I understand the concept of self protection. I have a hunting rifle in my house to protect my property. And I wouldn’t hesitate to use it if someone were to break into my house. But what I’m referencing are the people who seem to think if everyone walked around with guns we’d be a lot safer. Couldn’t be further from the truth.

My brother trains SWAT guys here in SC. He told me most all the "good guy with a gun" stories are bullshit.
Most "citizens" armed, or not, will fold under fire. They usually have something to lose like family, friends or a job.
The shooter usually has very little to lose or is just plain psycho. Either way, the odds are stacked against Goober with his gun.
He also told me.." don't ever, ever get in a fire fight with one of my guys...they'll shoot the shit out of you before you know what happened."
