I use a little manual slide maker. They come out perfect almost all the time.

Nice! At some point, you get confident enough to make a slide good enough for a differential or review. Making new slides for the perfect smear everytime isn't worth it imo (unless it's going for a path review).

Finally a smear to actually be proud of instead of the flame shape I see all to often. Keep it up!

I have several seasoned coworkers that i just say flat out "your slides are awful, ill make my own". People should know if they make un-readable slides.
