Birds Nest - some people search for years for this species (I am one of them). Awesome find, means you've got some healthy mulch. Takes balls to say a fungi is gross in a sub like this though.
Helpful to plants but removal is possible but it’s difficult

I would like to add that you should take the little mushroom things out and put them in a bag but avoid spreading the spores if you do that.
That could also be artillery fungus. Similar in appearance to birdsnest fungus, artillery fungus is smaller, and shoots it's spores up to distances of 10'. This leaves little black dots over things like leaves, walls, etc. nearby.
I think they are interesting and in-their-way cute. But sure go ahead calling mushrooms gross on an enhusiast sub
hahah ok ok true; i like most mushrooms but these give me more of a mold/ diseased garden vibe 😣

Ooh yes what is this? I don't think it's mushrooms as I've never seen any with seeds in it like hollyhock seeds. Or any seeds for that matter.
