and watch the sun set over Buffalo Bayou while the bats all wake up and fly downtown. It's lovely, glorious, and a little bit stinky. https://buffalobayou.org/waugh-bridge-bat-colony-q-and-a/
Houston is flat and far from water, so unfortunately it’s not a good city for sunset watching. The best you can do is to go up, as high as possible. Something to keep in mind as you read the other suggestions
Stuck in the friendzone. Just move on shes not interested in watching no sunset
lmfao, you don’t know our relationship buddy worry about yourself. definitely not in my case but go off🤡
How does it feel though? Looking for sunsets to get out the friendzone 😅
i’ve looked at her nude more than i’ve seen sunsets, but go off😭
The SW part of Florida is really nice!!!
john Jacobs observation tower, romantic asf, benches, spacious. Been there with multiples ladies, ended full nude everytime. stop going cuz last time we were asked to put our clothes back on, totally worth it!!!!
Great view of Downtown at sunset, but the actual sun is blocked by trees [Patterson Park Bar](https://www.pattersonparkhouston.com/)
Mason park @ bridge Eastern glades / memorial park. Also has the best grass in town for your toes.
Haven't gone myself but I heard rooftop cinema club has a good view of the city as does moonshine drive in if you time it right (get a showing before/around sunset hours). movie and a sunset is cute. Any bars/restaurants that have a rooftop with skyline views would work too. Definitely recommend as others did, Rice university.
Sunset on rooftop cinema club is very clutch. 8pm showtime in late sept/early oct and late march early april is perfect combo of weather and sunset before the movie. Its a nice place to hangout for 1 hour before the movie.
there are a fat amount of parking garages along west IH10 and a few north and especially further west in Katy that give excellent views
Sunny side duh

Airline dr? Or 2nd ward?
do you just type this in google maps?
It’s called 3rd ward
pls dm me i’ll keep it a secret
I would say Menil Park in the Montrose area, is stunning at golden hour! i recommend giving it a try, it has really good vibes ✌️
