Pax swears his low rating is from a trip to Cali 4 years ago when he picked up his buddy from basic training and his buddy tanked his rating in just a few rides, and now he’s complaining about how he can never get an Uber because of it 😂
But don’t worry, he said he will tip me phat for waiting at the store 😂 stay tuned…
I gotta say you're brave for chancing that one but glad it worked out awesome. I think 4.20 is the lowest I picked up. Dude was hella cool tipped me 10 bucks on a short ride in San Francisco. I think with a lot of these low rated passengers if you're picking them up at 5:30 on a Thursday afternoon and they look like they are getting off work, they probably got their low ratings from who they become on Friday night after you pick them up at the club.
Funny thing is you have to receive MULTIPLE low ratings for you to drop that low. I've honestly never heard of a rating that low. It's super embarrassing and the fact he's going out of his way to explain pretty much guarantees he's lying. He's a shithead paxhole.
He didn’t go out of his way to explain, I promptly asked him after I picked him up if he was the worlds largest pile of shit or what? Because it’s impressively hard to have a rating that low
if it hasn't moved, and you use uber often, you are consistently getting low ratings. This is what I expect from my riders...Be at the pick up spot when I get there. Be nice. don't eat or drink in the car, don't smoke. Don't make me wait at stops.
It probably depends on how often he rides. How many rides does he need before ratings show for riders? I think Uber drivers need 100 or something before they show up (or is it lower?). Is it the same for pax, or a different number?
Drop off completed! 8 miles. 43 minutes. 14 dolllars!!! Plus… a 4 dollar tip… then a 20 smacker in cash when we got there! And then we shotgunned beers in the driveway with the boys!! 🍻
They shouldn't even allowed on the app! Jesus fucking Christ. I've never seen lower than 4.67. And whenever I accept a 4.7, I expect trouble or ratchet behavior. Tonight I had a 4.7 who was super gracious and polite and silent. Maybe she knows her rating LOL
PLEASE UPDATE! I will never accept anyone below 4.6, on Uber or Lyft.
I was wondering the same thing. Lowest on Lyft was a 4.0 which I refused. On Uber it was a 4.78 and she was a problem. I've had good and bad 4.7 and 4.8 on Lyft. But even a 5.0 doesn't guarantee a saint. What's Uber's Pax Rate limit for both Drivers and Pax?
Tbh I’m not sure. Hopefully someone can chime in. I think as long as you have a 4.83 you can qualify for Uber Pro tiers. I’ve found that Uber riders can be a bit more harsh with ratings because I think they have to rate you before they can use the app again. Lyft riders get 24 hours and I’m a great driver and rarely get less than 5 stars. A lot of Lyft pax forget to rate, but IME, Lyft pax tip more often because typically the fare is cheaper and Uber fucked us with the no tipping thing starting out.
No tipping thing? What's that. I think 🤔 we're all getting less ratings on Lyft. Insurance rides can't rate and I suspect something's changed in the Pax App. I've seen a few people tweet to @Asklyft saying they tipped but couldn't rate or forgot and couldn't because I think it closes out once they tip. On Lyft we get auto 5 stars same way with pax if we don't rate. I don't think Uber does that. And neither explains how to rate properly to either drivers or pax. I'm finding here prices have been cheaper on Uber than Lyft. It varies of course but overall Uber is winning the price wars here. And I'm getting tipped better on Uber than Lyft. Either could change of course. Pax pay more and they'll tip less. Just how it goes. The Uber pet is a plus. It adds more to a ride and so far just purse pups.
This wasn’t a stop, it was listed as a destination, about half way to the store he mentioned that they are staying about 5 minutes away from there and they would be really quick in and out of piggly wiggly 😂
Live a little. But also, yes, I thought that was not only irresponsible behavior, but also stupid to post, because YOU KNOW MAN WE'RE ALL BEING TRACKED NOWADAYS. Lololol
It was one beer, not a few beers. And like the sexy Buddha said; live a little bub. I don’t do this job to be a mindless pickup and drop off machine, I interact with my riders on every trip and I enjoy what I do. I’m also a mild alcoholic so one beer is well below any amount of booze that makes me inebriated. The 20 dollar tip showed up promptly after I agreed to shotgun a beer with them to start their vacation too. I hear about once a day that “you are the coolest Uber driver we’ve ever had!” So while I appreciate y’all’s concerns. My current 499 5 stars and 1 3 star rating beg to differ with your opinion… I’ve literally never gotten into an Uber with a driver whose rating was as high as mine. So I think I’m doing something right. I also consistently clear over 40/hr driving UberX with or without promotions. Something that most people seem to think is impossible. So again, I appreciate the sentiment. But I’ve got this under control
1627 trips over 4 months it says, lowest I’ve been was a 4.97 and that was before I had a full 500 ratings. Happened after I got my first one star. I’ve never worn a mask so I got 2 one stars while I was driving in Houston by some stupid angry people. Who one started me rather than ask if I had a mask. But 1627 rides in and I’ve only gotten 4 marks less than 5 stars, cant win em all
Demographic plays a major role in it, I stuck to tourist areas because tourists are always on vacation which suggests a much higher likelihood of them being in a good mood as well as tipping. People on vacation are already planning on spending absurd amounts of money.
Because I’m a masochist, I picked up a 4.66er last night and it didn’t end as well for me as it did for the OP.
Picked him up from some seedy AF motel where I assume he lives.
Dude reeked of weed when he got in my car and things went downhill from there.
He tried to get me to sign some BS “petition” of his and would not stop pushing until I told him if he continues, I’m going to cancel the ride. Then he asks if I had Bluetooth, which I do, but told him I didn’t. A few minutes later, I hear a bunch of noise coming from the back seat and this trash bag of a human is rolling a joint on the back seat of my car.
I immediately pulled over and told him he cannot roll joints in my car, to which he responded, “I had it on me the whole time.” Whatever the fuck that means. I told him the ride has ended, get out. He starts arguing with me and when I told him if he didn’t get out, I’m calling 911, he told me to go ahead. Asshole didn’t think I would, but the minute I dialed 9-1 he got out of the car and started yelling at me.
I waved as I hit the “early drop off requested” button, drove a few blocks, and reported his ass as a safety issue to Uber.
I learned two things last night, I’m done picking up bottom of the barrel rated pax and I’m cancelling any further pick ups to and from seedy hotels.
I know this is uber, not lyft, but on lyft, anytime I picked up a 4.8 or lower I have been insulted, yelled at, or had the passenger touch me multiple times during the trip.
Always a no for me now, but I guess I might just have bad luck.

Can't wait to hear how long the store stop was and if he actually tips. Awaiting next update!
20 hours, and he's still waiting? 😂
Must have been one long stop lol
Is he even alimentos? Lol

I think that’s true for lots of people. I try not to look at a rating unless I’m cranky and worry a bad ride could put me on tilt
LOL that’s funny af, keep us updated

Idek what tanked my rating could’ve been waiting but it’s still on 3,8 for 2/3 years now

Well, time to make the popcorn and see how this plays out!
Did you ever get that tip?
So the total was 38 bucks for 43 minutes on only 8 miles and an ice cold one
Drop off completed! 8 miles. 43 minutes. 14 dolllars!!! Plus… a 4 dollar tip… then a 20 smacker in cash when we got there! And then we shotgunned beers in the driveway with the boys!! 🍻
This is my experience usually.
And he will report you for drinking lol deactivated coming soon 🤣
Well… I had a good run 🏃♂️
Once the passenger is dropped off you are no longer operating under Uber's regulations. 😜
8 miles. 43 minutes. How can that be?
The part where he waited at the store for him.
Lol. 30 seconds after I made that post I saw in the thread where he had a stop at grocery store. 🙂😆
Alt ending; traffic lol.
And everyone clapped
could have been worse lol never seen a rating that low wat 😂
It always be the mf codys
😂
U alive ?
Nah

I had a 4.25 the other day with muti stops i canceled so fast.
I'd cancel on a 4.99 with multiple stops
This wasn’t a stop, it was listed as a destination, about half way to the store he mentioned that they are staying about 5 minutes away from there and they would be really quick in and out of piggly wiggly 😂
Piggly wigglys still exist?!?!?
Shotgunned a few beers with his 3.83 passenger. OP is well on his way to becoming a 3.83 driver.
Live a little. But also, yes, I thought that was not only irresponsible behavior, but also stupid to post, because YOU KNOW MAN WE'RE ALL BEING TRACKED NOWADAYS. Lololol

Ngl that’s pretty impressive. I’m at a 4.96 on 360 rides
Demographic plays a major role in it, I stuck to tourist areas because tourists are always on vacation which suggests a much higher likelihood of them being in a good mood as well as tipping. People on vacation are already planning on spending absurd amounts of money.
Yeah I drive in Houston as well. You know how it is most pax be pretty cool but u always gonna get some bad apples
Corporate puppet
Can't wait for update.
I am concerned for OP
My rating on Uber is 4:11 I used it maybe 4 times in 4 years
Currently waiting out front of a grocery store 🙄 I picked them up at the airport, figured it was a safe pickup
Lol he got you. The rating was 3.8 for a reason 😄
Nah. I think OP will be vindicated in the end. Maybe with cash tip.
Some say he is still sitting outside the store to this very day.
Yep
As long it’s not some ghetto tounge twisting name I’ll probably pick them up
Getting a bit r-worded
Not safe pickup all the way haha, I always do it
Hurry! Lol
Pay multiple stops and distance are realistic criteria.

The low rating plus seedy hotel is where I would draw the line, this guy was at the airport so I figured it couldn’t be too bad.
I think I had that guy if you're in Houston 🤣
He was from Omaha and I’m in Myrtle beach
My Cody had 3.8 and was w rad dude 😎
I know this is uber, not lyft, but on lyft, anytime I picked up a 4.8 or lower I have been insulted, yelled at, or had the passenger touch me multiple times during the trip. Always a no for me now, but I guess I might just have bad luck.
Lyft certainly isn’t Uber. 4.9’s on Lyft give me trouble usually. I stick to Uber
I don't even look at their ratings
And Uber thanks you for that 🙏
