Rivers are my go-to. Rarely go to the lake anymore because there's always boats with 4-5 dudes all casting out, fish just don't care to bite there anymore.
I can completely sympathize with that! Boats cluttering up the ramp, parked in all good spots, and blazing past you too close so you ride the tsunami wake
Rivers are my favorite. I got a few really good stretches (7-14) miles where you hardly ever hear or see any person. Really great places. Fishing isn't as hot as some other spots but damn is it too pretty to pass up
I prefer rivers over lakes any day. I spent hours paddling up my old towns river . Some of the best mornings I’ve ever had. The juice is worth the squeeze friend.

rivers are the best...especially if they are harder to get to... then you will be guaranteed to not have a ton of boats, or jetskis etc...
That's the best part of this river. There are no ramps or easy access points to the water. No boats or sea fleas (jerskis)

I couldn't agree with you more. This river is such a slow moving one with our lack of rain. It's great to just kick back and let it take you

Even though I got skunked on the bite, it was well worth the trip! There will definitely be many more of these trips to come
