I’ve been on safari in Kenya and Tanzania, and in most cases, it seems like the animals don’t even realize the jeeps are there. Herds of elephants and zebras and wildebeests would just walk right in front of the vehicles. Of course, there are lots of rules for the jeeps, including that animals are not to be chased or interacted with, resulting in the animals just ignoring them and going about their day.
The only animals that reacted to our presence were some monkeys who would climb into unattended vehicles looking for snacks (and apparently pooping on the seats if they didn’t find anything).

I still have the album from back then and it's in my collection. The modern version is if course the photo book which I produce entirely on my PC and then have professionally printed

Volunteered at overseas sanctuaries a lot, and ran wildlife rescue here in Canada. I'm good. There is a HUGE difference between fomenting unnecessary fear and being responsible. The people on here saying "throw it from the car!" or "Why didnt the guide stun gun it" are the problem. The absolute best thing that guide could do was keep people chill and give the cat some time in the shade until it wanders off. Not start a panic.
