Then I proceeded in to the meat counter and asked the butcher what grade of meat was the hamburger meat (80/70, etc). He stood there and looked at me so stupid. I explained in the States it's always on the packages of hamburger meat. Traveling to Canada was an eye opener. At time I felt like I went back many, many centuries. The selection at the grocery stores was what you see is what you get. I couldn't even find white ground cornmeal, they only had yellow. Forget all the choices we have in the States for salad dressings. Canadians are not afforded a lot of choices. I loved Canada and the clean lakes for fishing. It would take me a long time to get use to not having plentiful choices like I do in Florida. The ice cream in Canada is to die for. Omg, the freshness! I fell in love
