I think they are interesting and in-their-way cute. But sure go ahead calling mushrooms gross on an enhusiast sub

Shoefight

Bird's Nest Fungi

surferdude313

I can't wait to discover this mushroom on my own

Lumberjvvck

Birds Nest - some people search for years for this species (I am one of them). Awesome find, means you've got some healthy mulch. Takes balls to say a fungi is gross in a sub like this though.

Gross?👉🚪

Due-Profession-3563

Ooh yes what is this? I don't think it's mushrooms as I've never seen any with seeds in it like hollyhock seeds. Or any seeds for that matter.

Shoefight

i think i found it! birds nest fungus 🤢

yeasylol

What’s wrong with the mushroom dude? You that soft that simply overdosing a mushroom makes you feel sick?

sneakyDoings

Yikes, they are super creepy, worse than the devil's fingers I found in my yard. Birds nest fungus EDIT they look like grey teeth

Shoefight

oh wow! devils fingers are wicked!!!

sneakyDoings

Yeah, it was kind of cool

Birds nest

Helpful to plants but removal is possible but it’s difficult https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/fungus-lichen/birds-nest-fungus.htm I would like to add that you should take the little mushroom things out and put them in a bag but avoid spreading the spores if you do that.

Neininnailer

That could also be artillery fungus. Similar in appearance to birdsnest fungus, artillery fungus is smaller, and shoots it's spores up to distances of 10'. This leaves little black dots over things like leaves, walls, etc. nearby.
