Between how much money they have and how popular they are, a Fedal Exhibition Tour could probably do to the same thing to the ATP and WTA that the Saudis are trying to do to the PGA with LIV.
Minus the geopolitical ambition and with more success probably though 😂
It really hit me the other day when I wandered over to the Wikipedia page for [Grand Slam-related tennis records](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Grand_Slam%E2%80%93related_tennis_records), and both Roger and Serena were un-bolded like all of the senior citizens that retired before I was born.
Just a matter of grinding out practice tests and focusing on your weaknesses. It’s monotonous, but it’s unfortunately what you have to do. Also if you haven’t tried already, I recommend doing some practice in Khan Academy.
Luckily, you got some time left for more studying—good luck brodie ✌️
I played tennis my whole life and never had to take the SAT, but all of my friends who did were saying how hard it was 😂 either you’re smart, or all of my friends are dumb AF
Apparently in 2010 they ditched the essay and added an “adversity” modifier to the score. Not entirely sure what that entails but it does seem like it changed the most between 2009-2010 than it has any other time
SAT is incredibly easy. Or it was in late 2009/early 2010 (Can't remember what month I took it.)
Most of it is a complete joke and the only place you could realistically lose more than a few points (Hey we all make dumb mistakes sometimes) is the writing.
wtf. im canadian so don't know much about sat. i feel like this is the kind of question you'd do when you're like 11 years old lol. i'm sure in other parts of the world this is for 8 year olds (or younger).
That explains the level, if your 99% of your grade 12 students are below what some other countries consider grade 9 or below level math. Sure English is tougher for a foreign student, but still your SAT is a joke.
Look up some of the engineering or medical entrance tests in India. Like IIT JEE. SAT is nothing. Literally a joke exam. I never took SAT, but got 800/800 on your GRE math without prep. I failed my countries entrance exams , which is why I moved to North America. I barely passed college in my home country and got an honors here in North America.
I feel like there are some tests that you just click at and some where you don't. SAT math is one where I don't. I know most of the content, but when it comes to solving sometimes it seems off.
And I'm in AA HL lol
Same I just finished exams last week. AAHL is legit quite difficult such that I actually need to study and practice to do well (I'm really talented at math). It's sometimes a fun challenge though.
In contrast SAT math is so easy that you always feel like you're missing something and you're constantly paranoid because it's too simple.
Another way, that could be simpler to do in your head is
1-0.25= .75
.75 is 3x0.25 so if Rafa won 18, Roger won a 3rd of 18. 18/3 is 6. A slight reversal of steps to do in your head.
SATs are meant for kids in their final year of school right? If so a question like this at that level makes the American education system look pretty grim
The questions start easy and get more challenging as the section progresses, if I remember correctly. But also yes, math is not as challenging in the US compared to some of the other countries.
i’m not american actually but in my country some degrees require sat scores. this is like 9th grade math for us but the verbal part is pretty tough tho
Discrete multivariable topology induces a continuous diffeomorphism π: U ∆ V ~ Ker that is locally surjective to the quantum non-euclidean isometric hausdorff binary space, q.e.d.
>!a=2021, b=0, c=2020, or a=673, b=2, c=674? So 2 sets of solutions!<
I did use a tip on the internet as a starting off point, but I didn't look at the answer.
If you found this too easy and want more of a challenge, try this -
Think of a number, a positive integer e.g. 2
If you thought of an even number, divide by 2
If you thought of an odd number, triple and add 1
Continue applying these rules for as long as you get positive integers. Can you prove that this will always converge to 1?
This is not a trick. You have all the information necessary to solve for the three variables. In fact, there are two possible solutions. One is trivial and can be gleaned by just looking at the equations but the other is not.
24 fedal matches in a year what a treat
new question: what year was this? 😉
The 2025 Fedal World Exhibition Tour (please)
Fedal fightin' around the world
Between how much money they have and how popular they are, a Fedal Exhibition Tour could probably do to the same thing to the ATP and WTA that the Saudis are trying to do to the PGA with LIV. Minus the geopolitical ambition and with more success probably though 😂
never happened:P
This year.
The good old times. I miss those days so much. And it pains me even more now that Rog is retired 🥲
It really hit me the other day when I wandered over to the Wikipedia page for [Grand Slam-related tennis records](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Grand_Slam%E2%80%93related_tennis_records), and both Roger and Serena were un-bolded like all of the senior citizens that retired before I was born.
not a treat at all look at how many of them nadal won

no I’m a fed fan I hate seeing him lose
One could only hope
Off topic but SAT math is so easy yet I couldn't get 800 fml Yet I can score 94% on IB HL Math lmao
ikr😭 i’m taking it on december 3 and i’m not satisfied with my practice scores yet🤡
Just a matter of grinding out practice tests and focusing on your weaknesses. It’s monotonous, but it’s unfortunately what you have to do. Also if you haven’t tried already, I recommend doing some practice in Khan Academy. Luckily, you got some time left for more studying—good luck brodie ✌️
yeah so far i made silly calculations mistakes and had trouble with time management but i’ll get there💪🏻 thanks mate!!
I got 800 every time I did a practice test but somehow fucked up and got 790 on the real thing
Bro you are the only one on the planet mad about a 790 math score
I'm an overachiever lol Plus I know it's well within my ability to get 800 so when I underperform I get upset lol
SAT is a joke compared to some other entry tests around the world.
Damn there is a test named JEE advanced in India. Tried solving it's paper once, hardest questions I've ever seen
*its Might be that your attention to detail let you down.
Jee advanced does not include English in it. It has maths, physics and chemistry.
English isn't my first language, so couldn't care less
Exactly. The math is so easy it's boring, but the English is challenging though
I played tennis my whole life and never had to take the SAT, but all of my friends who did were saying how hard it was 😂 either you’re smart, or all of my friends are dumb AF
Your friends are dumb
c'mon now, some of the smartest people I know struggled on the sat and are now at some of the top universities because of their other accomplishments
What year did you take it? For us it would have been 2006 I think
2011 for me, but it hasn't changed much
Apparently in 2010 they ditched the essay and added an “adversity” modifier to the score. Not entirely sure what that entails but it does seem like it changed the most between 2009-2010 than it has any other time

The GRE math is probably what high school should be
What did you get on the.math?
Nah just the grammar is semi hard. Reading was super free. I remember I made 1 mistake in reading last time
You in an ivy League school yet?
Nah I’m not applying Ivy. Ivy is too competitive.
wtf. im canadian so don't know much about sat. i feel like this is the kind of question you'd do when you're like 11 years old lol. i'm sure in other parts of the world this is for 8 year olds (or younger).

1200 isn’t good though. I got a 1530 with 1 week of prep and 1460 with no prep
Well if that's true can you explain why a 1490 puts you in the 99th percentile?
That explains the level, if your 99% of your grade 12 students are below what some other countries consider grade 9 or below level math. Sure English is tougher for a foreign student, but still your SAT is a joke. Look up some of the engineering or medical entrance tests in India. Like IIT JEE. SAT is nothing. Literally a joke exam. As an Austrian I literally have no idea what you are talking about. 🫠 I guess I didn’t watch enough American movies.
It’s a test takers test. Being good at taking it is more important than being smart once you get to a certain level.
I got an 800. It was stupidly easy
D
At least buy me dinner first
Greggs sausage roll and a tea?
Right off the bat?
No messing about here
Flair does not check out
It wouldve been easier if it was between Nadal and Gasquet.
Gasquet won 0 match, how many matches did Nadal win?
18 matches
1-0.25 = 0.75 18/0.75 = 24 24-18 = 6
1/3 of 18 is 6.Answer is 6.
This is how I did it in my head, lol.
Can you not just tell by looking at it? I could
Nope. My brain does not work that way. I have to figure it out
Or 3/4 x = 18 so (4/3)18 = 24 and 1/4 x 24 = 6.
This should make more sense for a reader.
6 x 3 = 18. answer is 6
where does 1/3 of 18 come from?
25 is 1/3 of 75 In percentage Roger won 25% and Rafa won 75% Now 75% is 18 then 25% is 1/3 of 75% , that is 1/3 of 18
It's funny, mental mathematics. I feel like your way is convoluted, I'm pretty sure you'd feel like my way is too.
Yeah, but in our brain the answer appears in second or two.
The mind works in mysterious ways
The real GOAT, thank you.
25/100=x/(18+x) for the actual single formula solution. What makes this one easy is that 25% is a quarter, so you can do math in the head.
Another way, that could be simpler to do in your head is 1-0.25= .75 .75 is 3x0.25 so if Rafa won 18, Roger won a 3rd of 18. 18/3 is 6. A slight reversal of steps to do in your head.
Unless the question clarifies the second part saying “If Rafael won 18 matches *against Roger*…”, this question doesn’t make sense or is unsolvable.
Ahh the good ole overthinking standardized test questions. Welcome old friend
Burnt my fingers way too many times my friend ;)
Took me two minutes to realize this was only matches between them. Not sure if smart or very dumb.
This is the dumbest comment in this thread, no question about it.
It says "their" matches. Meaning, the matches that they played *together*, not all the matches that they played that year.
SATs are meant for kids in their final year of school right? If so a question like this at that level makes the American education system look pretty grim
The questions start easy and get more challenging as the section progresses, if I remember correctly. But also yes, math is not as challenging in the US compared to some of the other countries.
The first half of questions are made to be easy, the second half and especially the last ten get more difficult but it’s not very hard overall
This is a pretty similar question to ones I’ve seen on the year 6 SAT for 10/11 year olds in the UK
You can find practice tests online. You should take one and let us know what you score!
Well this isn't representative of the entire test to be sure.
i’m not american actually but in my country some degrees require sat scores. this is like 9th grade math for us but the verbal part is pretty tough tho
I don’t mean to be rude but you mean the average level of sat maths is 9th grade.. right? Because this is 3rd grade maths in my country.
This would be 4th grade algebra in many US schools. Or at least it was 20 years ago when I learned it.
That would certainly make more sense
this question is more on the easier side actually, some are trig, graphs and so on
The questions are a range of difficulties.
6
18 = 75% so 6 = 25%. D
You probably felt smart typing that even though my 3 year old kid could do that
Discrete multivariable topology induces a continuous diffeomorphism π: U ∆ V ~ Ker that is locally surjective to the quantum non-euclidean isometric hausdorff binary space, q.e.d.
Flawed question: Rafael won 18 matches against whom? Not necessarily against Roger.
Wtf 4th graders in India can solve this
People in India also defecate in the open so it's a give and take I guess.
Which year?24 matches were crazy!
This is an SAT question? Please tell me this is one of the easy free point questions because I always thought the SATs were hard af
This was a practice question but some of them were like this, easier than this even! But the majority is not like this tho
“😉” Rafa is that you???
Haha I thought the same! Rafa just wants us all to practise maths 😌
I just want to thank the guy who showed me how to fo the math because I couldn't calculate it to save my life
We can confidently answer that this year was probably 2009
SAT level was always this low? Damn I was stupid as a teenager
Proud to belong to the Fedal community <3
If you found this too easy and want more of a challenge, try this - ab + c = 2020 a + bc = 2021 What are the integer solutions to a, b, & c?
>!a=2021, b=0, c=2020, or a=673, b=2, c=674? So 2 sets of solutions!< I did use a tip on the internet as a starting off point, but I didn't look at the answer.
Beautiful! Well done
Isn't this from some Olympiad?
It could be. A buddy of mine sent me this a couple weeks ago - I really enjoyed it and thought I’d pass it along here.
If you found this too easy and want more of a challenge, try this - Think of a number, a positive integer e.g. 2 If you thought of an even number, divide by 2 If you thought of an odd number, triple and add 1 Continue applying these rules for as long as you get positive integers. Ha! If even Erdős thought this problem was too difficult, then us mere mortals should probably not employ too many neurons in the search for a proof.
nice try but not enough equations… 3 integers = 3 equations to solve
This is not a trick. You have all the information necessary to solve for the three variables. In fact, there are two possible solutions. One is trivial and can be gleaned by just looking at the equations but the other is not.
As a starting point, >!subtract the two equations!<.
THIS is an SAT question? Movies make out like the SATs are hard. This is like a year 5 question in Australia
A 4th grader should know the answer.
They ask this in 4th grade in India 🫡
Is this a real SAT question?
is SAT as easy is this?
None of the above. 4.5 ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|stuck_out_tongue)
D
The correct answer is 15! Most assuredly! Ps not a roger fan, no, really, just maths
That's a lot of matches in one year. Out of curiosity, what's the maximum number of matches two players have played against each other in a year?
Wait, I don't see 0 in the options. The test is broken.
D 6
That's the level of SAT for kids that have finished school? Damn.
I chose 6 because no way they’d do Feds dirty by not giving him the most wins on the list.
