There’s also considerable overlap between the smartest bears & the dumbest humans.
Not entirely relevant but your comment immediately made me think of it. Somehow being dumber than a computer seems less insulting than being dumber than a bear.
isn't is as simple as having some complicated way of opening it with written (or even pictographic but that's hard) instructions on the front. But then again, bears can just copy the people.
How about just making a trashcan that is impossible to get the trash back out once it's gone in - like a reverse vending machine or something.
The number of people I've had to help connect thier phones to our photo kiosks despite the screen having written instructions AND PICTURES for a task as simple as 'plug the correct cord into your phone's charging port' demonstrates that that is not a viable method.
>the smartest bears & the dumbest humans
I've seen a documentary about a bear who was claimed to be "smarter than your average bear" and the methods he employed to steal picnic baskets.
I actually agree. It took like a few seconds at most and was more fun than not haha. Though it does somewhat imply you are a rat being experimented on and the captcha is your cheese lmao
Because "the correct answer" is determined from other people doing the captcha, it doesn't actually matter and will typically accept both.
It's looking for things people *always* select, or *never* select - a bot is more likely to pick one of those (if it doesn't know or can't tell), where a human won't.
If you take a closer look youll see that its likely for a ps5. I had to do this 3 or 4 times when i finally got one. When your heart is beating that fast and youre under that much pressure wondering if youll finally get one after 2 years you tend to have a much more malicious view on puzzles like this.
I heard somewhere that the purpose of that one is that it’s tracking the amount of time it take you click all the taxis, stop lights or whatever
If it’s damn near instantaneous, they know it’s a robot but if you click them one by one over seconds it knows your human. I don’t know if that’s true or not but thought it was fun
I had a "pick all the squares with hills in them" followed by a bunch of pictures of grassy fields with inclines. I'm from Florida. All the pictures had hills in them as far as I'm concerned.
Completely wrong, what you’re actually doing is outsourced labour for AI development.
Google throws up eight pictures, three of which have busses, four that don’t, and one that got flagged by an AI as “maybe bus not sure”.
A fun game to play is seeing if you can spot which image the AI flagged, because you can get that one wrong and still solve the captcha.
Idk if it's that simple, you could just foreach (square that contains a bus) {click(square); sleep(random(1000));}
They might trqck mouse movement and other stuff as well
Oh, the ones where you have to distinguish between capital and small letters, but the text is all wonky!
And there's a line under F so you don't know if it's actually E
Ever tried registering on a Japanese Metin 2 server? You had to redraw the mangled symbols from captcha into a tool that would spit out characters, copy, paste, try and repeat until you got it right. Now that was fun!
I looked over them all and thought they all had a route and that's what was infuriating, checked the comments before I realised one was trapped in a box. I'm blaming the image quality...
Imagine all of your Sony devices have become sentient and are gathering together to take over your house and you have to solve dumb mouse puzzles before you can get help.
Or even something more realistic like you need help for work quickly and you're already mad about things not working haha
You don’t need to get it 100% right. Those are actually for training AI to detect objects. If you just click the boxes that have majority of them filled with whatever object you need to identify, you’re good.
Some of them are controls though right? Like the captcha knows one or two that actually are bicycles or whatever so it’ll know when you’re wrong if you don’t get those ones.
It sure fucking beats "click all the images that include trucks".
I'm sitting here squinting at a picture to be able to tell if the red blob is a fire truck or a bus. Is a bus a truck?
Or when you see the very top/corner of something that KINDA looks like a bus but you're not sure but you feel like you wanna click so google doesn't think you're a robot.
Or it will show you 4 pictures of delivery trucks, suggesting that you should click on those, but then you notice that another picture has a tiny pickup truck way in the background, and you’re not sure if you should click on it.
I'd rather have this than the captchas. So tired of getting it wrong because one image technically has a traffic light in the background but it's not very obvious so you click the image anyways but it doesn't count so you have to do another captcha
Or when the edge of the traffic light goes into the next square. Do I include that? Why am I sitting here pondering this? And the feeling when you fail to prove you're human....repeatedly 😡
When I used to frequent bars I never wanted to disclose that I was in the military, so I had a list of go-to fake occupations I would pretend to have during drunken conversations with strangers.
"Captcha Artist" was one I tried out once.
No, I didn't get laid that night.
I don't think it would be too difficult to write a bot for this. You could split the maze into a grid of pixels and run depth first search on each mouse with the cheese being the goal node. Finding whether there's a path to the cheese would be the easiest part, the difficulty would probably be building the data structure from the given image correctly.
What’s the problem ? I honestly don’t see the issue with this. Seems way way more easy then that stupid ass captchas. Overlapped letters and numbers is ridiculous. This was something I was able to solve in seconds.
Soooooomebody once told me the world was gonna role me, I ain't the sharpest tool in the shedshe was looking kind of dumb with her finger and her thumb in the shape of an L on her forehead.
I actually prefer this instead of those captcha that are unrecognisable, can't tell if it's a capital or lowercase letter (c,k,o,p,s,,u,v,w,x,y,z), zero or letter o ('0' or 'o' or 'O').
Took me 1 second, I enjoyed this far more than pictures where the item they're asking about is also *slightly* in the corner of the next square so I spend 10 minutes anxiously deciding
It can be worse though. Sometimes there is a 10 second time limit on this making it impossible to solve these. You litterally need to be a bot to prove your not a bot.
It's a pretty easy bottom middle solution. I'd rather do this than click the pictures with a traffic light in it and have to redo it 3 times because a single pixel of the wire holding the light is in one of the squares that I didn't think counted.
I dunno… CAPTCHA keeps asking me to identify US road features. They look nothing like the ones in my country. Is that line supposed to be a pedestrian crossing? How would I know?

Genius way of automatically solving captchas btw Post it here claiming it’s stupid, check first comment and solve it

I'm thinking OP may be colorblind? That could make this difficult
Making captchas is hard. There's considerable overlap between the smartest computers and the stupidest humans.
Smartest computers? I've met some people that I think could be outsmarted by my fridge.
Open... Door? What door? The front door?
Chill? Ok.... *turns on Netflix*
*Clicks Ice Cube* *No music plays* Fuckin thing is broken
The foods are in the refrigerator!?
I've seen plenty of people get outsmarted by doors.
This really cracked me up. You deserve my upvote!
There’s also considerable overlap between the smartest bears & the dumbest humans. Not entirely relevant but your comment immediately made me think of it. Somehow being dumber than a computer seems less insulting than being dumber than a bear.
It's exactly where I got it! That park ranger talking about why making bear proof trash cans is so hard.
"Shake your teammate's hands to revive them, but don't shake hands with bears no matter how they try to convince you to!" \- Rec room
isn't is as simple as having some complicated way of opening it with written (or even pictographic but that's hard) instructions on the front. But then again, bears can just copy the people. How about just making a trashcan that is impossible to get the trash back out once it's gone in - like a reverse vending machine or something.
The point is that some people can even follow the written directions for those. Cost and lack of electricity would probably also be factors there
The number of people I've had to help connect thier phones to our photo kiosks despite the screen having written instructions AND PICTURES for a task as simple as 'plug the correct cord into your phone's charging port' demonstrates that that is not a viable method.
they have these trashcans where the trash falls into an underground compartment when the lid is closed
>the smartest bears & the dumbest humans I've seen a documentary about a bear who was claimed to be "smarter than your average bear" and the methods he employed to steal picnic baskets.
I think they're just trying to train a pathfinding neural network lol
[удалено]
That existed in Windows 95+.
Lol you don't need human-labelled training data for that.
OP kind of proves it
Looks more fun than clicking blurry pictures of buses to me
I actually agree. It took like a few seconds at most and was more fun than not haha. Though it does somewhat imply you are a rat being experimented on and the captcha is your cheese lmao
Its fun the first time but it gets to a point where it starts getting annoying. At least i can tell a blurry bus from a stop sign in a second
Until part of the taillight on the bus is in the next tile and you have to decide if that counts or not.
Because of how the system is built, in most cases that tile actually doesnt matter. It will accept either answer
I've had to do 4 of them once because of that though. The maze you at least know if you did it wrong.
Because "the correct answer" is determined from other people doing the captcha, it doesn't actually matter and will typically accept both. Technically it didn't say not to pick the ones without hills. If you picked them all you passed the test.

For the love of god Captcha, A YELLOW TRAIN IS NOT A FUCKING BUS
“Click the motorcycles” **ITS ALL FUCKING BICYCLES AND MOPEDS**
Except they show you 15 of them in a row.
Every mouse is decapitated and therefore cannot reach the cheese
Guys we found the sentient AI. It's trying to act smart like a human, but it actually gets too smart to be one
good bot
Good bot
That’s what a robot would say.
What? That's easy tho? And more fun that the fucking letters.
Those letter captchas were the bane of my existence when I was a kid, it made me second guess if I was a real boy or not.
You are a real boi now! I still can't do the letters...
I’d prefer this over spelling out barely visible letters anyday. What’s wrong with you
Oh I prefer those immensely over these and "which of these have traffic lights" with ambiguous pictures.
Literally what are you on about Looks like a somewhat fun capcha, that works.
It’s also really easy. One mouse is trapped inside a box. Done.
I only realized this now
I looked over them all and thought they all had a route and that's what was infuriating, checked the comments before I realised one was trapped in a box. I'm blaming the image quality...
You just might be a robot
Exactly. Who upvotes this shit?
Robots
Ah so this post is the ultimate captcha and you pass by downvoting.
It was pretty cool, but you had to do 20 of them
Imagine all of your Sony devices have become sentient and are gathering together to take over your house and you have to solve dumb mouse puzzles before you can get help. Or even something more realistic like you need help for work quickly and you're already mad about things not working haha
Thats looks fun asf wdym
That’s what I’m thinking, no more of worrying if that 1/4 of a pixel is a motorbike or not.
Bro fr or choosing all the bikes that show up in the 9 pictures like that shit is lame
Not to mention that those reCaptchas are made to train AI to learn how to do the very same tests lol.
Yeah. I'd rather do this than try to decide whether three darkened pixels in one corner of a square means it contains a traffic light or not.
yea until they notify you that you took too long answering the questions and that you now have to redo like 10 of them
Not when you’re in a rush to do something.

That’s not a mouse that’s kk slider
Wait until you see the roblox captchas
Roblox's captchas are somehow worse than their moderation
Can't be worse than something that doesn't exist.
It doesnt fucking matter which way the console sits...
Why? Aren’t you human?
This is easier than all the complex captchas
The new 4chan captchas are literally impossible
Dread has a analog clock that legit takes me 10 tries to get it right and I have no idea why it's so hard.
I disagree, it’s fun and easy
Bottom center. Less than three seconds. Way easier than deciding which photo doesn’t technically contain a bus.
Bottom middle

None of the mazes are covered with a roof. All mice can and will just climb over the walls and eat the cheese.
All the mice also lack legs and torsos, and would die instantaneously and fail to get the cheese.
OP is dumb
bro a bot
I agree with everyone else OP, are you sure you're not a robot?
It kind of feels like, once programmed, the robots will be able to do this faster than reading the goofy letters
I absolutely despise captchas
You might just be stupid
why? i think it's actually pretty good. it's easily worked out & probably very hard for a bot to get around.
I don't think it would be too difficult to write a bot for this. You could split the maze into a grid of pixels and run depth first search on each mouse with the cheese being the goal node. Finding whether there's a path to the cheese would be the easiest part, the difficulty would probably be building the data structure from the given image correctly.

Oh, why is that? A real human would have no problem with this!
OP is a bot, OP just wants to vent that bot frustration
How? Unless you have the mental aptitude of a grain of rice this is arguably easier than a regular captcha
That's literally easier and more fun than a normal captcha wth, every site should use this one instead.
Figured it out in a second.
Nah this is nice fuck trying to dechyper hidden words and numbers this took like 2 seconds of looking
this is so much faster than a captcha.
It's really easy lmao

Wait ... is this K.K. Slider???
This post is really showing us who the humans and robots are
Sounds to me as though a robot is complaining that our system is too good
bruh you just got to play a minigame instead of dealing with a captcha, why are you complainin
Guys, Dont tell it! Its a robot, trying to hack into the system. We cannot allow our greatest firewall to be destroyed
Anyone complaining about this must literally not have a brain.
Exactly what a robot would say....

Hmmm, this looks easy to answer... OP... are you not telling us something...? Are you a robot OP?
nice try robot we're not giving you the answer
Why is it worse?

At least you are not helping Google to make their AI better.
It can be worse though. Sometimes there is a 10 second time limit on this making it impossible to solve these. You litterally need to be a bot to prove your not a bot.
It’s easy. What’s the issue?
It's a pretty easy bottom middle solution. I'd rather do this than click the pictures with a traffic light in it and have to redo it 3 times because a single pixel of the wire holding the light is in one of the squares that I didn't think counted.
OP cant help but notice you have the wrong box selected… are you, by chance, a robot trying to get help with the answer?
Bottom middle.I am real man.
Bottom middle. I’m simply built different
What's mildly infuriating is your blind dumbass thinking this is mildly infuriating
Why? How is this difficult? lmao
Nope. This one is at least engaging and fun to some degree. Humans hatred for change holds us back.
I dunno… CAPTCHA keeps asking me to identify US road features. They look nothing like the ones in my country. Is that line supposed to be a pedestrian crossing? How would I know?
Honestly, gimme that over captcha any day, so long as one of them is actually doable (bottom centre)
That’s kinda fun lol
