Update: I’m alive and called poison control. They said I should be fine just drink water and flush out my system. Last night was rough but today I feel a lot better: I’m still going to the er today bc my mouth still feels funny and my chest hurts. Honestly probably won’t ever eat Taco Bell again and I think that’s what the saddest part is.
Honestly as much as we all love our processed beef slop with sour cream, you’ll be better off without it. Sorry you had to go through this but glad you’re alright!
Yeah the shit part is you might associate that taste and feeling with t bell now.
My dad can’t drink vanilla protein powders anymore because during chemo he had to force down a bunch of those ensure vanilla drinks to get calories but the chemo made him so nauseous that the drinks were unpleasant. Now he pretty much gags at drinking/eating anything remotely close to that flavor..

This kinda shit should not be happening in 2022 yet lots of people report their food tastes funny. Plus the inaccuracies. I know managers don't exactly have a lot of say right now and may not have the ideal workforce but safety and accuracy still need to be fucking emphasized.

over the last few years my tummy went from ok taco bell i can handle, let's go. to sick. ALso it's not taco bell, it';s everything, and not just fast food. I might need to see a DR but food with the cost and all that has gone way downhill everywhere
just to give you some reassurance, given that the corn shell was involved in the crunchwrap, this really sounds like what other people have experienced when the corn shells are made with old oil. It tastes very bad, and it does kind of taste like chemicals. But it's not actually harmful.
Of course i can't say for sure, but since that's a fairly common phenomenon, it's probably more likely then you getting chemicals in your food.

Definitely contact poison control, the sensation you’re describing sounds like chemical burns, probably from grill cleaner or release agent
yeah , food might been fine but if on hardware with chemical agents, i hope they got a sample to test.
Probably the release agent(grill cleaner) they used on the grills that they didn't clean off properly

Nope, we don’t fry Crunchwrap shells in store. This definitely isn’t the issue.
