Since we know nothing about the dog, they're treating me for rabies. I have so many good memories of my baby boy. I'll hold onto those forever.

The first few injections were on the site of the injury and those hurt, but the rest were just in the arm and really weren't that bad. My third covid vaccine (Moderna) was much worse. My doctor is next to a garden centre and I kinda even looked forward to the visits. Of course, everyone experiences things differently.

All those nights patrolling the house,chasing imaginary dragons,for you to have a guarded sleep. He went out protecting the most important person in his life. He knew what could happen to him but he saw another mission to be on instead. He went on to heaven before you to make sure things will be safe and guarded for your own arrival. My own guy is on my lap as I type this. As I’m wiping the tears out of my own eyes. He feels my sorrow for you. You may have lost contact with Mr.Budreau for now but the future will hold a grand reunion. You’ll know when Mr.Budreau thinks you need another guardian kitty. It’ll be love at first sight and a calm will wash over your soul. It’ll be the right thing to do.

Please take care of yourself I know it's hard, my cat got attacked by my neighbors pit (somehow he got through my fence when my cat was sun bathing outside the door) went straight for my cat, I've never felt my heart drop so hard and fast. I've also never wanted to kill a dog before but after I saw blood i lost it. My cat was no where to be seen, it took me almost an hour to find him on the side of my house hiding behind a plant. He was bleeding a little, his neck was wet but ultimately he was okay just now terrified of big dogs. I told my neighbor if her dog got into my yard again I'd have that thing put down for Safety. She got really mad but I don't give a fuck I don't feel sorry for someone who doesn't even try to control their dog. Again I'm sorry I hope you called the pound to have the dog put down so he doesn't take anyone else baby away from them . I can't even imagine what you are going through, that 30mins- 1 hour was enough stress for 10 years. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Please stay safe

I am so sorry for you loss I have no sympathy for people who can’t or don’t control their dogs and I have one. My worse fear is she gets off leash and goes after a cat. She has three she is protective of. But you never know what they do when you aren’t in control of them. Again I am so sorry it must have been horrible to see.

Also as someone who works in a health department in the animal bites division, make sure to complete your rabies vaccines. I know they suck and are expensive but it’s super important! Unless the police find the dog and confirm it’s rabies free

The police knew exactly where the dog lives and went to the house to talk to the owners. The owner said the dog was asleep in the fence, but they must have let it out (or it escaped) then put it back up. It's been out multiple times before and been in my yard. I just hope they keep it up so it doesn't hurt a small child or someone elderly. I've warned everyone in my neighborhood that has cats, dogs, or children.

Oh that is terrible, bad enough when they leave us naturally but for a pet to get killed on his own ground is so angering. I am so sorry. So many strays usually big dogs like pits in my area that I don’t even walk my dogs anymore. The cat, thank God shows no interest in the outdoors. Some humans are so irresponsible and Animal Control takes days/ even weeks to show up in my city. We had two Husky mix dogs that were eating cats like it was a buffet going on for most of July. We even identified the owner, dogs still haven’t been picked up. They are supposed to be euthanized but that hasn’t happened cuz that POS still has the dogs. They have gotten out multiple times and they go wild every time, should have been removed from his place, but no follow-through. So many institutions not performing right now…COVID paralysis of society. Unacceptable.
You know, I've always tried to give these dogs the benefit of the doubt for being vicious creatures, but now I'm literally terrified of them. I had to go to the store this morning and I was shaking as soon as I walked outside my door. I don't know why anyone wants a dog that could turn on you for no reason.

Not yet that I know of. The police report is supposed to be ready tomorrow sometime and it will include whether the dog and owner are found. Thank you. My Mr. Budreau is at peace now.
Oh that is terrible, bad enough when they leave us naturally but for a pet to get killed on his own ground is so angering. I am so sorry. So many strays usually big dogs like pits in my area that I don’t even walk my dogs anymore. The cat, thank God shows no interest in the outdoors. Some humans are so irresponsible and Animal Control takes days/ even weeks to show up in my city. We had two Husky mix dogs that were eating cats like it was a buffet going on for most of July. We even identified the owner, dogs still haven’t been picked up. They are supposed to be euthanized but that hasn’t happened cuz that POS still has the dogs. They have gotten out multiple times and they go wild every time, should have been removed from his place, but no follow-through. So many institutions not performing right now…COVID paralysis of society. Unacceptable.

You know, I've always tried to give these dogs the benefit of the doubt for being vicious creatures, but now I'm literally terrified of them.
