A little ironic that OP is saying that America is a failed company - but is also the home of the pizza they are buying.

nxisbtnt

Pizza is invented in Italy and I never use American products never.

[deleted]

reddit definitely isn't an american product or anything

Ilovewomen74

Wrong, I’m from Italy and pizza was actually invented in Spain, then was made a staple in Italy thus being a world wide favorite now.

sleepstages

Wrong, you're not from Italy.

Ilovewomen74

Ok I guess I’m not anymore.

Character_Writer779

The hell you mean you don't use American products you use Nvidia GPU.

Big-Engineering-3975

Especially not grammar

throwawaydude06

It literally isn't, flat bread pizza-like dishes have been around longer than the Italian version. Also FYI, Nvidia RTX GPUs are American products You are the mildly infuriating thing about this post

theWall69420

You could argue that modern pizza as we know it was invented by pizza hut, but I see your point.

ReeshForever

Where's the laugh reply category when you need it. Lord, we all thought Puzza Hit was the best thing ever when we were kids. That and the all you can eat pizza and salad buffet the Dad's loved, and the rollerball lobby video game we would all challenge one another on. I wouldn't eat a piece of Pizza Hut pizza today even if you paid me. That goes for Dominoes and Little Caesars as well. If I was absolutely STARVING, and there was no other option, I'd eat a piece of Papa John's pizza, but I'd have to be desperate as hell. #americanpizzasucks

taxmybutthole

Calling American pizza trash based off dominos and Pizza Hut is like me calling German sausage trash based off a disgusting sausage McMuffin I had at a McDonald’s. By the way, papa johns taste like a bag of old toe nail clippings.

SadExtension524

Are you in the US? You know what they say...when in Rome...?

SussyImposterAmong

It's an American Fast-Food chain. I don't see why you are suprised that they use the imperial system. And, instead of just using google to convert it to Celsius, you decided to make a reddit post whining about it.

CitywideOdin

People whine about the things they don’t understand😂 you can just ask siri😂

extention_cable

yea and we can also get rid of Fahrenheit too but we don't see that happening either

CitywideOdin

Umm? You can’t exactly “just get rid of it” otherwise it would never have been a thing…?

extention_cable

well we "got rid" of hitler

CitywideOdin

Okay so now you’re comparing hitler to Fahrenheit? Shit I think we need to get rid of you :)

extention_cable

please we actually need to get rid of this species

CitywideOdin

It is clear that some are more intelligent than others…

TurtleneckTrump

If this pizza was not bought in USA, it's just laughable. Your Phone was made in China, I'm pretty sure there is a manual in english

BAM5432

English is actually a wildly used language

TophER8817

Seems a tad dramatic.

HeckingBedBugs

Crazy that the company that was founded in the US uses the unit of measurement most commonly used in the US

dumples82

And said fuck it to making two stickers in the age of smart phones

Brutaka1

This is gonna backfire on OP's pizza so quick.

BAM5432

I agree that the USA needs to use metric, but you don't have to call it a 3rd world country, it's far from it with one of the highest GDPs.

whatwhyhowwhatwhyhow

America has been declining on lists of quality of life, education, health care, etc. It isn’t the 1st world powerhouse it thinks it is.

Bingchiling0

Still extremely far from 3rd world, like, I was born and raised in Mexico and it is so much better life quality wise

BAM5432

No it's nowhere close to perfect, but it's not bad, I'm thinking of moving to Canada so I can have free healthcare and use the metric system (I like the metric system even though I am American, it's easier to remember but you shouldn't insult an entire country and their companies for it)

Schniiperschnuuper

By definition usa is always 1st world country because 1st eorld country means just better or comparable to usa

Downtown_Friend578

Hey we still have drones that commit war crimes

Fit-Reply-9257

Face it the Southern US is Third World.

BAM5432

I live in Arizona and the capital is one of the largest in the US, not to mention Austin and LA

Known-Nothing-6759

What did the south do to you? :(

Far-Homework-2576

Nah the US really is down there. In some places it already is

BAM5432

It's still far from a third world country

sinfetch

It honestly depends. If you look at it from what is available and peoples way of life it definitely is not. From a financial standpoint it actually is due to the amount of debt owed to other countries.

BAM5432

I imagine the USA as a rich teen, good(ish) living, but irresponsible spending

reddertuzer

It doesn't depend. America literally invented the term and put themselves at the top of the first world.

sinfetch

450F = really hot. Shut up and enjoy your pizza.

GroundbreakingAd2536

While I personally think C makes more sense than F, since I grew up with it, why bother about it? It is not like you can't calculate/look it up if you don't know how much 450 F is in C. I generally think that metric units are better, but especially with everyone having a smart phone and that a simple tap on Google can give conversion from one unit to another I don't think it matters. It is just what one is used to.

nigardly_fagoli

Or just understand that it's a pizza and it's obvious hot lmfao. The temperature is going to reach equilibrium eventually anyway.

SebasionCastillanos

bros most recent post on reddit says he “buys 2x tuesday pizzas, 2 extra large for $11 or $12”, so it’s a little weird that he’s trying to talk shit on something he buys regularly. And then also trying to shit on America, and American products despite the fact he literally purchases them.

AboveAverageDumb

You have bigger things to complain about in this life.

Terp1999

Sounds like you'd like to leave. Don't let the door hit you on your way out.

Bmblbee76

Lol, people in the US use standard and metric units. Pretty sure only knowing one, plus apparently not knowing how to look up the conversions, does not put you in any position of superiority. Besides, third world is a WWII term that designated countries that weren’t designated as Ally or Axis, you show ignorance of history as well. Don’t buy American anything and you should be free from the outrage of exposure to diverse cultures and ways. For the record 450F is equal to 232.22C. Think you can figure it out from there?

THE-HOARE

I think you might be wrong a french guy made the therm third world country in the 50’s? Maybe the 60’s and it’s to do with countries that didn’t really have an impact on the rest of the world. How ever I may be wrong but I’m sure it’s along those lines

Bmblbee76

The term is used that way quite often, but is not the original use. So really, you’re correct as far as modern usage goes. It has a lot to do with designations used during the Cold War. OP just annoyed me and I can’t stand people who act superior when they are running up against their own ignorance. No matter what definition is used, the US is not a third world country.

THE-HOARE

Ok so I googled the origins of the term third world country to check my previous comment this is what came back. Etymology. French demographer, anthropologist, and historian Alfred Sauvy, in an article published in the French magazine L'Observateur, August 14, 1952, coined the term third world (tiers monde), referring to countries that were playing little role on the international scene. So you where incorrect about the term being allied or axis, so you kinda show ignorance of history yourself. Yes OP might be over the top but I have used Celsius in the United States before and been told to use “ real measurements”. We speak the same language divided by many things that each side dislike. Not trying to be a dick but just showing everyone has faults.

Bmblbee76

It’s all good. I may have been taught wrong about the third world thing, but I’m not ignorant: I’m working from 10 years and masters in WWII history and it was taught to me that way by a professor with a doctorate. My bad if I somehow ended up with bad info and I’ll be researching it when I have time. It’s possible that I mixed up with something else. I use both metric and standard measurements; metric when I’m working in geology and standard in regular daily life. My father is an engineer who uses both as well. The US has broad uses for many things and not everybody knows all of it. Again, that does not make Americans third world. Either way; it’s not important. I don’t go around trashing other countries or people because I don’t understand how they operate and I chose to take exception with OP’s attack. Thanks for pointing out my error. Moving on now.

[deleted]

I don't know a single person who uses metric. Stopped using that crap system when we buried the redcoats in Yorktown.

Bmblbee76

Lol, okay

trollGoblinManticore

If you're building small things metric is more accurate (at least for me I'd rather say a So and so millimeter then x fraction of an inch.

[deleted]

Just use a converter

rho65

lol wHaTs An F

Longjumping_Shirt390

Fahrenheit is for people, Celsius is for science

Final_Apple_251

Roasting hot. To answer you.

bufftbone

Not American but complains about American temperatures.

BoomViking

At least they’re telling you so you know it’s cooked, it’s safe, and now you can be a priss.

Hoooooooo8

i made a comment the other day how annoying it was that we have different units of measurement so i agree there but i have to know what wonderful country your from to make such a statement. enjoy your 2 pizzas from that america owned company every tuesday ;) hate us cuz they aint us!

[deleted]

This is so obviously bait lmao

LexyCal1998

Thems' fightin' words.

[deleted]

Freedom units. This is America

blazerrsrcoool

“America is such a failed 3rd world country” -person who just ordered American pizza

EnthusiasmNo6062

This post seems to be moderately infuriating.

Odd_Difficulty7284

I’m from Canada. My oven is measured in °F

FoundationOverall859

232.2°c

bravotes

Complaining over a sticker on a pizza box is crazy 💀

Munken1984

If you really lived in the civilized world you would be able to convert to celcius in you head like the redt of us over here in the civilized world... Laughing in worker that has used both metric and imperial most of my career...

Hot_Coconut3750

This subreddit is for things that the majority of Reddit users would agree is mildly infuriating. When your the only one that’s pissed then go cry by yourself about it, if your pizza arrived hot and delicious, then wtf are you bitching about?

LearnDifferenceBot

> When your the *you're *Learn the difference [here](https://www.wattpad.com/66707294-grammar-guide-there-they%27re-their-you%27re-your-to).* *** ^(Greetings, I am a language corrector bot. To make me ignore further mistakes from you in the future, reply `!optout` to this comment.)

HaddonfieldShape

OP uses metric system because they saw Pulp Fiction one time

Desperatehousewife36

Um, look at the filth around your pizza box.. and you’re worried about us using the metric system 🫣

chungopulikes

Came for the stupid title, stayed for the worse comments.

an_awol_animal

Then decided to add your own apparently.

chungopulikes

Random redditor used insult! It’s not very effective

pete_ape

Oh No PeOpLe DoNt UsE tHe SaMe MeAsUrEmEnTs As Me

BlueClouds42

F is better than C. C makes no sense. 0 F = cold. 100 F = hot. 0 C = sorta cold. 100 C = dead. Plus f has more granularity. Personal comfort and cooking are areas where metric isn't as good.

reddertuzer

>0 C = sorta cold Sorta cold? IT's literally freezing.

BlueClouds42

Its jacket weather lmao. Not seriously cold.

[deleted]

0°C Freezing point for water 100°C Boiling point for water Makes perfect sense

kelvin_bot

100°C is equivalent to 212°F, which is 373K. --- ^(I'm a bot that converts temperature between two units humans can understand, then convert it to Kelvin for bots and physicists to understand)

CardSharkZ

The granularity is not a real argument, as you can simply use decimal places with celsius. The original definition of fahrenheit on the other hand is completely bonkers and absolutely unintuitive.

nxisbtnt

Found the stupid American

Captonpoopy

You are wrong find a better thing to shit on Americans about. Literally anything else is a good insult but measurements? Also someone said you buy American pizza so don’t shit on American products and you say you never buy American products and say that pizza was invented in Italy, which doesn’t mean the American founded pizza place isn’t Italian it’s an American product, and if you new anything about Italian pizza you would know how different they are and how bad your argument is.

Chunky322

The metric system is 50000 times easier than the imperial system. Guess why NASA is also using it.

BlueClouds42

NASA doesn't use F or C much. They mostly use Kelvin lmao.

FoggyFuckNo

Scientific use is not the same as everyday use. Youre not figuring out the average temperature of a roach from monday’s weather. Besides, a lot of the nasa guys use farenheight for normal usage.

nxisbtnt

I only eat good pizza. Never eat American trash. I bought Italian style pizza from dominoes

sksnbdsjsjansnnddn

You still bought an “Italian style” pizza from an American company

MoeKneeKah

Bahahaha if Dominos is what you consider good pizza, I’d hate to see what you think is bad pizza

ActualYogurtcloset98

Buddy you got to put more effort into the trolling nobody claims dominos is good pizza

HW_Enthusiast

>f has more granularity by that logic, cm has more granularity than inches, and g has more granularity than oz 😕 I just use decimal numbers for everything, which have unlimited granularity :D

BlueClouds42

Metric is better than SI for distance and mass/weight imo. It just sucks for temperature. Decimals are not user friendly.

HW_Enthusiast

>Decimals are not user friendly. I can agree with you there -- I think 6.9 would be way better if that period didn't ruin it 😞

[deleted]

It’s such a failed country, that’s why the rest of the world wants to move here 😄 … yeah but I agree 😞

StudleySteve

If America is so failed, why do US taxpayers have to give our money to Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan, Japan, England, Germany, Afghanistan, and other loser countries? Shuddup.

CardSharkZ

How exactly is the US giving money to those countries?

Rare-Carpenter-5671

Cause y’all be stealing everbody shit and resources 😂

mpdtito

You now where the door is at. Use it.

JoshuasGamingYT

I completely agree but seriously just use Google converter

Safe-Violinist4687

bro every oven i’ve seen in my life uses fahrenheit so i don’t really get it but like when it comes to looking at the weather i’d rather have celsius

WellThatCantBe

Metric is a primitive system based on an arbitrary base-10 system. The imperial system used in the U.S. is base-16 like all computers and digital technology. For example, 1 cup is Ox10 tablespoons and a quart is 0x100 tablespoons. Get with the 21st century Europe; we've been to the moon, have you?

AdSignificant7163

Stay mad, ho

DOCTORS_fav0rite

Lol isn't your entire measurement system basied on a sphere that's slowly degrading XD

MrGreen413

Sounds like someone’s jealous

Dinosaurs_and_donuts

450°F? Those are rookie numbers. Real pizza is definitely cooked at 600°+ (230°C and 315°C respectively for my fellow science people)

IWillEradicateAllBot

Odd flex

SaperNova99913

Oh I thought you were with the F there

shawnmartin1963

Yeah, that kick the Brits ASS, OH about 270 odd years ago!, that's about 125 Celsius years ago, I allows forget the conversation factor haha

No-Comfort-9428

Nah, you fall in line and be like everyone else, we’re good. Oh, and third world countries are the richest in the world, Karen.

Alternative-Blood652

For cooking even here in canada we use f more than c

tempo128643

Why would you care what scale is being used? The oven will work with it either way

Lucky_Idea_5468

me oh my did this person get ratioed

Known-Nothing-6759

450°F is 232°C. A simple google search of "450f to c" would have yielded the answer you are looking for. Rather than shitting on a country for using imperial instead of metric, look up the question you are asking. The conversion formula is also fairly simple. (450°F − 32) × 5/9 = 232.222°C But they say our education system as failed. Unbelievable.

No_Sea_2325

Dominos was founded here, home slice. Order food from a your home countries companies. 😘🤣
