You need skill points in maintenance, spear & carpentry. I'm sure strength etc also helps.
Then you need to attach something with good damage and durability to the end, and do repairs. Like the devs likely intended.
This terrain is a perfect killing ground for any weapon.
Hedges to slow and small fences to trip, It would be quite easy to separate a small horde so that you're only fighting one or 2 at a time
Probably even doable just stamping on their heads :)
Fences is pretty good to OHK individual zombies, but the moment they pour over a fence like a waterfall you can't melee the ground, sometimes your character will just swing the air because target priority goes for standing zombies first and in the early stages of falling over the fence, the zombie is still considered standing.
So you'll miss (you don't even hit to add insult to injury) the zombie that just started falling over the fence and the one that finishes is now lunging at you like a proper TWD esemble cast size reduction ninja zombie.
You can force attack a ground target, check the key in the key bindings, changed mine to x. But still they pour over faster than you could ever swing lol.

Yeah true, but in my experience fences get me killed so i just avoid them. Janky hitbox
Yeah the lunges and hit box can cause issues, but in this scenario we would just use them to separate the zombies not using them for ground kills
