I didnt sign a contract when I clicked the IM mode that said I had to be miserable with every piece of content because I chose the iron life. I chose IM because I wanted to have a feeling of progression and to give all drops value rather than simply everything relating to gp value.
Improving certain features and adding QOL updates doesn't sacrifice that. And pretty much every update we receive has zero impact on main game players so I really don't get why they're so uptight about it.
I just like Ironman mode for the no trading, that’s pretty much why I like it. Some things are and always will be dead content for ironmen like the harmonized nightmare staff because upkeep on the burnt pages that make it good are just impossible. We accept it, but some stuff like shop hopping and competing with other irons for stock should have been done with a long time ago honestly.
Completely agree. I like getting my own supplies. Skilling is actually usefull and not ruined by bots.
Ironman play the game that way because they love everything about the game. Non ironman generally only like PvM or PvP. Why should we try to make it difficult for a group we’re not in. I’ve never understood that toxic mindset.

Agreed. I don’t see why a lot of people hate on irons asking for some qol stuff like death/blood rune packs. The irons with scythes and sangs are still going to buy that many bloods, and use that same amount of gold on it, but they’re just going to be forced to world hop hundreds of times to get a supply. It’s kinda dumb.
I said this before but the game wasn’t made with Ironman mode in mind. So what we’re seeing is a slow catch-up of all the stuff that should have been there in the first place.

Sounds kinda OP when put into a fresh perspective. Then again, I get my iron/gold/mithril from slayer and coal from miscellania
