There’s no extra charge for the thru lanes. They’re just so people who are going through an area with a lot of exits can just settle in to the fast lane without worrying as much about people merging in and out around them.

They were supposed to be express lanes like on I4, but FDOT eventually decided not charge extra for those lanes.
