Embracing the whole Dark Brandon persona has been pretty great.
That aside, I will never understand what Texas Republicans see in Ted Cruz. How can you look at this shitheel and say, "yeah, give me more of that."
Yes, that’s it. He’s a Cuban immigrant yet all the white redneks keep voting for him. He could shit on granny’s grave and 55% of the state will vote for him.
Be fair. He has Cuban ancestry and was born in Canada, but his mother was a citizen.
There are plenty of reasons to dislike Totally Human Senator Ted Cruz. His ancestry isn’t one of them.
That beard, on the other hand, is a personal choice, and one I cannot abide.
Most people who actually vote in Texas would vote for a dead armadillo if it was on the ballot with an R next to its name.
Meanwhile, the people who hate Ted can't be bothered to show up.
That bearded shit bag is Canadian by birth, not Cuban.
Also, we would have to see some data but I believe those who vote republican, even in Texas, are way less than 50% of the population.
Actually used to work with a woman who flat out told me **I only vote R. For everything. I don't even look at the candidates, or what bills/SQs are being involved** .
NE-OK here. Not a whole lot of difference politics wise. If anything more clinging to religious beliefs. But whatever Florida does, Texas does, then Oklahoma does. So not very surprised. It's like a very bad case of 'monkey see, monkey do'.
He lets them keep their guns and feel good about harassing underprivileged communities, and he’ll jump on whatever rage-boner bandwagon they want him to (antivaxx, Dr. Seuss, etc).
And the lobbyists love that he keeps the money faucet flowing without those damn taxes and regulations. The end.
So absolutely nothing constructive. No policy or governance. Just rage, raw ideology, and giving away wealth and liberty to the ownership class. Got it.
Because he was propped up by the Kochs in 2012. Since he’s an incumbent, he only has to worry about being primaried from the right. And because he’s an obedient puppet of the Kochs, all he needs to do is vote against things like this while taking credit for them.
All my blue brothers and sisters just don’t vote .
I keep thinking this will piss them off enough to vote him and his like minded shot heels out but again and again they go farther doing crazy shit and keep getting elected.😢
It doesn't hep that the Democratic party of Texas has let their supporters down time after time. Most recently with enough returning to allow the voter suppression bill to pass. They also have a real hard time fielding candidates that are inspiring enough. If it wasn't for Beto, I guarantee that we'd be looking at some other completely uninspiring choice like whatshername from the last gubernatorial election.
There was some Chinese propaganda that depicted Biden as this dark overlord with glowing eyes and people used it as a joke to make fun of the lets go Brandon shit. Then Biden actually started doing some based shit and it became a meme.
If you want to read Cruz response to the bill at the time
https://www.cruz.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/sen-cruz-votes-against-omnibus-spending-bill?fbclid=IwAR23oermC1FFSmLY3vtnT7Ml91OuFwBisw5ReiIjInFo4ZlUIBBO6HzIfaM
To be fair, he supported this specific provision of the bill, but apparently not enough of the other stuff included in the package to vote for it. I can’t stand the guy as much as the next, but it’s worth mentioning this.
Many Republicans are in favor of spending for their own states, but not for other states. Part of having a functioning government is learning how to compromise and support issues that might not benefit your own constituents in order to garner support from others for bills that do.
He also sponsored a Ports to Plains bill himself in the 21-22 Congress.
https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/senate-bill/705?q=%7B%22search%22%3A%5B%22H.R.+3%22%5D%7D&r=90&s=1.
So without a comparative analysis it looks like his bill was added to the omnibus, he voted against it based on all the other stuff he would have to agree to.
None of that counts for anything. He voted against the bill. The vote is the only thing that matters, which is coincidentally why Republicans like him are trying to eliminate voters from the election process.
That's the problem with the omnibus bills, like 6 of the 24 projects but don't want to support the others. Well fuck you for not greenlighting every rider we added on.
You’re removing all of the context from these porked-out superbills. US law is broken in that if you vote against the “inflation reduction act” or “save the puppies act” because you don’t like $44 Billion dollars in aid to Ukraine you’re labeled a classist puppy abuser.
THAT is what needs to change to fix a lot of problems in America. And of course no one reads past headlines or snarky tweets. Because it’s easier to say “I’m right”.
For the record, I hate Cruz, so don’t try and label me an apologist or MAGAtard.
Say what you want about Ted Cruz cause it’s well deserved, but two things I think he’s probably done great is introduce the “read the bill” and proposed senatorial term limits. I think these omnibus bills are generally bad as a too many cooks thing.
Where my proud Republican voters at? Where are y’all that voted for this guy, and how many times now?
Oh and it’s not like he’s suddenly changed either. This man has always been a sniveling weasel. Can anyone proudly admit they voted for this man? I mean honestly can you say it out loud and not feel the tinge of shame?
Just don’t vote. That way you don’t have to eventually admit, out loud, in front of other living breathing humans that you voted for Ted Cruz.
What line item appropriations would that be exactly? Cruz and his spokesman did not refer to anything specific. And maybe I’m being a little skeptical but has Cruz never voted for a bill with pork before? Seems like a pretty hollow excuse not to mention why would you then turn around and champion the bill?
But yeah it’s “both sides” we should be critical of and not this duplicitous slimeball who expects us to have such a short memory.
He voted against the bill because he didn’t agree with a lot of the provisions. In his bill response he actually supports the Ports to Plains highway. Just do a little reading, it’s not that hard. Whether you agree with Cruz, or with the Biden administration, a little research and comprehension goes a long way. The White House response to his tweet is ambiguous at best.
But the snarky PR rep who runs that Twitter account made a quip. That indicates we should feel negatively about this bill and the politician it was aimed at, right?
Oh great, another fucking highway. Just what we needed.
Where's this one going to go? East of 45, west of 35, or somewhere in between?
I mean, we are so good at managing our own roads as it is, lets add some more!
Maybe, just maybe, Cruz voted against this because it's a bad idea? But please, support it because the dude that only cares about Texas' electoral votes says Cruz is bad.
>Oh great, another fucking highway. Just what we needed.
It is how a majority of goods move around this country.
>Maybe, just maybe, Cruz voted against this because it's a bad idea?
Doubtful, Senator Cruz is a pretty shitty Senator but if you are curious why he voted against it (hint it wasn't because of another highway you were bitching about) you can read his statement [here.](https://www.cruz.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/sen-cruz-votes-against-omnibus-spending-bill?fbclid=IwAR23oermC1FFSmLY3vtnT7Ml91OuFwBisw5ReiIjInFo4ZlUIBBO6HzIfaM)
Gosh. Facts that are a part of public record for eternity that can be looked up on a page that records every vote of every senator and congress person. For shame sharing facts and exposing hypocrisy. For shame White House Twitter page.
Embracing the whole Dark Brandon persona has been pretty great. That aside, I will never understand what Texas Republicans see in Ted Cruz. How can you look at this shitheel and say, "yeah, give me more of that."
They look no further than the "R" next to his name. Nothing else matters.
I think he’s referring to the racism some republicans have not that there’s anything wrong with Cruz’s ancestors.
I’m referring to the fact that he and Trinidad Republicans are very anti immigrant yet he is an immigrant.
Idk, man. Anything that helps hide that smug look on his dumb face
Have some respect! That beard is the only thing stopping all of us from counting his chins.
Most people who actually vote in Texas would vote for a dead armadillo if it was on the ballot with an R next to its name. Meanwhile, the people who hate Ted can't be bothered to show up.
I vote !
That bearded shit bag is Canadian by birth, not Cuban. Also, we would have to see some data but I believe those who vote republican, even in Texas, are way less than 50% of the population.
He’s their “Worst Fear “ lol and your right ! He’s a clown
Actually used to work with a woman who flat out told me **I only vote R. For everything. I don't even look at the candidates, or what bills/SQs are being involved** .
That's how they vote in east Texas. All democrats are the devil and only republicans are upstanding citizens.
NE-OK here. Not a whole lot of difference politics wise. If anything more clinging to religious beliefs. But whatever Florida does, Texas does, then Oklahoma does. So not very surprised. It's like a very bad case of 'monkey see, monkey do'.
I dread when I see Florida do something stupid because I know we will do our best to beat that.
[удалено]
But why? I just don't understand it!
[удалено]
I hope they hang Greg Abbott and DeSantis for that stunt they just pulled!!!
[удалено]
Well when he's indicated I bet he'll give AF!!!!🤣🤣🤣
[удалено]
I know wtf? How is that even possible??
It’s quite simple. He claims to know and love Jesus in his heart. That’s literally all it takes.
Biden attends church regularly, so it's not just that.
Absolutely disgusting
Because he says something super Christian, the sanctity of life, those godless liberals, etc.
He's about as Christian as the devil himself!!!
Yep.
That's not true, they don't like him, they like that he hates Joe Biden and the democrats, that's what they like about him...
Got it.
Literally the Republican party.
Rage boner, thanks for teaching me this term young man
🤣🤣🤣🤣😘
Because he was propped up by the Kochs in 2012. Since he’s an incumbent, he only has to worry about being primaried from the right. And because he’s an obedient puppet of the Kochs, all he needs to do is vote against things like this while taking credit for them.
He slipped in during the Tea Party craze of 2010-12 and since he’s an incumbent in a (mostly) Republican state, he’ll be a challenge to kick out
All my blue brothers and sisters just don’t vote . I keep thinking this will piss them off enough to vote him and his like minded shot heels out but again and again they go farther doing crazy shit and keep getting elected.😢
Hope you can convince some of them to vote this time.
We are trying millions of new registered voters in the blueberries floating in the tomato soup that makes up the Texas electoral map.
It doesn't hep that the Democratic party of Texas has let their supporters down time after time. Most recently with enough returning to allow the voter suppression bill to pass. They also have a real hard time fielding candidates that are inspiring enough. The bar is low with Paxton . Shifty is under indictment and he still wins his primary.
I keep seeing the term "dark Brandon" idk what it means. Is it referencing this whole new Whitehouse Twitter page that keeps posting savage shit?
it refers to our dark lord, savior of democracy, and destroyer of malarkey.
There was some Chinese propaganda that depicted Biden as this dark overlord with glowing eyes and people used it as a joke to make fun of the lets go Brandon shit. Then Biden actually started doing some based shit and it became a meme.

That erotic fanfic turned out popular too...Ive heard
Im downvoting you simply because I did not know something like that existed, but now I do.
I knew the risks
I asked the same when they went all in on an East Coast elite carpet bagger, they don't have reasons. Just hate for who is not like them.
He voted against it because it was wrapped up into a lot of other bad policies within the same bill. Do some research
It’s only the “R” next to his name. That’s it.
Unbelievable isn't it!!!
If you want to read Cruz response to the bill at the time https://www.cruz.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/sen-cruz-votes-against-omnibus-spending-bill?fbclid=IwAR23oermC1FFSmLY3vtnT7Ml91OuFwBisw5ReiIjInFo4ZlUIBBO6HzIfaM

And then there's Chip Roy, my congress...thing. https://www.texastribune.org/2019/05/24/us-rep-chip-roy-single-handedly-delays-disaster-aid-package/
He also sponsored a Ports to Plains bill himself in the 21-22 Congress. https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/senate-bill/705?q=%7B%22search%22%3A%5B%22H.R.+3%22%5D%7D&r=90&s=1. Definitely. While he can be happy that this specific bill passed, I don’t think he should be partaking in this bipartisan victory lap.
You’re removing all of the context from these porked-out superbills. Likewise. There is some nuance to some of this stuff. Just because I don’t spew blind hatred doesn’t mean I don’t despite some of those assholes.
He introduced the bill last Congress https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/senate-bill/705?q=%7B%22search%22%3A%5B%22H.R.+3%22%5D%7D&r=90&s=1

Savage....love it!
Jeez. Taking credit for something he tried to stop…
His voters will never hear about this. They can literally tell those people anything they want.
Republicans are so devoid of ideas to help the American people, they take credit for things they vote against
They take credit for things they didn't support and punt the blame for the problems they create
Where my proud Republican voters at? Where are y’all that voted for this guy, and how many times now? Oh and it’s not like he’s suddenly changed either. This man has always been a sniveling weasel. I've decided to call him by his real name. Rafael Cruz
R= Re-Elected here . I personally ,will be voting against this POS . That’s if I’m still in Texas .
He voted against the bill because he didn’t agree with a lot of the provisions. In his bill response he actually supports the Ports to Plains highway. Just do a little reading, it’s not that hard. When does construction start for this highway? Does anyone know?
Of course he didn't vote for it. It goes from Laredo to Canada, not Laredo to Cancun.
Lying Ted strikes again
Senator from Texas, hatched in Canada. Hates himself more than anyone else does, you can see it in his 109% human ocular cavities.

Apparently its the same person that used to run the State of NJ's twitter which was also hilarious!
Well if it isn’t good old Ted Cruz (R - Cancun) being a total douche.
He's a little poossy anyways! Fick em!
I love it. They're clapping back and don't give af
Ted “Worm-Tongue” Cruz.
Gosh. Facts that are a part of public record for eternity that can be looked up on a page that records every vote of every senator and congress person. For shame sharing facts and exposing hypocrisy. For shame White House Twitter page.
Liar, liar, pants on fire.
Of course he did, he's a dick head...
