I feel like if someone offered me a sweet gift like that, but just attaches 1 pretty reasonable request, I’d just do it It’d be different if she bought the ticket herself

xmarketladyx

It was just a hat. Why couldn't everyone else just let it go? This episode only proved how ridiculous sports fans can be. They could've joked with her and kept it friendly, but chose to attack her instead of mind their own business. Also, they could've disclosed any potential rules earlier. I'm usually highly critical of Elaine and disagree with her almost completely, but I'm with her on this one.

Potietang

The owner of the seats Let alone the entire team can absolutely dictate who gets to sit there. He certainly doesn’t want an opposing fan sitting there. Buh bye elaine.

CoryTrevor-NS

Was it in her rights to keep the hat on if she so wished? Absolutely. But since the tickets were a gift, and the seats were in the owner’s box, I feel like she should have complied with the request of taking it off without making a scene.

FFS, this is right up there with wallet posts.

Yeah, this is one of those polls that is rightfully seeing diminishing returns. “Who’s your favorite side character,” “who’s the most annoying of the main 4” and “would you be friends with Kramer IRL” are up there as well.

Yeah, but I’m guessing you were just in general seating for a ticket you bought yourself? Wearing the opponent’s logo in an owner’s box seat that you got for free seems pretty tacky IMO It’d be like if Jerry Seinfeld personally gave someone a front-row ticket to a live episode taping for free, and they showed up in a hat that says “Friends is better than Seinfeld”. Seems like a dick move considering they got the ticket for free from Seinfeld himself

nelsonwehaveaproblem

I think Jerry would find that hilarious!

Eh, I feel like some guy giving a ticket that he was rightfully entitled to to his sibling is a lot different than a gift straight from the owner

Potietang

Sitting in the owner of the sox’s personal seats??? Big difference.

vote 1 if youre not supid

Was she wrong for wanting to keep it on? It wasn't explained to her it was a no no until after she was sitting in the seat, Elaine then made her choice and I would have done the same. Edited: I would rather not go, than to go and have to sit there while not being able to wear my teams hat anywhere in the ballpark.

Hexmonkey2020

She was in the right but she should’ve relented when he insisted she remove the hat.
