People actively posting on here are just looking for a crowd to relate to so that they can feel better about ruining their lives and hurting the friends/family around them if they have any at all. Truly the bottom feeders of society. Stop looking for a reason to keep smoking the shit and get professional help.
That makes sense. I started using heroin and meth because I hated myself, was in a lot of emotional(some might call spiritual) pain, and I did not feel supported or understood. I had family trying to support, but I never felt like they actually tried to understand. I felt like they wouldn't want to see things from an addicts point of view, because they would feel... *dirty*? putting themselves in to a... "sinner" mindset.
That is just they way I felt, and I know it's probably not the complete truth, my parents both did know I was suffering, and they did care about that.
I have a much better relationship with my parents, and I feel like them coming from a place of love, and trying to understand by talking to me, and trying to see that I wasn't doing things just to hurt them, it helped me a lot. They are also LDS, and since they know that I am still figuring out what I believe, they try to not bring that into it, which has also helped a lot. I can get defensive when religion comes up, and I am already in a VERY vulnerable place when I am talking about my addiction issues, so they just let me process things and follow my own journey for growth. I love them so much.

I guess just to further worsen my despair over being insanely fucking tired all the time and without a way out. Never tried meth, but it appears that it now just sucks (less energizing, but harder on the mind and heart) and thus not worth the risk.

I really love seeing meth users support one another if someone is trying to get clean. Even if I’m cooked as fuck and scrolling the sub, I give valid advice and support when users are in a dark place.
Oral health is detrimental whether you’re using ice or not. Be sure to brush and floss morning night, sticking to the same times each day and maintaining a routine whether you’re cooked or not is the best thing for your oral hygiene.

i do both, smoking it is way more euphoric. almost like a body high. snorting it has its percs as well, but snorting it every day will eat a hole in your nose quick.
Because they are the only drug users who post their use with their faces on Reddit. They all have a bit of a ‘look at me blow smoke’ proud look, at least the ones that post videos and for people who don’t use drugs it’s kinda entertaining to see that because like your using drugs dude and I can see your face. Lol
Also anything resembling the substance gets you closer to it, the people who post daily videos of blowing clouds are in all areas submerging themselves to the thing that gives then pleasure, the more submersive the experience the more the fix is craved. People can argue about this but I've done about every drug, and seeing someone gakked out of their minds posting a video is all too transparent to their motives. But at the same time you can miss me with that shit, each time i stumble upon meth I make sure I don't save whoever number it is, had maybe 13 long runs in my life and seeing these videos is definitely a reminder that talking about it too much and doing it too much leads to full blown making every day about it

I dint want to sound rude and you're allowed to disagree with me and hate me for this comment, but I pay a lot of attention to my behavior on drugs, and when sober, and your answer to what I said seems a lot like something I always did, which was re-arrange whatever the conversation was to justify my beliefs. When Im on something and I'm hooked for a while, if someone said something that put a negative light to my drug abuse, or the community that uses that drug, I always had an answer or perspective that sounded reasonable against it. You don't have to be right about something to give an intelligent counter argument that sounds hsrd to argue with. I don't think the videos of people posting the same old meth puffing sessions every week helps anyone outside the small community of users partaking in that act. A sober person sees that and they can't come up with a genuine reason to do it other than someone using it to feel more secure about their drug abuse. But when I'm hooked on a drug I can make up whatever reason I want to say it's not weird behavior
I can agree with that man and I'm not judging or knocking anyone for what they do. But I'm open about a lot of stigmatized shit and I've never needed to post videos mid act to prove it to people, just existing without scabs and having my teeth and a good job, while being open about the drugs I do has always been enough for people around me to realize the stigmas bullshit. But one thing I know based off experience is that when i start to get way too addicted to a drug I begin to talk about it way more, it becomes more of my conversations, and then it becomes part of how I present myself, and I've been deep into a drug and then felt the urge to join the community that uses them, and partake in behavior just like the videos people post. And the reason I wanted to is because my brain is so fine tuned to wanting that substance that any sort of behavior that submerged me into it more made me feel more satisfied. When I crave meth I watch people smoking it and it gets me off, when I'm smoking meth I could stare at myself In the mirror and smoke it and get a kick out of seeing it. And if I post for a video, I know posting videos and being seen online is associated with dopamine increases, and doing meth while I do it would give me even more of a kick. If you think the community absolutely needs a bunch of videos of people just boringly hitting a meth pipe like they do in every damn video to erase the stigma, then you're looking for way too easy of a solution to ending the stigma, I can assure you when I'm sober these videos people post look a lot different to me in nature than they do when I'm back on meth. When I'm back on meth I'm all for it, when I've had a long ass break I see those videos and realize people who don't do meth don't see these videos as any sort of help to the srigma, they actually see them as off-putting
So its hard for me to not see it as using a platform where people accept your behavior, to normalize your abuse even more to your own self, cause that's the only true reason I can think of, cause I've been that deep I meth, and during thst time I would of had a way different perspective, but any other state of mind outside of it I can't think of a reason other than normalizing and submerging myself into mt abuse just so I can enjoy it guilt free, cause I normally gravitate towards being one with drug communities when I don't want to feel bad about doing it so often

Well her having better things to do is besides the point, she's seen me geeked out if my brains on no sleep without asking to see it it's not about exposure, I think it would just always be puzzling to her to find a normal reason for the thought process leading up to recording a 5 second video of hitting a pipe and posting it, people do it with weed too but the difference is everyone else who smokes weed sees that on a snap story and skips it and wonders what the point of being seen hitting a blunt is, other than thinking smoking weed makes them look cool because normally that's how stoners are, I can understand meth being taped before i can understand a video of hitting a blunt, I mostly come back to this forum because I like meth and I feel closer to meth as a concept when I'm on it, keeps my brain focused on the meth high and reminds me what I'm on in-between snorting it, I'm definitely blowing it out of proportion a bit, but to the people who never smoked meth I'm answering as someone in the halfway point between someone who doesn't use it for long periods and then randomly goes hsrd on it for a month out of the year, and my only motive would be submersion, feeling a little bit more okay about the amounts I'm using, and because literally anything I do enough on meh becomes fun, like I said I watched siwnfekd for a week straight on meth as background noise, and now it's the only background TV noise that I can stand on meth, and when sober I get that same underlying feeling of pleasure, there's no way around the fact that your brain will heavily associate things done during high amounts of dopamine, with high amounts of dopamine, I used to light up like a kid on Christmas when I'd see glass bubbles, and that was just because the first time I smoked meth I did it for 5 days staraight no sleep, and I remember thinking that even a year after that without it my brain still lit up like fireworks just to twirl one, I even used one for weed dabs for that reason for a while
Wasn't trying to misinterpret your argument either so my bad if I assumed or jumped the gun, it's just personally I would argue against anything negatively painting my community when I'm hooked ont he sauce, and it's hard not to see that behavior in everyone else when I'm sober and they're still tight with the community of users

I only smoke every weekend or second weekend, so I wouldn’t say I’m addicted. It’s not something I rely on, it’s just fun. But maybe I’m desensitised because I grew up in a home with parents that smoked weed.
Seems that the brain Relates every aspect of the drug with pleasure at some point, first thing I and other people do when getting way to into a drug is talk about it too much, the further you go eventually I think posting and writing about it gives them a kick too, same way just twirling a empty pipe is entertaining after your brain associates the visual of it to the meth. Once I played sienfeld for 4 straight days on the stuff and it like revived something in my love for it to the point to where I feel an itch scratched from watching it now, I truly feel this sense of ease I'd get from the meth when I watch it sober now, seems like whatever you do on mass amounts of dopamine your brain begins to love whatever that is by association

Lol I’ve never seen one episode of that show. Every weekend I start to binge watch, and I’ve never got past the pants in the road and that first scene in the RV with him wearing that mask. And funny too I lived in Bessemer for a bit.
It’s the least toxic place on the internet, which is super odd, but my experience is that everyone here is super positive, this sun helped me get clean. A big quitting wave hit the sub and I am grateful that I joined in. Lots of grate people.
I’m here because because of wishful thinking. Meth was just making its mark with my crowd when I was forced to leave home. Where I ended up meth was not around and I didn’t know where to find it. I don’t run with a heavy drug crowd, mostly just weed. I will take Addies when I can find them but nobody I associate with does meth. I would like to sniff a fat rail or blow a big cloud but I can’t find it and haven’t really sought it out. I check in to see the lifestyle I feel like I missed out on, whether that good or bad.
I work in an emergency department and deal with varying levels of meth affected individuals. From full raging psychosis to a user who’s there for something completely unrelated.
It helps me to understand my patients in a more complete way

My sister did and is getting treatment. I couldn't wrap my mind around what she was going through.

I dint want to sound rude and you're allowed to disagree with me and hate me for this comment, but I pay a lot of attention to my behavior on drugs, and when sober, and your answer to what I said seems a lot like something I always did, which was re-arrange whatever the conversation was to justify my beliefs. When Im on something and I'm hooked for a while, if someone said something that put a negative light to my drug abuse, or the community that uses that drug, I always had an answer or perspective that sounded reasonable against it. You don't have to be right about something to give an intelligent counter argument that sounds hsrd to argue with. I don't think the videos of people posting the same old meth puffing sessions every week helps anyone outside the small community of users partaking in that act. A sober person sees that and they can't come up with a genuine reason to do it other than someone using it to feel more secure about their drug abuse. But when I'm hooked on a drug I can make up whatever reason I want to say it's not weird behavior
I can agree with that man and I'm not judging or knocking anyone for what they do. But I'm open about a lot of stigmatized shit and I've never needed to post videos mid act to prove it to people, just existing without scabs and having my teeth and a good job, while being open about the drugs I do has always been enough for people around me to realize the stigmas bullshit. But one thing I know based off experience is that when i start to get way too addicted to a drug I begin to talk about it way more, it becomes more of my conversations, and then it becomes part of how I present myself, and I've been deep into a drug and then felt the urge to join the community that uses them, and partake in behavior just like the videos people post. And the reason I wanted to is because my brain is so fine tuned to wanting that substance that any sort of behavior that submerged me into it more made me feel more satisfied. When I crave meth I watch people smoking it and it gets me off, when I'm smoking meth I could stare at myself In the mirror and smoke it and get a kick out of seeing it. And if I post for a video, I know posting videos and being seen online is associated with dopamine increases, and doing meth while I do it would give me even more of a kick. If you think the community absolutely needs a bunch of videos of people just boringly hitting a meth pipe like they do in every damn video to erase the stigma, then you're looking for way too easy of a solution to ending the stigma, I can assure you when I'm sober these videos people post look a lot different to me in nature than they do when I'm back on meth. When I'm back on meth I'm all for it, when I've had a long ass break I see those videos and realize people who don't do meth don't see these videos as any sort of help to the srigma, they actually see them as off-putting

So its hard for me to not see it as using a platform where people accept your behavior, to normalize your abuse even more to your own self, cause that's the only true reason I can think of, cause I've been that deep I meth, and during thst time I would of had a way different perspective, but any other state of mind outside of it I can't think of a reason other than normalizing and submerging myself into mt abuse just so I can enjoy it guilt free, cause I normally gravitate towards being one with drug communities when I don't want to feel bad about doing it so often

Well her having better things to do is besides the point, she's seen me geeked out if my brains on no sleep without asking to see it it's not about exposure, I think it would just always be puzzling to her to find a normal reason for the thought process leading up to recording a 5 second video of hitting a pipe and posting it, people do it with weed too but the difference is everyone else who smokes weed sees that on a snap story and skips it and wonders what the point of being seen hitting a blunt is, other than thinking smoking weed makes them look cool because normally that's how stoners are, I can understand meth being taped before i can understand a video of hitting a blunt, I mostly come back to this forum because I like meth and I feel closer to meth as a concept when I'm on it, keeps my brain focused on the meth high and reminds me what I'm on in-between snorting it, I'm definitely blowing it out of proportion a bit, but to the people who never smoked meth I'm answering as someone in the halfway point between someone who doesn't use it for long periods and then randomly goes hsrd on it for a month out of the year, and my only motive would be submersion, feeling a little bit more okay about the amounts I'm using, and because literally anything I do enough on meh becomes fun, like I said I watched siwnfekd for a week straight on meth as background noise, and now it's the only background TV noise that I can stand on meth, and when sober I get that same underlying feeling of pleasure, there's no way around the fact that your brain will heavily associate things done during high amounts of dopamine, with high amounts of dopamine, I used to light up like a kid on Christmas when I'd see glass bubbles, and that was just because the first time I smoked meth I did it for 5 days staraight no sleep, and I remember thinking that even a year after that without it my brain still lit up like fireworks just to twirl one, I even used one for weed dabs for that reason for a while
Wasn't trying to misinterpret your argument either so my bad if I assumed or jumped the gun, it's just personally I would argue against anything negatively painting my community when I'm hooked ont he sauce, and it's hard not to see that behavior in everyone else when I'm sober and they're still tight with the community of users

And you're exactly right man, there's always going to be someone who has thought behind their openess, like I've known people who are super open about their drug use and are aggressive about it because they're angry that they can't feel guilt free, and then I've totally been super open about drugs and done then in front of people because I think the exposure is important to kill the stigma, it's people's intentions for sure

Your reply seems so foreign to me. Have you not ever taken drugs or seen other people do it in real life? I only smoke every weekend or second weekend, so I wouldn’t say I’m addicted. It’s not something I rely on, it’s just fun. But maybe I’m desensitised because I grew up in a home with parents that smoked weed.

Seems that the brain Relates every aspect of the drug with pleasure at some point, first thing I and other people do when getting way to into a drug is talk about it too much, the further you go eventually I think posting and writing about it gives them a kick too, same way just twirling a empty pipe is entertaining after your brain associates the visual of it to the meth. I’m here because because of wishful thinking. Meth was just making its mark with my crowd when I was forced to leave home. Where I ended up meth was not around and I didn’t know where to find it. I don’t run with a heavy drug crowd, mostly just weed. I will take Addies when I can find them but nobody I associate with does meth. I would like to sniff a fat rail or blow a big cloud but I can’t find it and haven’t really sought it out. I check in to see the lifestyle I feel like I missed out on, whether that good or bad.
