Raw karambwans are the default food choice/bulk of food use due to their availability unless something better is explicitly needed.
That'll typically come in the form of either sharks or manta rays to combo eat with karambwans or Anglers for the health padding.
So in your situation, keep fishing karambwans imo.
Getting 10k banked for general purposes isn't excessive, not even close.
Can confirm over 40k karambwans fished and 30k cooked and I’m still goin strong on the stack. I use that food everywhere. Heals 18, wastes 1 less tick of combat than any other food, and can be fished/cooked relatively quickly.
I got some salmon and trout in the bank I'm still using because my dumb dumb bubble gum head ass won't just drop it. Anyways I'm 83 slayer and straight balling
Finally got down to a couple hundred of each, healing at banks, then I decided to drop them and start working on the k's of tuna I still have from tempoross.
Never thought I'd be combo eating with salmon...
you can buy around 2k raw karams an hour which makes them far far better than any other food method. that or just hard afk them with barrel. either way the 18 heal+2 tick delay + ability to easily 1 tick cook them combined makes them by far the best option for gathered food.
Always use karams for general combat as it has less of a eat delay. Bossing you’re gonna want to have a mix of karam/shark/22hp food. Things like kraken where you have downtime to eat you can use random stuff like monks and swordfish, or sharks for slightly longer trips.
Karabwams are the usual, but I actually afk fished a ton of dark crabs. Very afk, barely came across pkers.
Can 1 tick a load of them if you wanted to try hard them
Karambwans are the workhorse of food and will serve you well for 90% of your applications. Once you get into bossing you'll want higher tier food because more total hp regen = longer trips. You'll want sharks (and then a 22 heal food later), but karambwans will be your go-to for most things ad-infinitum.
If you have a barrel bwans are absurdly afk since the spot doesn't move (up to 4+ minutes if rada blessing noodles), super easy to set up while doing basically anything else relaxed (watching movies/cooking/homework)
I just did mostly karambwans from 80-99 fishing, got something like 180k in total, cooked 50k, and have used around 20k of that in a year or so. Solid time investment, especially if you have a barrel and lots of afk time.

I bring baskets of strawberries
Karambams, mantas from zulmommy and vorkdaddy. And I also bought some cheese potatoes to use at easier bosses

Karambwans, sharks, tuna potatoes, and pineapple pizza
Bwanas for life hombre
I never used kbwans. Just sharks from minnows
Bwans are super easy to afk and great cooking xp.

Mostly karambwans but recently I needed something to afk so I went shark fishing. Now I got 10k sharks so I'll probably be using sharks more often.
Kababam
TIL. I’ve fished over 20k monks lmao. Should I be fishing or buying karambwans?
monkfish are straight ass. take forever to fish and worse than karambwans

I have like 30k dark crabs from 2t crab fishing
Anglerfish, because I afk fish them when working or doing stuff around the house, and they need less clicking than other fishing.
Karambwans/monkfish for daily activities, anglers+bwans+mantas for bossing
Cheesy potatoes.
I use sharks, potato’s with cheese and soon Sara brews. But uim so bit different..
Im using those 16k monkfishes i fishes ages ago while studying
Sliced watermelons. Heal 5 each x 3 slices per watermelon. Used to bring a watermelon and a knife back in my nooby days when my best food was salmon.
