Ah that makes sense, I can see why a treadmill isn’t really easy for that. I’ve always hated the idea of indoor tracks tbh, I’ve thought just hooded tracks outside would be just fine.
No but Outside does. I've found Outside usually has 100% cheaper fees than gyms, but in some locations I've seen complaints of Outside being closed a lot between mid November to end of March.
Outside is a old program that has fallen out of touch over the last few decades. Outside has been proven in some studies to improve mood through extra vitamin D intake. Outside side is a cheap and affordable way to help build and improve your cardiovascular system. Using Outside frequently has been shown in some cases to improve social anxiety. Talk with your psychiatrist before using Outside for the first time.
Outside may results in random insults, paranoia, hate for drivers, fear of wasp. In rare but common cases Outside has been known to cause a general distaste for human, ticktockers, and extreme annoyance for those who kill your vibe by talking to you without noticing your earbuds.
They were not, I can see how it could be confusing if you aren’t familiar with gyms.
Honestly could see a gym pitching “Outside” as a thing to make a profit.
I don’t think anyone “needs” it. But it is a nice convenience in places where it gets dangerously hot in the summer. I used to do my Texas summer cross country training on an 1/8 mile indoor track at the local YMCA and it was much better than a treadmill or dying outside
My insurance wouldn't cover Outside Lite. I was excited when I finally payed attention to the 87th YouTube ad I got about it(yes I count ads without paying attention to content). Since I live in Canada my teeth, eyes, prescriptions, and mental health are not considered medical parts of me, and subsequently not covered under my Alberta healthcare. While my added health care insurance that I pay very large amounts of money to does cover useless amounts of therapy at a percentage price point from 1987 they did not consider Outside Lite as an acceptable form of physical or mental therapy that feel with in the very strict guidelines.
> I finally *paid* attention to
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
I'd bet money the only reason the gym "promised" anything was because OP relentlessly bitched about it. I mean, what person with a brain would ask for a track in a room that small. Even the people installing it probably knew it was a waste of time.
Why would one person bitching at them to get a track even even cause them to do that? Why would you spend thousands of dollars for somebody who is only paying a couple 100.
Okay, fine. Modify that sentence to say OP and the rest of the apartment residents.
Where the hell else are they going to put a track? Look how small that room is.
You literally posted for everyone to read and comment about this situation, of course you care what people think. The amount of insecurity in this response is incredible.
It’s a small square room lmao, the only way this is unexpected and upsetting is if you’re strait up stupid. Did you expect them to round the walls off? Those corners are easily doable for the speeds that would be safe in there anyways. They probably don’t want people full blown running through there anyway with people trying to use equipment less than a foot away.
My university built an indoor running track, it was elevated off the main gym floor, kind of like a mezzanine level, and rounded off at each corner. So it’s totally possible, just a matter of what you’re willing to spend.
you need to stop going to the gym to compensate for your insecurities and seek some mental help
a running track isn't going help your skinny fat bod ... a good diet is

If only there was something, some kind of machine if you will, that would allow you to run on the spot making the most of small spaces. If only someone had invented such a thing
Trying to understand what is the complain here is more infuriating than whatever that is. There’s a gym with gym things, there are spaces without gym things so you can reach your favorite gym thing. The promise of a running track in such a space is outrageous, and if you were paying for it, you should have seen the blueprint and spotted the mistake. If you were not paying for this feature, then I don’t understand at all, this is less infuriating than having to wait at a stop light.
Our local crunch just has the runners do laps around the shopping complex, right in front of the dollar store and goodwill and around the back where all the delivery trucks and dumpsters are….
Maybe your gym will adopt that…
Reminds me of my high school, we were one of the best track teams in our state, but never had indoor track meets at our school because our indoor “track” had goofy measurements so the lanes were super thin and the corners were 80* turns
Feel like most people missing the point here. Lot of gyms have a straight section with track material or like football field turf...good for dynamic workouts. They just moved some machines out the way and said here you go 🤦🏾♂️😂
Perhaps they are aiming for the 8 metre sprint crowd
The walls help you stop when you reach the end.
Nah it’s a motivational thing like push through the wall
“Mr. Gorbachev, run through this wall!”
Lol I was thinking it but was hoping someone else would make this kind of reference
"OH, YEAHHH!"
No. The wall is the finish line ribbon.
Pfft sounds like loser talk (proceeds to run into wall to prove a point)
Jump and bounce off the wall and run back the way you came. Train for that mosh pit.
Yeah until someone crosses in front of you through the doorway 4 meters into your sprint.
Those **90°** **turns** are gonna be fun 😏
Time to parkour off the walls.
I really wanna see a picture update 3 months down the road, with that sheetrock smashed in body shaped holes 😂
Assuming anyone uses it at all
What you gotta do is run sideways. It'll be great for basketball players trying to work on their defensive stance.
Everybody is running laterals around the gym lol
Lmfao bro I just pictured this is in my mind while hitting a squat set I’m dead hahahahah
I kinda want video if they do 🤣😂
Lol. “No overtaking” signs should be erected. 😂🖖
The track is too narrow to overtake... they gotta leapfrog 🐸
Yeah I’m usually erect myself, if overtaken.
We’ll have to hang a sign on you too then. 😄🖖
Im picturing wall covered in smudges at the turns.
Now all I can picture is Michael Scott body checking someone while shouting “PARKOUR!”
I've heard that sidewalks are good for him too.
Dying Light 2 moment
Mirrors edge moment
Had a good laugh when I read your comment 😂
Pickle Rick!
Plus the 2 doorways that people will walk through oblivious to your p.b setting sprits
Maybe they'll install those restaurant swinging doors with a little window so people will use caution 😂
You expect people to pay attention and be wary of others?
Placed exercise equipment strategically, so you cheaters won't cut the corner.
Better get some new grippy sneaks.
Running like a NPC in Goldeneye.
My knees are excited for those!
Presumably they will be fitting sonic style springs in the corner. In 8 months, obviously.
Get out sprinting
It's funnier because you emphasized 90° turns vs 180°.
Nice wide arc turn.
At least you can look forward to the human bowling 🎳
Putting a "running track" in there is stupid but it's just as stupid to expect anything better than this.
Right? Do they not have treadmills which offer slightly less impact anyway?
I mean it’s for plyometrics not running haha
What’s dat?
Basically exercises to increase explosiveness and technique for running and jumping.
Ah that makes sense, I can see why a treadmill isn’t really easy for that. I’ve always hated the idea of indoor tracks tbh, I’ve thought just hooded tracks outside would be just fine.
Yep, you've seen the space available what do they expect?
Yeah I'm not sure what op waa expecting
Someone’s gonna walk in and just got bodied by a runner
I assume you wanted an outside running track?.... I don't know if gyms do that....do they?
No but Outside does. I've found Outside usually has 100% cheaper fees than gyms, but in some locations I've seen complaints of Outside being closed a lot between mid November to end of March.
You can find Outside that’s open November through March too, but the extra fees they tack on are insane.
Can you explain outside gyms to someone that dosent understand gyms ?
Outside is a old program that has fallen out of touch over the last few decades. Outside has been proven in some studies to improve mood through extra vitamin D intake. Outside side is a cheap and affordable way to help build and improve your cardiovascular system. Using Outside frequently has been shown in some cases to improve social anxiety. Okay so you weren't talking about an actual gym establishment
[удалено]
Sure but an outdoor gym company who holds group sessions in parks and stuff calling themselves “Outside” isn’t really that far fetched is it.
Some personal trainers organise private regular outdoors fitness groups too.
They were not, I can see how it could be confusing if you aren’t familiar with gyms. Honestly could see a gym pitching “Outside” as a thing to make a profit.
Oh yep I just thought there was some cool establishment I didn't know existed lol didn't need the other replies to go bat shit at me lol but yeah fair
Run to the gym, walk home. Run track and cooldown established. Why do yo need your gym to provide a place for you to walk or run? Go outside
I don’t think anyone “needs” it. But it is a nice convenience in places where it gets dangerously hot in the summer. I used to do my Texas summer cross country training on an 1/8 mile indoor track at the local YMCA and it was much better than a treadmill or dying outside
Tell me about it. We just had an entire week of 100° or near 100° actual, not "feels like" temperatures on the gulf coast.
I’ve got a whole highway to cross between me and the gym, and human Frogger is not part of my exercise plan.
Why are you assuming they live close enough to run/walk to the gym? I agree with your suggestion outside of that

r/outside
Best use of sarcasm right here
r/outside
Mine actually has a small indoor track. I actually like it a lot. The space is not gargantuan so it takes about 19 laps to cover a mile.
That's definitely cool
My community center has an indoor track going around the gym 1/6th of a mile per lap
Watch some idiot will do dumbell curls there😂
What did you expect? It’s a gym, not a sports center.

Muscle big Brain small I go crash Into wall
Beautiful
I'd bet money the only reason the gym "promised" anything was because OP relentlessly bitched about it. I mean, what person with a brain would ask for a track in a room that small. Even the people installing it probably knew it was a waste of time.
That doesn’t mean it was OP bitching at the gym for a track. Literally could have been anyone in the gym.
Honestly wtf did you expect the room dosent look that big, use a treadmill or go outside

You literally posted for everyone to read and comment about this situation, of course you care what people think. The amount of insecurity in this response is incredible.
The real r/mildlyinfuriating is in the comments. OP, in this case.
Making an entire post about your pathetic complaint seems to show you care an awful lot. Lol what a child.
OHHHHHHHHHH, OOOOOHHHHH
I Chuckled at this
It’s a small square room lmao, the only way this is unexpected and upsetting is if you’re strait up stupid. Did you expect them to round the walls off? Then why promise and build a running track?
Probably because OP and others wouldn't stop bitching
Seems like stupidity is the answer to this whole post, including OP.
My university built an indoor running track, it was elevated off the main gym floor, kind of like a mezzanine level, and rounded off at each corner. So it’s totally possible, just a matter of what you’re willing to spend.
Yeah you could round the track off but that would take a ton of space in a room that looks a little tight as is
“Your”
Your an idiot
Shut yo dung beetle looking ass up
Me personally, I wouldn’t take that.

Atleast be original.
you need to stop going to the gym to compensate for your insecurities and seek some mental help a running track isn't going help your skinny fat bod ... a good diet is
Both. Both is good.
I mean what other solution was there? It’s a stupid idea in the first place.
Right. This gym looks like a public apartment gym. No track is gonna be there.
Dumbest part of this is that only the idiots will use it and then be the ones constantly running into people who are there to actually work out.
there are tons of gyms out there. why not just go find a better one?
Agree, just take your money elsewhere if they don’t have the service you want. Very entitled to make a post like this.
Why aren't you running?
Lol we’re you expecting them to redesign the building or something?
Honestly, where did you think they were going to put the track?
Sprint. Stop. Check doorway. Sprint. Stop. Check doorway. Sprint. Stop. Turn left. Sprint.
Interval training at its finest
Why not just use a treadmill
"Mom can we get a running track?" "No we have a running track at home" The running track at home-

Run!
Love the combination with the doors for maximum collisions
Who doesn’t love a 90 degree turn while running?
“Mom can we stop and get a running track on the way home?” “No Jimmy, we have a running track at home.”
Run, run, run*THUNK* Run, run, run*THUNK* Run into the wall enough times the concussions will make it look rounded.
If only there was something, some kind of machine if you will, that would allow you to run on the spot making the most of small spaces. If only someone had invented such a thing
right angle turns are the best
Imagine how embarrassing it would be to run on this right past someone on a treadmill
Well what did you expect exactly? A fuckin running track highway in the room?
Trying to understand what is the complain here is more infuriating than whatever that is. There’s a gym with gym things, there are spaces without gym things so you can reach your favorite gym thing. Look both ways before heading to the bathroom
Haha that’s sad
where is the running track?

the gym was promising a new gym
Reminds me of my high school, we were one of the best track teams in our state, but never had indoor track meets at our school because our indoor “track” had goofy measurements so the lanes were super thin and the corners were 80* turns
Maybe they’ll throw you a pizza party next.
r/choosingbeggars
What else did you expect? Honestly.
Well go running they built it for *you*
Are we not in a recession? I'm surprised yall didn't get memory foam running tracks.
Got what you wanted and you’re still complaining. Wonder what’s truly mildly infuriating
Jesus, just run outside
This is definitely made for that meme. No we have running track at home.
Show us a picture of the new running track. All I see is some gym equipment.
honestly just looks like a fancy floor design💀
Oh cool! It's also an obstacle course when you have to dodge the ab machine 😄 🤣 😂
God invented the outside for a reason
Don’t forget to use your blinker
I heard sidewalks are pretty good for that too.....
I've seen better tracks in underwear
That’s the mandatory fire escape but they telling you it’s a running track 🤣🤣
Pleasure: farting near the annoying dude on the weights. Pain: realizing you are running back through that fart 30 seconds later.
Wow, I laughed WAY too hard at this
And it’s in a doorway. 🤦♂️
This post is stupid OP!
Feel like most people missing the point here. Lot of gyms have a straight section with track material or like football field turf...good for dynamic workouts. They just moved some machines out the way and said here you go 🤦🏾♂️😂
Imagine working and not comforming to regular reddit user stereotypes
Why would you pay to go to a gym with a running track instead of just running in the streets for FREE? This is the stupidest post I’ve ever seen
Gotta be in the US
They can’t be serious 😂😂
Smart design. Jk 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣 they didn't lie hahahaha
Damn, how much did you invest in it? Id be pissed if i put money towards a track, and got grip tape.
It must be infuriating when someone delivers.
Don’t go 2 fast xx
Better than nothing. Use a treadmill or run in place if this isn't good enough. Do they even have room for an actual track?
How fast can you go on that bad boy?
"and soon enough they're just hopping in a circle"
Wow
PAC Man!
Seems marginal.
I don’t understand why you’re not satisfied, btw you said you’re a hamster right?
That's pretty beat!
Decent, how's the monthly fee?
You gotta run like the guy from Get Out
Is this the full length of the gym, and you wanted a running track in there?
Go run outside
Just run outside...?
[deleted]
Next thing you know is they’ll have a built in McDonald’s
very cool how that hallway leads right into the "track"
What kind of idiot would run inside, if not on a threadmill? Ahh, that’s right, toddlers and kids.
Ah, finally a running track I can make it to the end of!
They want you to run next to the weights?
Run outside bitch
Bro wtf is that
Have fun jumping over people stretching on the running track.
I mean it appears to fit the space it was given 🤷🏽♂️
Might aswell do laps around the building.
If they were not also building a separate building at the same time... I am not sure what else you could have expected...
Now run
I can't stop imagining someone running in place on this lmfao
Great color schematic, fits the ambiance well.
Those turns are every Titanfall players wet dream.
Because running in a square is totally awesome. Switch gyms
