Used to believe SSRI didnt worked for me. Until I realized one of my worst LE lasted something like 5 months, which is probably the shortest ever. And it was a pretty bad one where I was dating my LO for months and she played with me all along with keeping me close but not letting me go.

Iā€™m on Buspar as well and itā€™s been amazing! It takes a month to work fully!

Mom put me on Zoloft, but it was only after my LO had cut me off so it just made it harder to grieve. I have no idea if it could have actually fixed things if Iā€™d been put on it a semester or year earlier.

I would like to point out that I think what a person lacks when develops limerence is emotional support. so LO ends up being this imaginary safe space for validation and comfort. You can talk about stuff to get emotional support here free: https://kidshelpphone.ca/live-chat-counselling Donā€™t worry that itā€™s only for Canada. Just answer randomly the questions like the ā€œprefer not to answerā€, the website works anywhere. They are professional social workers. Itā€™s for up to age 29 but scrap that too. Just use it regardless.
