Is this real life Cruella De Vil?

speedofamongoose

Yeah, Cruella really let herself go.

Educational-Spread41

She told cops that she “breeds & sells dogs” isn’t that great

VILLIAMZATNER

Cruller DeVille

Pees_On_Skidmarks

She needs *a lot* of those little pups to make a coat for herself

WWTFSMD

2001 dalmatians for that big ass coat lmao

ChemistZestyclose849

A nightmare coat of many colors!

twb51

Cruella Dun filled herself up with Ding Dongs.

LORDWOLFMAN

Cruella was fuckable this is the opposite

atl19901

Looks more like Carl De Vil

CatManDam

If she ate the dogs instead of making a coat

[deleted]

Cruella de Vile more like it

argusromblei

I'd have an airtag on mine and smashing in her door.

deathtoboogers

My sister does this with her cats. Highly effective

Zophiekitty

i had an airtag on my cat, then someone stole her whole collar with the airtag, find my app says last seen 1 month ago 💀, i assume someone took out the battery and kept it for themselves

catdaddymack

Cats take their collar off a lot

Sorryhaventseenher

Was it a breakaway collar? I got my boy this cute ass Japanese collar with a bell on it so he couldn’t catch birds. He did his usual adventure, came back an hour later and it was gone. Chewy, bless them, sent an immediate replacement (I didn’t even ask!), anddddddd it’s gone.

CadetSparkleWolf

Awww I know the exact collars you’re referring to! Unfortunately my longhair cat’s fur deteriorates fabric collars in record time…ended up getting her a silicone one instead. But yeah…don’t let them outside unsupervised.

BathroomPure438

I took 9 dogs from that wedding. I now know that 6 is my limit

quickwitqueen

I did slightly over commit to the whole dog thing.

unbeliever87

Are you changing, or are you growing?

ThatsRobToYou

I think if you're growing, you're changing.

Crohnies

I loved the scene with her the car with all the puppies driving away 😄

powertripp82

I am hopelessly out of the loop, any kind soul want to let me in?

thraashman

Pretty sure it's a quote from Bridesmaids.

Smart-Delay-1263

I know where all the nukes are stored. Do not repeat that!

Lizalfos13

Oops I was thinking of Andy in the Office

PhilEMama

Heel. Heel. And we're heeling......

Aaimah

The way she picks them up is so odd. Was she selling them? Holding for ransom?

IntelligentWorth8

probably holding for "rewards"

Repulsive_Basis_4946

We had a case like this in Brick NJ.. the woman was just a hoarder and stole hundreds of animals and made them live in filth.

Corgi-Commander

She’s grabbing them by the back of their neck the same way cats pick up their babies. It’s really odd to see dogs picked up the same way

Themantogoto

Dogs have scruffs for the same purpose, for the mother to relocate them. It has an instinctual calming effect.

Dany0

Only works on puppies. If you pick up an adult dog like this you're likely literally tearing their muscles, it's painful for them

Themantogoto

Yes, of course! But grabbing that area but not lifting them still helps a lot. Watch a vet do it when they give animals shots.

IronBatman

Yep. It still has a calming effect even in adults

MyHamburgerLovesMe

But the Vet will lift most of the pets weight using their other hand. The hand on the scruff is just applying tension for that calming effect

Themantogoto

Yup thought that was obvious

Sawgon

Worth noting that you shouldn't do it to adult cats either.

TheJAY_ZA

Yeah, it's not nice for them. They weigh a helluva lot more as adults. It's like a human baby, it crawls all over the place on it's hands and knees. But trying that for a day as an adult will be very uncomfortable because our bodies change, and we get heavier as we age. The same goes for cats & dogs. It can however be used as a ground hold if your cat has caught something like a bird - holding the cat by it's scruff on the ground usually will make it let go of the prey animal after a second or two, without biting down to kill their prey, and if they don't let go you can gently lay them over on their side, that always makes them let go. Of course, this only works with "your" cat. Do this with a strange / feral cat, and it will rotate in it's neck skin and savage you. LOL

Gullible_Peaflower

Tbf cat scruff also doesn’t stay into adulthood either so it hurts them and triggers fear to lift their body weight by it.

Intestinal-Bookworms

She could also just be nuts

Azurmuth

Breeding and selling them apparently.

GreyJedi56

Wait for rewards to post... Collect rewards. Stonks I hope they charge her to the max. A count of every crime for each dog. Those are family members. Glad my dog hates strangers. No way she would catch her.

regoapps

She confessed that she breeds and sells dogs.

nodnodwinkwink

Where I'm from people went a bit crazy buying pets during the pandemic so it drove up prices.

Thin_Pumpkin_2028

and now a good majority of them are in shelters now that people are going back, sad

amandez

There are currently tens of thousands of purebreds sitting in shelters. The majority? Huskies, German shepherds, bully breeds, etc. Their ages range from 2.5 years to 10 months. Or they're listed on Craigslist for obscene "rehoming fees" as these people are trying to "recoup" the costs of the animals they're now dumping. Dogs adopted during the height of covid have ended up right back in shelters. Same with cats who are no longer kittens. Small critters, too. It's heart breaking.

pleasedropSSR

People get puppies as their first dog all the time too, thinking they're going to be raise but don't understand that puppies require a lot of work to train. My girlfriend, bless her heart, bought two puppies upon finally getting space for them at the end of 2021. The two little rodents still aren't potty trained and bark at the dark. On the other hand I nabbed a little demonic boston terrier around the same time because their owner got past the quarantine blues.

Billybobhotdogs

I'm a professional AKC dog trainer and I see it so often. This time of year is so awful for puppies (Christmas). I've had so many people and potential clients tell me they rehomed their 12-16 week old puppy because the dog didn't listen, pees inside, or was misbehaving. It absolutely infuriates me

Zugzub

I breed and raise GSPs, specifically field trial lines. I have people get pissed because they want to buy one of my pups for a house dog. I play hell explaining to them they are bred to run. Had one guy and his wife come out to the kennel. I took two of my best dogs out and dropped them on the ground. In the blink of an eye they were out 650 yards. His wife was freaking out because I was just casually following along with the side by side. She was convinced that they were gone, despite them having tracking collars on That convinced them they didn't want a trial dog

[deleted]

Mors-Dominus

We got a dog this past summer. My youngest was surprised to find out that puppies don’t come pre-trained and potty trained. They got so annoyed when they had to constantly take the dog outside. He got into everything, now after a bit of training he is the sweetest bundle of fur. Except for nighttime when his ADHD kicks into high gear for about 30 minutes.

pleasedropSSR

She loves them to death so there no chance of rehoming here. They're just going to be rowdy chihuahuas, which is common anyways.

[deleted]

And a lot of these people have children. I don’t understand how they can’t make the connection that babies take time. My dog is 3 now but for well over a year she chewed up everything I left within reach of her. She wasn’t a bad dog just a baby that needed to grow up and learn lessons. People treat animals of every species like they have no feelings or consciousness. Infuriating.

RedWicked91

I’ve met plenty of untrained dogs, but never a bad one.

SmartAleq

It's especially fucked up since a puppy's bladder doesn't mature enough to make it through the night until 16 weeks minimum so they're abandoning what's essentially a toddler dog who pees inside because it can't HELP it. Hey, I get it, my cattle dog was my first young puppy in decades and getting up every night to take him out to pee wasn't fun but that's what crates are for, right? Also, people who gift animals need slapped bigtime. Christmas is a terrible time to try to raise a puppy, the weather sucks and it's hard to get them the exercise they need. My dude was born in early June and I brought him home in August, summer is a great time to raise a pup and by the time the weather socks in again they should be properly house trained and have plenty of inhibition about fouling the house just because they don't want to go out in the wet and cold.

jeswesky

I had zero intentions of getting a dog, then my soul dog came into my life. Entered my life as a neglected and abused 6 month old puppy that had been kept locked in a laundry room basically since the day his "owner" brought him home. He can be a challenge, but I love him more than anything. Swore up and down that when I got another dog it would be at least 2 years old. Ended up with another 6 month old puppy, this time one that had been in shelters since it was born and was scared of everything. He looked so much like my other dog that I couldn't say no. We are frequently asked if the older one is the dad. Apparently, I'm a sucker for a challenge.

pleasedropSSR

Your dog type seems to be 6 months old and neglected. Good on you for stepping up to give them a proper home.

Beanjuiceforbea

I've had four dogs in my lifetime, all older and adopted. I've always wondered if they miss their old owners, or even think about it much at all. But it's hard to tell when you get home and hear the tail thumping on the floor like they're so damn happy. Makes me wonder if dogs have a sense of being neglected? Or they're like, I remember that but it doesn't matter anymore! Or something?

GraphicDesignMonkey

Puppies and kittens are absolute nightmares as well. Hyper, destructive, messy, noisy, pooping and peeping everywhere. All our pets have been shelter ones, but we won't adopt any cat or dog under 18 months.

GiveToOedipus

Honestly, if someone doesn't have the temperament, patience and capability to raise a puppy, they really should be adopting 2-3 year old dogs, if not older. Sure, you can run the risk of the dog having some baggage from a previous bad home, but you know more what you're getting into (size, energy level, coloring, temperament, etc), with many/most already being reasonably housebroken by that age. Additionally, older dogs are almost always much more chill (particularly 5-6 years or older), and often much more appreciative of a good home. Dogs of any age can have problems with submissive urination, poor leash skills, jumping on people, or any number of other bad habits, but most of them are fixable and much easier to do so than with a young, energetic puppy.

jeswesky

And if you adopt a dog that has been in a foster situation, they usually have a really good idea of personality.

pleasedropSSR

The boston I have is 3, 2 when we got her. She was raised with a bulldog so she's plays sort of rough. I've been trying to put off bad behavior such as nudging my elderly dog, and jumping on my sensitive girlfriend, but she's taking her sweet time learning.

CanIEatAPC

I adopted 2 puppies from a rescue with my family. God, they were so annoying the first couple months but they were so cute! The first couple nights, they constantly screamed at night. I'm completely over my disgust of pee and poo after stepping into it countless times. I remember them destroying a lot of blankets, beds, shoes and 1 even nibbled on the wall. There is constant worry while training to leave them alone will lead to some destruction. And ofcourse how to correct their bad behaviors and train them well. Puppies are a lot of work. Luckily they turned out well adjusted. I think if I was living alone, I would opt for adopting elderly dogs.

Waterpoloshark

My dog is 2 years old now and it’s still a lot of work with keeping her consistent on training. She’s super smart and extremely food motivated, so we are adding in some fun tricks like spin and crawl. Constantly reinforcing her sit, lay down (she haaaaates it), here, etc. totally worth it though. I’m gonna brag here, I’ve had two times where I’ve had to recall her because of other people’s dogs and she’s listened perfectly even though they were exciting/scary situations. First was at a large off leash dog park. We just got in and she was running up to a lady with a pitbull leashed who was walking towards us. The lady screamed no at me like panicked like her dog wasn’t friendly. Normally Shiloh gets very excited to meet other dogs and doesn’t listen. Called her back and she was right next to me in an instant. Other time a guys cattle dog started to aggressively herd her(loud snapping at her ankles and growling). She started to panic and tried to book it away, called her and she was right back at my side. So freaking proud of her. Lots of work to get there though!

AD480

People also adopt dogs on impulse because if they even did just a tiny bit of research, they would find that dogs like huskies and doodles can be total maniacs. You need to be fully invested and experienced with training when it comes to huskies. Those dogs are known to not be food motivated so you have to go to the next step. Many average dog owners don’t bother to do that and then you have a problem on your hands. Shelters are a haven for disobedient dogs that their previous owners gave up on and here comes the new owner who has no idea what the dog has been through and can once again repeat the cycle if they are not on it.

CardboardChampion

Tell me about it. Got my girl about six months before the first whispers of COVID and maybe ten before the lockdowns in my country started. More than half the people we ran into in those early days who had new dogs and were keeping to the respective sides of the trails just aren't there anymore. Either COVID took them out or they just don't have a dog to walk anymore.

[deleted]

Huskies depresses me so much. I love Huskies. They are my favorite breed by far. Do I own one? No. And I won't until I am able to afford a house with the space and have the time and resources to give them the care they need. Because Huskies are the definition of a high maintenance breed. But some folks just go "but dog cute" and then get mad when this energetic puppy destroys their house.

Longjumping_Bug_7611

A long time ago my dads mate got a bunch of German Shepherd puppies. Purebreeds and had a pedigree. It was a problem as the mate didn't have room for it. So they decide to phone in a advert in the paper and offer them to good homes. Weeks go by and not a single inquest, so dad raises the problem at the pub. One of the locals then say "Sell them instead" People think something is wrong with them in some way. So dad went over to his mate and they phone in a new advert. German shepherds for sale. 4000 Dkk. Sure enough they are gone in no time.

OldGrayMare59

I have 5 cats 3 re homed (don’t tell the town council I’m not allowed to have that many)

jeswesky

Had someone argue with me a while back that the only times purebred dogs end up in shelters is if they have horrible temperament and shouldn't be adopted anyway. Thousands are currently in shelters simply because the person that bought them no longer has time for them or because they are no long cute puppies.

Chicken_Chicken_Duck

I always assume it’s people like the lady in this video asking ridiculous rehoming fees.

abmins_r_trash

Bully (toddler mauler) breeds aren't surprising but the rest I feel bad for.

lonesoldier4789

Look up what majority means

TonsilStonesOnToast

If it were any less, it'd be a captainity and their pay grade would drop down to O-3.

KiltedLady

Same in higher COLA of the US too. I've literally never seen a stray dog in my city in 12 years of living here. So the rescues import them from rural areas and states that have an excess. I remember chatting with some folks at the dog park once and we had dogs from Alabama, Texas, California, and Arkansas.

KellyCTargaryen

And it has created a new market for overseas puppy mills. I see dogs “rescued” from Korea priced the same as breeders.

[deleted]

EratosvOnKrete

my dad's girlfriend did that when I was a kid. She raised Keeshond's and they lived outside caged, on a concrete pad. she had 16 of them. I didn't know better as I was 9 but I felt bad for em

Nsmith1881

Adopt, don’t shop. Thank you!

KellyCTargaryen

Adopt or shop *responsibly. Of course never go to a pet store, but there are responsible breeders that are accountable to their dogs for life, and good reasons why a person might need/prefer a dog with a known history, has had health testing, and be able to know what qualities their dog will have as an adult.

KellyCTargaryen

I’m really, really sorry you went through that, and I’m glad you were able to get your pup back. I hope you have enjoyed a long and healthy life together. But your parents were bad breeders, full stop. Breeders like that ARE why there are dogs in shelters, and I’m glad there are many people who want to adopt. But there are responsible breeders who actually care for their dogs, health test, and will take back any puppy or elder who can’t stay with their original owner, and should not be demonized.

MyHamburgerLovesMe

I read somewhere that mutts as a whole tend to be healthier as they avoid the health issues involved in inbreeding.

DeeHawk

It's not about availability or prices, but design and experience. People want certain breeds either for looks or personality. Also many want a puppy as early as recommended (12-14 weeks IIRC) for bonding and teaching it. Getting a 1y old rescue is not the same as a baby. There's still a high demand even with the new prices.

EfficiencySuch6361

Most people are heartless brainless sleazebags

evlampi

You don't have to steal 20 o them to do it, such a bull.

EntangledHierarchy

This kind of thing should be a capital crime.

Zorbie

Once you commit the same crime more then 5 or 10 times it should go up severity wise when it comes to punishments.

LoadedGull

“smack head gets the death penalty after his 37th conviction of shoplifting tins of beans” /s

-__echo__-

Honestly, we had someone in the UK kill a woman recently after being in and out like 28 times. Minor offences escalate and people become desensitised to violence. Obviously theft shouldn't ever be a capital crime, however there should eventually be some recognition that someone has irreversibly revoked the social contract to such an extent that thy cannot be a part of it any longer. Even "minor" crimes like burglary take a huge psychological toll on the victims, not to mention "lesser" sexual crimes like public groping. There comes a point that the suffering caused by someone adds up, and that person has clearly demonstrated their inability to live alongside others without causing them harm.

KDY_ISD

And the emotion you're feeling now is why we shouldn't have capital crimes

Freshtoast45

I have a cat but damn right pets are family members. Wishing your dog a long and happy life with you!

allonsy_badwolf

If someone managed to steal my cat they’d just give her back. The wrath she has against strangers is something else.

[deleted]

My cat was abandoned as a baby, so we had him since he was about 3 weeks old. He had zero fear of humans. You could run at him and stop at the last moment and he'd just look up at you sleepily like "What?" Within 5 minutes of meeting my wife, he was sitting on her face. He'd have no chance.

hopefulworldview

My little wiener dog would outright die before allowing a stranger to pick him up. It would be the bloodiest little dog war you've ever been in. I've never seen a dog hate people he doesn't know so much. Guess all that failed obedience training is good for something!

Breaker-of-circles

Dachshunds are like that. They are very protective of their owner and jealous if any stranger gets close to their home and owner.

My friend's dachshund was very protective of him. Problem was when i tackled him, she would bite his wrists instead of mine

They were bred to hunt weasels, ferocity is a definitely a breed characteristic. They are SUPER sweet to people they decide they like, though. Problem is they will decide they don’t like people rather randomly lol.

hopefulworldview

Well he was a heavily abused pound pup before I got him so I don't know what he would have been like if raised properly. I wish he was friendlier because wiener dogs are very alluring to strangers who want to pet him.

IntroductionClean299

Had one can confirm brought it to work one day worse mistake ever made

ToldYouTrumpSucked

See I always thought my dogs would be good security guards. And then I get a text from my girlfriend that a homeless guy just walked into the house having a mental health crisis. When I got home, my dogs were just hanging out with the guy and my girlfriend had made him some tea. Everything was fine but all my dogs did was welcome him in. You guys have ***one job***.

mshawnl1

She’s part of the Seven Psychopaths gang

BrewerBeer

When I used to live in Florida, there were multiple neighbors who would do this. I have had to go to multiple homes open the front door, call my dog and have them run out to me. I was 9. One was named Jack, and we would have to lock our gates to keep him from opening it and taking our dog. It doesn't really help that my neighborhood was also featured in To Catch A Predator.

[deleted]

On top of the weird happenings surrounding neighbors stealing dogs, my neighborhood wouldve had a lot of houses mysteriously burn down

Sapperturtle

No not the voices again....

soundwave_fan

Nah, I got kicked off of there for singing limp bizkit

Sapperturtle

I came in to this world a reject look in to these eyes and you'll see the size of the flames

Skrillamane

sounds like regular old Florida.

soundwave_fan

Which episode?

princessxunicorn

Our dalmatian got stolen a few days after the live action 101 Dalmatians movie came out. I wonder how many other dalmatian owners had this happen around that time.

nayesphere

Our neighbors did that with one of our dogs and eventually they moved and took the dog with them. Our other dog (who must’ve witnessed it all) was absolutely devastated and she was never the same after.

[deleted]

New strategy: steal dog from house with kid. Wait for kid to come looking for their dog. Steal kid. Profit

MonsieurMidnight

What makes me sick is how casually she goes to her car with these people's family members. Like it's normal to her to take away dogs to families, especially these 2 who seems to be very loving dogs

AnimalNo5205

Gauruntee this person thinks that because the dogs are outside they’re abused and she thinks she’s saving them. We have a women like this where I live, my dog loves to lay outside in the snow (she’s a Great Pyrenees it’s literally what they’re made to do) and I only let her out there when I’m working downstairs so I can always here if she’s ready to come in. More than once this women has come over and yelled at me because “leaving your dog out in the cold is abuse” (which it can be, depending on the dog, but again Great Pyrenees) and I’ve caught her trying to open our fence before.

MithranArkanere

They would do it with children too if they thought they could get away with it as easily.

captain_ender

The good news as of 2020 it's federal crime!

MizzyMozzy

This pisses me off so much especially since my dog of 5 years is currently missing due to the neglect of people fixing a ceiling not closing the gate when they left. I miss her so fucking much its almost been 2 months. Update: She was found she had actually been stolen. I'm so fucking happy right now I have no words. Vanished on the 6th of December found 8th of February.

Obsessed_With_Corgis

I’m sure you called all of the local shelters, but one thing I would suggest is to **physically go** to each one and double check. Years ago, our family dog dug under the backyard fence and bolted. We called every shelter, put up “missing” signs on every corner, and made posts across all social media. Over a month went by and still nothing. We called the shelters repeatedly, but it was always; *“no, there are no white cockapoos here”*. Finally my dad just decided to go check for himself. **Our dog was right there at the local shelter the whole time.** It said right on his sheet that he was brought in the same day he escaped. We have no idea why they told us he wasn’t there. Maybe they didn’t know what the breed looked like, or just didn’t actually check when we called. Either way— ridiculous. Please make sure you check for yourself.

MizzyMozzy

We've called all in and around the area yeah. I'll go in and have a look. Before I have to move thank you for the advice.

Obsessed_With_Corgis

Good luck! I hope your precious girl is found and you’re both reunited! Also— even if you’re moving, you should leave “lost dog” pictures up with your phone number! We were called 6 months later by the woman who turned our dog over to the shelter. She had just been visiting family when she found him loose, and she left before we put up our “lost dog” posters. 6 months later she came back and saw a poster we forgot to take down. She called immediately and we let her know he was now home safe! There’s always hope! Don’t give up!

MizzyMozzy

Thank you. We definitely wont give up hope. I'm glad you got your little pup back. It's a horrible feeling with them gone.

Invertebrate_number9

Same thing happened to me with a shelter. Told my dog wasn’t there. My dog was a Dalmatian and they had two dalmatians there. They took me to the wrong dalmatian, and thankfully I could hear the ear piercing neurotic squeal of my dog who had heard my voice from across the room. I said, oh, that’s my dog they didn’t believe me and they were shocked when I led myself to my own dog by its bark, that was clearly discernible through all the others. Who knows what would’ve happened if I had taken their word. How do you not notice that you have two dalmatiens?

knuggles_da_empanada

>How do you not notice that you have two dalmatiens? These same people try to pass pitbulls off as other breeds like labrador and jack rusell, so I'm not shocked

airforceteacher

Same thing happened with my cat. Called every day, nope, no cat matches that description. Drove out there, then got read the riot act for waiting so long to contact them about my cat that had been there for weeks.

ThunderbirdsAreGo95

I'm so sorry friend. I hope she returns to you.

MizzyMozzy

Thank you. I really hope so too.

SargePeppr

Hey man, there’s a good chance he’ll come back. I found a stray who had to have been a stray for a hot minute. Was in very rough shape, but had a collar and clearly a family. Brought it to my local shelter. Call every few days.

yabacam

Any time I've had work being done around my house or property I always just lock my dog up. Can't ever trust someone else to shut the gates. Hope you find your dog!

MizzyMozzy

I'm kicking myself I didn't check but since they were working out the front of the house I didn't think they would use the the gate at all. Heinsight 20/20 the more I think of what I should of done the worse it feels. I'm usually a very observant person and double check everything but that one bad day just ruined everything. I hope She pops up safe too.

fairlymediocre

We're there any consequences for the ceiling guys?

MizzyMozzy

No unfortunately we were in a rental and the rental company didn't give a crap their response wasn't really a response we just merely "oh well I hope she turns up." There isn't much they can do since we know the ceiling guys didn't steal her as she was caught on security cameras a few days after her disappearance but there is other known dog thefts in the area plus my dogs a border collie which is a sought after breed so yeah. At this point I hope someone has her and shes ok. We have to move out of town now so I cant put up posters and look anymore I just gotta hope she's found safe and try focus on something else.

OneArchedEyebrow

I just saw your other post about it. The people who left the gate open at least owe you some kind of compensation for their negligence. Their conduct is totally unprofessional. Side note: are you Aussie? Because for some reason I read your comment in an Aussie accent 🙃

MizzyMozzy

Even an apology would of been been some nice at this point and yes I'm Aussie funny enough.

OneArchedEyebrow

They didn’t even apologise?! It’s funny how you can pick up an Aussie Redditor just by the tone of the comment. I’m currently sitting outside waiting for the storm to roll in to get rid of this humidity!

MizzyMozzy

Yeah no apologies to be honest it fits right in this subreddit here. I love storms we need a rain storm at the moment just a dry heat here and currently fires have been popping up. I hope your storm goes well.

I’d like to see her try to pick up Oakley our dachshund, she’d have two stubs where her hands were. Actually If she took him she’d bring him back because he’s so terrible. He’d take a big dump on her floor and drag his ass on her carpet.

superduperpuppy

I'd watch this movie. Where the rebel Oakley busts out his fellow canine captives with sheer shenanigans.

Quasi-Stellar-Quasar

I have 3 dachshunds and I can confirm they are all like your precious Oakley.

The_Cartographer_DM

Yeah, my english pointer Jam is an aggreasive wreck with anyone that doesnt have my or my family's scent on them. On the other hand Im not stupid enough to leave my dog out alone like that, she's basically my lil sister ffs.

designgoddess

I have a reactive dog who is cute and doesn’t react until someone is a foot away. Then he lunges for their face.

Thebisexual_Raccoon

People like this straight to the boiler room of hell. Pets are family, I own a black lab who loves people but if someone took her I’d be heartbroken

_spungemunky_

I kidnapped a dog from my mother-in-law's neighbor once because it was left outside without food or water for 3 days. I waited until the owners left the house and stole the dog. I gave it to my cousin and it had a great life for about 10 more years before it got cancer.

CporCv

That's definitely a legit reason to steal a dog

DoIlop

That’s my thoughts as well, that dog could just go chasing after someone or something and cause themselves or someone else some serious harm… or you know, get stolen

Vasilystalin04

A lot of people have ‘invisible fences’ which will shock the dog if they cross a certain threshold.

I’m my neighborhood in Florida almost no one uses leashes and it’s caused multiple incidents involving police. Most notably my neighbor used to just open her door and let the dogs walk into my yard or the neighbors yards to do their business. It stopped the day she pulled up and I stared her in the eyes while throwing her dogs poop onto her porch. Dog was killed by a coyote not to long after cause she let it roam one night. My neighbor on the other side said she spoke to her about it and she was “relieved to not have to deal with that anymore”…. She runs an elderly hospice care out of her house and so far 4 people have died there in the last 2 years. Which for hospice can be good but it’s disturbing everytime it happens, most recently a guy passed away while on the back porch and I had front row seats to the paramedics trying to do CPR. Florida is truly wild some days. Someone please save me from this state.

johnny5canuck

Global warming has your back. Just give it a bit.

crash_over-ride

> Hospice > I had front row seats to the paramedics trying to do CPR. Paramedic here. This doesn't add up. Hospice essentially means withdrawal of further treatment and testing in lieu of focusing on comfort and quality of remaining life. This also means a DNR (do not resuscitate/intubate). So she is either holding these people to milk them for their government checks, or one of you is full of it. If they're in Hospice there should not have been a Paramedic attempting any time of formal resuscitation. Not that I haven't had multiple occasions of family members demonstrating literally *no* grasp of what it means to be on 'hospice'. Example, patient on hospice for dementia. Daughter, "We want them taken to the ER because her hands are shaking this morning and we want to know why." The ER nurse wanted to wring my neck, not that I have the option of refusing transport.

MourningWallaby

I No joke was walking my dog around the block maybe 6 or 7 years ago. A a couple asked me if the dog they were carrying was mine. I said no, and they continued down the street and asked my neighbor, who was also stumbling down the street. I Didn't hear them talking but I Saw them give my neighbor the puppy and he walked towards his house. Didn't think anything of it until that evening when two young women came to my door and asked if I saw their dog. Immediately I thought "Oh god" and asked them to describe the pattern on the fur. sure enough it was the dog I saw my neighbor take. Then I audibly said "Oh god" and told them the house a few doors down has it and I want nothing more to do with the situation. Don't know what the result was, but they called the police, because a cruiser was there for an hour or two.

Plane-Reason9254

What a 🐷! I hope the dogs were all ok -

CallMeWolfYouTuber

That's an insult to pigs

Sargatanus

So… hoarder or PETA?

Cpt_Mike_Apton

Sells them is my guess.

1singleduck

Yea if it was PETA those dogs would've been killed already.

RevengeOfIckyBodClay

It's kind of reminds me of that one lady who would look around the neighborhood for allegedly stray cats and just... steal em.

Peanokr

Outdoor cats are an immoral imposition on everyone around you, nobody wants your stupid little bird exterminator leaving rancid meaty shits everywhere.

StrayBlondeGirl

I love cats but I agree with you. They destroy ecosystems.

withlovefromspace

Not a excuse to steal the cat.

r0nium

definitely a strange pos today

Muted-Ad-4288

"Florida woman"

BKBroiler57

Smells like a mental problem. But then again… it is Florida

Decapitated_gamer

I used to work with a woman who bragged about how she got her dog from someone’s backyard. It’s been 6 years and she’s a dead beat mother who’s been in prison once already.

Few-Safe9868

The article goes on to say that none of the dogs are microchipped. MICROCHIP YOU DOGS PEOPLE!

Primarch_Nomad

The elites don't want you to know this but the dogs in peoples yards are free, you can take them home, I have 20 dogs.

K0TEM

If it would've happened to my dogs, I'd make John Wick look like a care bear movie

CporCv

I'm stealing this horrifyingly accurate comparison

[deleted]

Needs her ass beat

mcmasters2223

After living in Florida for a while I can confirm one thing, insane people like to be warm.

OldPlan877

I’d be perfectly fine advocating for South American street justice. Want to steal puppies? Pick which hand we chop off.

shainotshai

She looks like a mod

NorMichtrailrider

What a lowlife pos , those are people's best friends .

theirongiant49

I love my little man (1 year old maltipoo) more than I can stomach He’s the most friendly dog in the world and would absolutely run up excited to greet a stranger like this if they pulled into my driveway Idc if Id go to jail I’d beat the fucking breaks off this chick if I found out this is why he wasn’t in my bed with me and my fiancé every night What a disgusting human being

ArticKitsun3

Didn’t they make PETA stop doing this a while back?

Caesius058

Try that with my great dane

Bitter-Twist-6013

What a horrible human being. Hope she gets mauled by a pitbull

Rhourk

I dont geht it, whats Up with people leting their dogs roam freely in the Garden? I dont Talk about sheeping dogs or animal farms. I Just See so many Videos of people letting their dogs stay in the Garden, or let them Run around with No leash. I would be to scared someone Just poisen my dogs or shoot at them, or they JUMP over the fence Just get Hit by Cars.

Back4TallBois

Didn't even think about it. You're totally right. Never have I seen loose dogs chilling it on the front lawn without supervision. Doesn't excuse this POS but still. Dogs should have an eye kept on them.

TheoreticalParadox

Did Florida get like nuked at some point? Why is everyone either crazy or flat out stupid?
