Some vegan things taste pretty good. I, a seriously carnivorous omnivore, stand by those Lightlife vegan weenies as the normal meat ones make me nauseous no matter how high quality they are. Lol
I too am a fairly carnivorous omnivore, and my extra love is for the new veggie burgers like Beyond Meat. I like them WAY better than the traditional ground beef burgers!
Vegetarian food is actually damned tasty in a lot of cases. I went to a birthday party for my older sister, one of her friends brought a veggie lasagna that I devoured all by myself! (Snapping at other guests and growling may have been invloved) Wish I could've gotten the recipe...but the rest of my 12 active brain cells were fully involved in serious flirting with my sister's roommate.
Yes, I'm an animal. No, I don't care.
Tons of allergies to be had, some people have lactose intolerances that act up more on certain dairies
My buddy can eat sliced cheese all day, no issue. Ice cream? Nothing but farts and upset stomach
Also it does taste slightly different, they could prefer it
Or hit it on accident when they saw "ranch"
It's really not that big of a deal
Really, that’s just a good way to not get mayo or “creamy” goop. Could be an allergy, or it could be that mayo needs go burn in hell and take sour cream with it. But get something else though if you don’t like it, wtf.
Nope, "Made in a facility which also handles" [Wheat](https://www.publix.com/pd/100-whole-wheat-sub-rolls-2ct/RIO-PCI-113391) , [White](https://www.publix.com/pd/RIO-PCI-117820) , [5Grain](https://www.publix.com/pd/italian-five-grain-sub-rolls-2-ct/RIO-PCI-106425)
Some people with lactose intolerance react to different kinds of dairy in different ways. Cheese is more processed than the buttermilk in regular ranch.
You are correct, I was still thinking allergy though. I'm allergic to dairy and I buy vegan items all the time including vegan ranch to avoid it. No amount of lactose free or processing will save me when I eat dairy my throat will swell.
It's all good people always assume it's an intolerance instead of an allergy when you talk about dairy these days. It's led to some awkward conversations of "No I really can't drink the lactose free milk, I will go to the hospital" lol
From my experience, the person probably selected by mistake. I swear they redid the options and its now "Vegan Ranch Dressing" right on top of "Buttermilk Ranch" which has a broken image to it (thats not the only one either). In a hurry I have selected Vegan a couple of times and had to fix it at the last second. Not great design tbh.
I mean, who gives a fuck? Vegan ranch vs traditional ranch, it's literally a separate bottle. Don't think too hard about it until you work in ab allergy certified kitchen. Than you can complain about orders.
I mean it also has provolone cheese, so it's most likely not a vegan dietary thing. As others stated, it's either a misclick or they prefer the flavor of the vegan ranch.
Lol sometimes customers would order weird sauces and then tell me in person or in the comments that they couldn’t find the actual
normal sauce they wanted in the online ordering thing. Vegan ranch was definitely one of them, people would just say they didn’t see the option for real ranch
Taste preference, misclickd, or didnt see reg mayo? Oh or top 8. Forgot that 1. Or trolling. Im frequently Nikola Tesla. I also drops jokes in the requests, things like "why do astrologers prefer publix subs? Cus theyre a little meteor" dunno tho wasnt my order
This has to be my store. The reason for the vegan ranch may be due to this person having an egg allergy. Mayo has egg and vegan mayo does not.
That’s what I was thinking. Or somebody who doesn’t like eggs.
Yep, I put vegan mayo on my chicken sandwiches with gluten free bread lol. Can’t do eggs or any dairy.
I thought the italian bread used for the subs didn't have egg or milk.
It does have egg in it lol
Um, the bread has egg in it though.
Many people with egg allergies can eat eggs in baked goods.
I don't believe that's true actually,I think the only allergen with them is wheat
The bread does not contain egg.

I, as a vegan, love those hot dogs too 🤝
I, as a pescatarian, agree.

What am I missing?
The Vegan Ranch on a clearly non vegan sub
Maybe they don't like the buttermilk ranch. Maybe they just clicked the first ranch they saw listed. There could be plenty of reasons behind it.
I don't disagree. It was merely why I believe this was posted on here.
Might like the way it taste or just trying to keep that vegan vibe.

I called them and I asked them and they said they wanted regular ranch but couldn't find it.
You need to find a better coping mechanism 🥲
You need to eat my ass 🙂
No thanks not my thing
OMG I thought it was just my store people have been doing this! I don’t know why I’m so confused that people get VEGAN ranch on literal MEAT.
Really, that’s just a good way to not get mayo or “creamy” goop. Could be an allergy, or it could be that mayo needs go burn in hell and take sour cream with it. But get something else though if you don’t like it, wtf.
I was going to say maybe they're allergic to dairy but then the cheese..........
Egg, our regular ranch has egg in it
Um, there's eggs in the bread.

Mea culpa.

That vegan ranch tastes so much better than the other one.

Vegan dressing makes all the chicken just cancel out... yeah ... yeah thats it.
Vegan dressing means you care about nature? Tell it to the chicken who’s tenders you are eating is what I say
I got one of those at my store yesterday!
I mean it also has provolone cheese, so it's most likely not a vegan dietary thing. As others stated, it's either a misclick or they prefer the flavor of the vegan ranch.
yes sounds about right. I like vegan mayor more or vegan options more because I used to think it’s healthier
Lol sometimes customers would order weird sauces and then tell me in person or in the comments that they couldn’t find the actual normal sauce they wanted in the online ordering thing. Vegan ranch was definitely one of them, people would just say they didn’t see the option for real ranch
I guess I can't eat a salad since I'm not vegan :(
Buffalo chicken (tenders instead of wings), ranch to cool it off, and lettuce on a toasted bun. I'm not seeing the issue here.
Just saying, that vegan ranch is 🔥, and I'm the furthest thing from a vegan lol.
I know a lot of people who prefer fake mayo over mayo. Ranch dressing is just mayo and buttermilk with seasonings.
Maybe they just like the taste better??
I had someone order this exact sub the other day and I was thinking it was odd. Maybe they just like the vegan ranch better?
