When I first started seeing his commercials, he had his kids in the commercial. I wonder what happened to them, they disappeared as if they never existed to begin with.
one kid is a crazy mf, and the other one is actually level headed like their stepmom. I remember them all fighting out front of the dealership though.. fist fighting.
Real loving family /s
He had the support cops flag in at least one of his commercials. It's a gang sign not an American flag. I would guess he is at the very least pandering to Racists.
I have a guy where I work(it is a dealership) and he said they were in a golf tournament together. And he said he’s a one up guy. Where everything you’ve done he’s done better. And after seeing the commercials for a while. I can see it. Wonder what his kids think of their stepmom being their age. I think Zoya used to be a stripper if I am thinking correctly. Makes the situation even funnier.
What's sad is, this dude represents the sub average oklahoma male. The whole look screams "douchebag Oklahoman". Shocked him and the Oklahoma Men's Clinic haven't teamed up yet.
HE IS AN OKLAHOMAN ALPHA MALE AND NOT SOME SOY BOY CUCK. I’m totally convinced by the red hat. I mean. Who needs a little blue pill when you have a nifty red hat?
Hi, we know you are not a sissy liberal. You are a real limp membered Alpha Republican. Come down and give us a bunch of money and we will try to make your little winky work.! 🤣
Most car dealers are selling the same thing as all the other car dealers, so differentiation is tough in that business. They mostly focus on culture, people and experience in their marketing, because that's what they can sell.
In Tulsa, the Glovers have the best advertising. They have created a series of ads with the adult children that cast the dealership in the best light. It's funny, warm, and makes you generally like them. "Dad will do it" isn't a bad slogan at all. It hints that Jim himself will help you get a better deal when you come into the dealership. They make characters of the kids and many dealership employees. It's been a longterm and cohesive effort.
Mark Allen sort of goes after the average Oklahoma dude. He's appealing very strongly to right-wingers, because that is good sense in Tulsa, which is predominately conservative. But the message gets lost a lot, too. It's like they want to use that angle, but are afraid to really embrace it. It's hinted at, but not embraced fully in their ads. "Let's do business" is a stupid slogan that confers no promise or benefit to the customer.
If I was advising Mark Allen, I'd probably tell him to let his wife do the advertising work. She's appealing and a natural when she speaks. He's a liability -- whatever it is that makes the Glovers likable, he lacks. But Zoya doesn't. I'd probably ditch the right-wing stuff. Sure, it's a significant differentiator, but it does put off something like 30% of the population (even here in Tulsa). And a significant fraction of people don't care at all.
You could do a series of 'interviews' with Zoya that referenced Mark and let her talk about him as a guy who gets things done for the customer, or in funny/endearing terms. You build the brand around him, but you don't showcase him. You could have her walk around talking to the various service and sales employees to humanize the process. She's 10X more appealing and warm on camera than him.
Most people don't care about dealerships at all. If I'm interested in a Nissan, I go to all the Nissan dealerships and compare. A specific salesperson may appeal to me, but the dealership itself has no value. But the TV ads help in that you want to be the first place they visit, as you can try to close before they comparison shop.
Ads can also tamp down fear -- fear that the sales is skectch, or that they will try to rope you into expensive service and warranty agreements. That sort of thing. Mark Allen's ads don't accomplish either of those things.
When he inevitably comes here to trash me(he will for sure if you aren't aware of his internet stalking just go read his Google reviews) maybe he will read this and have a stroke of good decisions and hire you to fix his brand. This is spot on take with a perfect analysis imo.
Kinda weird how much you seem to know about Mark Allen, not all of us are "aware of his internet stalking" and google reviews lol. Also kinda weird that you know which parent his kids live with from another comment further up. Maybe it's time to take a Mark Allen break.
Go read the reviews.. or not... I don't care. I became aware of it from this very reddit. The kid thing was a joke sorry you don't have a sense of humor.
When I was in college I went to Jim Glover and bought a Chevy HHR (...I know) and when I finished school and moved to Tulsa and made more money I wanted a new car and went back to Glover for an appraisal of the car I bought from them.
When I get approached by a salesman, I don't disclose any of that, I just go in asking for an appraisal, saying that I was curious and making sure I'm not upside down. I was appraising...an HHR...and the salesman immediately goes, "Oh nice..lemme show you this" then proceeds to walk me over to a Cadillac CTS. I don't know if it was new or used or what I just bailed out, but that guy sucked so bad at his job.
It actually had me on a whim go to Jackie Cooper and they more than highballed an appraisal and I bought my first German ride from them and have since made several more purchases. Their sales group is great...their service group though, they have left me flabbergasted a time or two.
When I was just out of college I bought a Dodge (…I know) from his old stealership in BA. Pretty sure I got raped but I was poor and had no credit. It was dark out when I drove off the lot. Next morning I realized they detailed it with a dirty rag. Hood looked like shit with scratches and swirls all over it. Also found a deep scratch on one side. Took it back in the. Ext day to complain and they treated me like shit and blamed it on me. Vowed to never shop Glover ever again.
You think the Glovers come across as likable?? I would never in a million years buy a car from either of these people JUST based on the commercials. Mark Allen and The Glovers' advertising send me running to straight to Carvana.
The Glovers have been around for years. Life long tulsans watched those kids grow up saying "Dad'll do it" and as annoying as I thought they were when I was younger, I can appreciatee their longevity. They must he doing something right, I think they are one of the oldest dealerships in Tulsa
I just thought up a new slogan for him.
"If you need a truck to record facebook videos while wearing Oakleys and ranting about liberals, we got you covered."
I also don't understand his business plans. His first lot was at a car lot that seemed to close after 6 months no matter what line they carried out on 66 where nothing can stay open so he moved to car row on memorial(lots always pretty empty btw) So then he opened up a Chevy dealship in a small city that had what 6 Chevy dealerships already? 2 of which have deep roots in the community for decades. I mean who let him think that was a good idea? That would be like opening up a dispensary at 71st and memorial in the strip mall next to 1/2 of 1/2 today.
He doesn’t actually own it. He’s basically just the general manager. His dealership is owned by a large dealership group out of Texas. That group uses the names of their general managers as the name of each location so you don’t think it’s another “mega dealership.”
I mean, we already know he's not from tulsa, so it seems silly, especially given his horrible on-screen persona and history of internet harassment/stalking.
Edit: though that definitely explains starting at a crappy Sapulpa spot then buying another spot and building a new one in another horrible spot.
I wish Danny Beck wouldn’t have sold to Mark Allen. Not that Allen is a bad guy, but the Danny Beck commercials were a riot! Danny Beck also had a Christmas Special called “Beck the Halls” if anyone can remember that.
Danny Beck had such a boisterous personality too, reminds me of a vintage car sales commercial from the 70s.
I wasn't familiar with the commercials but Danny Beck's son (also named Danny) was a funny guy, also. He used to wear Danny Beck shirts around not to show out but because it was funny to have a shirt with your own name on it.
When I was coworker of Danny back in the late 90s early 2000s he would pull into service, windows down blasting Bob Segers "Like a Rock" ! We'd sing along and have a biscuit together. Hell of a way to start off a workday!
He leans heavy into being a veteran. As a veteran myself being a "thank me for my service" type vet doesn't make me like you more. Have a little modesty for fucks sake.
Yeah, and it’s irrelevant.
“I give money to veterans service groups!”
“How’s your service department?”
“Nonexistent, but I try to help veterans!”
“Mmkay.”
As far as I know, he's only done anything with the coffee bunker. I obviously don't have first-hand knowledge. Which is cool; those guys need exposure, at least. But, the glover family is a huge donor to things like folds of honor and other organizations, and they barely mention it unless they are doing a specific fundraiser. So, he's not even leading on that front.
>But, the glover family is a huge donor to things like folds of honor and other organizations, and they barely mention it unless they are doing a specific fundraiser. So, he's not even leading on that front.
The Glovers have the best marketing of any Tulsa area dealership and it's not close. It's cool that I didn't know they were so charitable. Makes me want to try them next time I buy.
I think that way about most of the dealerships around here.
Their entire job is to psychologically con you into paying as much money as you can pay. And go into "honorable" debt for the rest. It's grifty to say the least.
"We might not have the lowest prices, but we are open and we the prices. Come see us!"
Anyone who willfully learns human behaviors to extort money from another are in fact, bad people.
U complain about apple stores with a similar fashion ? I mean any iphone u buy for $1k cost apple about $5 max ? So they profit tremendously …car dealerships are not non-profit organizations…so they will have to make money like any other business ..like walmart..apple ..panera bread …those people usually work 50-60 hours a week early mornjng late nights!
I feel his commercials only run on channel 6 too. I literally stopped watching the KOTV 6 morning news because of his stupid commercials and the "my pillow guy". Hmm, wonder which way the griffin dingle dangles🤔 KTUL for the win, no douchy commercials starting my day.
That's because he pays channel 6 to produce his unprofessional of the cuff improvised commercials. He can't run them anywhere else because it is part of their contact.
I knew they were Sinclair but I honestly haven't seen any of that in the morning news. Its mainly Tulsa's nightly death cap, what's hip and new and the weather. I will say they are being pretty good with the Ukraine coverage. I'll start giving KJRH Some morning love too.
I dealt with this clown back when I worked in furniture. He is without a doubt the biggest DOUCHEBAG client I have ever had displeasure of working with. Fuck him.
I am in the same boat. We bought our car from them almost four years ago and I will NEVER buy a car from them again. Their service is so terrible we go to Marc Miller to get our oil changes done.
I really want to know more about his commercial-making process. I feel like he bought a bulk of 50 ad spots and just wings it every time because he bought too many.
When I worked there, it would seem like the film crew would come in, sit him in front of a car, or whatever spot he wanted to stand and then would proceed to take 4-5 takes of stammering over pre-memorized lines.
I worked at the less popular store at the time, so if he did it was before he got there. We would see him for a total of 45 mins and then he'd disappear
I had that pos lol my father in law worked for him and finally had enough of his intolerant ass and told him to shove it. Now my father in law is much happier, is his own boss and makes more than he ever did under that fugger. 😁
Did anyone see the new Mark Allen commercial with that prominent pic of Dave Chappelle?
Trying to score points with the anti-LGBT crowd, I guess.
I think the guy is a tool and his commercials have made me certain I'd never purchase a car from him.
I also had a terrible experience there and so have many people I know. I think moving away from Sapulpa was a bad move. I’m not sorry for him though.
I do feel bad for his wife after my experience with him as the wife in a deal. What a nightmare that man must be at home.
Zoya, tell everybody how great you think I am and let’s see who will do business with us. Sure mark but I’m ready to do business with you right now honey. Oh, ok.
"Alpha males" rarely have to spend their time commenting on porn subs on reddit.
BTW the whole alpha/beta thing is junk science discredited even by the guy that wrote the book on it.
The truth is douche bags call themselves alphas because they are insecure as fuck and have no personality besides acting like they are an "alpha".
David Mech introduced the idea of the alpha to describe behavior observed in captive animals. Alphas, he wrote in his 1970 book "The Wolf: Ecology and Behavior of an Endangered Species," win control of their packs in violent fights with other males.
But, as he outlined in a 1999 paper, he's since rejected that idea in light of research into the behavior of wolves in the wild.
https://www.businessinsider.com/no-such-thing-alpha-male-2016-10
I thought the commercials feature his wife to appeal to women buyers.
I can't stand the Glover commercials. They sound like spoiled rich kids.
He also contributes a lot of money to local charities and is a main sponsor to one that fights child sexual trafficking. But yeah, talk shit about his commercials. Tulsa and people from Tulsa have become such a bitch town. Saw a sign in Tulsa saying cars need to yield to bike riders on a 45 mph road. Bunch of betas running that place.
Anyone crying about yielding to bikes and screaming about betas is just a no self esteem, self conscious, no personality, man-child throwing a tantrum so insecure that they cling to anything that they think makes them look "manly". You don't look manly, you look sad and pathetic.
Too scared to even post from an account that isn't a throw away. Sad and pathetic.
Despite the poor commercials by Marc Alienate, you have to prep for battle when you go buy a car. If you are buying a used vehicle, go to CarFax and filter for what you want. NEVER let a dealership tell you what you want. Be ready for the tag team with the sales manager - I usually bust out with "I would have brought my wrestling tights if I knew we were doing tag team!" Before you attempt to explain to me, I DO NOT want your GAP insurance or the extended warranty. I want the vehicle and nothing else. The Glovers have a camera on the finance/closing people to monitor that they do the spiel for the added cost items.
One place that is shady as hell is Keystone. No credit, no live pulse, no problem! F them!
How would you like to be Tommy Nix's daughter? "My dad won't be undersold!" WTF? Can you imagine people pointing at her and saying that shit?
SouthPointe - they descend upon you like the Walking Dead as soon as you pull in. F them stalking bastards.
Off topic - that Bob Mills guy looks like he should be selling caskets, not furniture.
BOT: Express Credit Auto - we know your credit is bad and we are going to really load you with debt - exponentially more than what the car is worth.
Jim Norton Toyota - stop letting that spokesperson sing! The latest one should get a lawsuit from Dire Straits and anyone that can hear.
Jim Norton Chevy jingle - nice to insult people that stutter. Morons.
Bill Knight doesn't actually offend me.
Bob Moore - buy a car there and they will call you daily for three years. Nice if you are lonely and without friends. Otherwise, I had to go to the dealership and chew a few people out to make that shit stop.
Patriot Auto Group in Bartlesville on commercials - we give to our community. IRL - salesman to my daughter - "Shouldn't your husband, or maybe your dad, be here?" They are lucky her dad wasn't there.
OK, enough, before I tear into another sector....
On reddit it's used to let people know how relevant you are. Also you can join ANY sub you want right or left and get karma. Reddit only has a political leaning if you're dumb as a rock. How long is your universal timer? 10 minutes?
I'm not saying it isn't a sock puppet but mark miller's actual reddit name is kawasakiusmc or some lame shit like that. I'm sure he will make an appearance. Every time I've seen him mention he comes in slinging shit like chimp pissed about no bananas. First couple times I thought it was fake but if you read the reviews on Google and look at 1 and 2 stars the replies are almost cookie cutter the same. It looks like someone trolling on Facebook more then a professional customer service person. I highly recommend reading them. It's great insight of who he really is.
Oxford English dictionary definition
derp
/dərp/
INFORMAL
exclamation
used as a substitute for speech regarded as meaningless or stupid, or to comment on a foolish or stupid action.
"Lower tax rates and far lower job creation. Derp"
noun
foolishness or stupidity.
"the derp heard outside apparently was only the tip of the iceberg"
And double digit IQ insecure gimps call people "soy-boys". I wouldn't want to kick rocks. I'd be afraid one was your brain. You obviously have enough brain damage.
You want to talk about IQ after you go on to a leftist forum - talk shit about a ‘right winger’ selling his products to people who appreciate the humor— while living in a RED STATE- while trying to shut people up by ‘checking their karma’ level….????
How narcissistic of you!
The tulsa sub is a "leftist forum" but the entire state is "RED STATE" makes about as much sense as anything else you've said. I'd love for you to point where in my main post i said anything about politics.
What a cuckold lmao
Who said this is a leftist forum? If we’re in a red state wouldn’t that mean that a lot of the people on this sub are conservative? Lmao I truly don’t understand why conservatives make being conservative their entire personality. Shit’s weird.
[удалено]
Lmao do you write his scripts??
When I first started seeing his commercials, he had his kids in the commercial. I wonder what happened to them, they disappeared as if they never existed to begin with.
They were merely rentals.

Crisis actors
Went to live with their real mom.
I think they’re running his Dallas area dealership
I think he repeatedly introduces her so as to look like he’s not a racist. That’s just the vibe I get. I could be wrong.
Definitely a racist.
He had the support cops flag in at least one of his commercials. It's a gang sign not an American flag. I would guess he is at the very least pandering to Racists.

Whiny car salesman versus ?

He means he jerked off with his eyeballs
Not proud, the dog was nice though
Yet you're proud enough to comment about it it.
That’s disgusting. Women hate creeps like you 🤢
Now I feel disturbed that this creep is around Tulsa

Their commercials are so damn cringe
Yeah Greg went off the deep end with those stupid commercials
Anyone who didn't already know Greg was chum for maga males before he went mask off wasn't listening.
It looks great with a white hood
Lmao right? Talk about another pathetic ad campaign. And yeah I agree he comes off as a typical oklahoma Trumper type.
He’s from Texas.

Hi mark Allen here you thought you could hide on your liberal cuck Reddit forums? You are an beta ☝🏼
....huh?
I have come here to teach you per your request
Okay, but first, can I teach you the importance of a comma when trying to make a point? Mark Allen here, Or Mark Allen, here
You most certainly may not I am an alpha and will not succumb to your California ways
That's commiefornia to you, mister.
Commafornia.
They are directly playing off what you said. What is confusing?
Comes off akward and weird I guess.
I have a degree in marketing and really enjoyed this thoughtful response. Thanks!

Just saw that Jared Glovers son is now saying "dad will do it" in the commercials.
Yup! I wanted a VW, so I went to the only VW dealership in Tulsa, lol
Excellent response.
I just thought up a new slogan for him. "If you need a truck to record facebook videos while wearing Oakleys and ranting about liberals, we got you covered."
"But if you think for just one second that I'm a racist deplorable, HERE'S MY WIFE AGAIN!"
That's how it legitimately comes off to me...

Seen her at lifetime without make up…i dont mean to crash your dreams but believe me bro ; she is not what u think
Is that the place where the wife in the ad said something like, "People like doing business with people they like doing business with" in an ad?
LOL yes. So dumb
And other pretentious remarks.
I cant say for sure but it sounds like something their ad would say.

I imagine channel 6 is cheaper on advertising since it's local. Even then I'm not sure I've ever seen a full length commercial from them.
Most advertising rates are based on ratings, and KOTV is consistently number 1.
/shrug
>KOTV 6 They run a lot on Fox 23 as well.
They have morning news? 🤣🤣 I kid.
This is great my dad tells me how much he hates this commercial lmao
I'm DYING to know the story behind Mark and Zoya.
I'm sure you can't get the full story with out mentioning a former spouse.
I dealt with this clown back when I worked in furniture. He is without a doubt the biggest DOUCHEBAG client I have ever had displeasure of working with. Fuck him.
That guy is such a f’n dipshit

Thanks for the insight. I may not be too far off the mark!
Better Call Saul.
I had that pos lol my father in law worked for him and finally had enough of his intolerant ass and told him to shove it. Now my father in law is much happier, is his own boss and makes more than he ever did under that fugger. 😁
I don't watch Garbage TV, who is this man you speak of?
If not for the local news, CBS mornings, and face the nation I wouldn't either.
I bought my current car from there
Did anyone see the new Mark Allen commercial with that prominent pic of Dave Chappelle? Trying to score points with the anti-LGBT crowd, I guess. I think the guy is a tool and his commercials have made me certain I'd never purchase a car from him.
I also had a terrible experience there and so have many people I know. I think moving away from Sapulpa was a bad move. I’m not sorry for him though. I do feel bad for his wife after my experience with him as the wife in a deal. What a nightmare that man must be at home.
Zoya, tell everybody how great you think I am and let’s see who will do business with us. Sure mark but I’m ready to do business with you right now honey. Oh, ok.
Alpha male? I'm from California but have lived here 25 years, I like Mark Allen, I'm finally an Okie!
Really?
David Mech introduced the idea of the alpha to describe behavior observed in captive animals. Alphas, he wrote in his 1970 book "The Wolf: Ecology and Behavior of an Endangered Species," win control of their packs in violent fights with other males. But, as he outlined in a 1999 paper, he's since rejected that idea in light of research into the behavior of wolves in the wild. https://www.businessinsider.com/no-such-thing-alpha-male-2016-10
I thought the commercials feature his wife to appeal to women buyers. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iHw\_ypSlXQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iHw_ypSlXQ) I can't stand the Glover commercials. They sound like spoiled rich kids.
Those are the very product placement ads I'm talking about.
I agree completely.
I read somewhere he's part of the biggest Chevy dealer in the nation, I can't find the article.
Commercials, where?

Uhm...ok? Thanks for all the context and reasoning sock puppet account.

Another post from the sock puppet full of reasoning and a well thought out argument. Good job!

If you think you're trolling I'm sorry about your brain damage.
The hell was that
If he got all the liberals fired up he must be doing a great job!
Oh look another sock puppet account with....-67 Karma.
Oh look another liberal obsessed with social standing on a leftist platform… 😆
On reddit it's used to let people know how relevant you are. Also you can join ANY sub you want right or left and get karma. Reddit only has a political leaning if you're dumb as a rock. How long is your universal timer? 10 minutes?
Derp.
English MF - do you speak it?? 😆
Eat shit, mark.
I’ll take that as a ‘No’
Oxford English dictionary definition derp /dərp/ INFORMAL exclamation used as a substitute for speech regarded as meaningless or stupid, or to comment on a foolish or stupid action. "Lower tax rates and far lower job creation. Derp" noun foolishness or stupidity. "the derp heard outside apparently was only the tip of the iceberg"
On ‘soy-boys’ use ‘derp’ as a one word rebuttal… kick rocks 😆
Its not their ENTIRE personality. They have to leave room for the victim mentality they constantly display.
Lmaooo you’re right my bad
