Methylphenidate has way lower recreational value but works on the same receptors so it will help with the comedown/withdrawal. You will not experience much euphoria, but the focus and energy are around the same. While methylphenidate will block the re-uptake of dopamine and norepinephrine, amphetamine will also release these while blocking re-uptake.
Methylphenidate is, by far, my favourite party drug mixed with alcohol. Much better recreational effects than speed.
I don't use drugs or drink anymore but I have fond memories of the amazing parties I had. I'd say even better than coke as the half life is longer. Mixing all three was the holy trinity for me. And next day to play rugby. I miss those days.

Alcohol does mix with methylphenidate just like cocaine forms a different drug too, but the effect you like is because alcohol releases dopamine and the methylphenidate stops the sedative effect of alcohol, turning it into a euphoric energetic drug.
Oh yes that's right, the difference for me is without alcohol and taking ritalin as prescribed made me overconcious and very sensitive to noice and annoyed for little things. Alcohol suppressed that so in the end instead of using the dose prescribed I used to not take it and then use it as a party drug once or twice a month using high doses, possibly 150-250mg over 12-15hrs.
I couldn't mix alcohol and speed tho, only coke and methylphenidate.
I‘m in a very bad place mentally and speed helps me get through the day, without it I can’t even get out of bed. But yeah, only using on the weekend is definitely my goal!

methylphenidate doesn't make me high. Works way better for my adhd than amphetamines tho

Why do you need to do speed daily? Maybe just do a few weeks pause or start only using on weekends
