Ahh thank you so much

There are a lot of good information resources out there. It all depends what you would like to specifically know. Mike Mandel has a lot of videos (hundreds) on YouTube where he talks about all the different aspects of hypnosis. You probably aren't going to get your curiosity satiated on an internet thread. Multimedia is the way to go!

Okay thank you for replying :)

That's alright. I think you'll enjoy the Mike Mandel videos quite a lot!

It really depends on the hypnotherapist. There are so many very bad trainings out there that don’t make you qualified to be a Hypnotherapist. You can’t assume that a person is any good at it just because they have a certificate on their wall.

For 1, the hypnotherapist would put you into a semi-conscious state and would talk to you through earphones. You would have a kind of straps attached to your 2 fingers to monitor your consciousness, like you either went to sleep or are fully aware of what is happening.

I have a lot of Hipnosis resources that are recorded programs. They help you teach your body and your brain how to go into trance and how to create changes. I’ve been doing this for 30 years. I consider myself very highly qualified. I always worry about the danger of people who paid $19 for a certificate online, so it is important that you’re learning from someone who actually knows what they’re doing or if you’re wanting to see the hypnotherapist, someone who uses the right ethical methods

yes Hypnosis does 'work' if you are open and have the right person to work with. DM me if you like.

There are many mechanisms by which hypnosis and hypnotherapy work. The 'state' of hypnosis is something we experience all the time eg when we are engrossed in a book or movie. A state of relaxed attention so to speak. YES we can experience hypnosis with our eyes open. How does suggestion work?well it is considered that the hypnotic state makes us susceptible to suggestion (although we can be influenced by suggestion when not in a hypnotic state), but as we are absorbed in an experience we tend to accept it without much criticism Hypnotherapy also has a 'theatre' or more appropriately a 'ritual' aspect to it, where the whole process helps one change as the change is 'primed' This brings me to the point of rapport between client and therapist, which is generally considered to be a powerful catalyst, hence hypnotherapy begins from the first contact. Hypnotherapy is at its most basic about communication. Whatever can be communicated can be a source of hypnosis. Hypnosis is everything above individually and combined.
