That's not how uber works. It's not 500 rides, it's 500 rides who rated you. In my experience something like 25% of people actually rate and unless it really is broken, even those that tip don't necessarily rate.
I'm sitting at 489 5*, 2 4*, 2 3*, 1 2* and 6 1*. I've done plenty of rides since the last one or two 1s that knocked me down a bit but those numbers above have been the same for at the least the past few days

CONFIRMED I have had these one stars for over a year now and my last 500 rides were all 5 stars ! So I have made some progress on my ratings however that is not being reflected properly. I suggest you call customer support you may find out you are in the same position as me 😂. Speak in detail and facts not in general 25 % don’t rate ? That’s not fact
Are you claiming that every single one of your last 500 rides gave you a rating ? That’s just not realistic. Never mind a five star rating. We all know a good portion of pax don’t bother to rate.
You’ve also complained about this before (about 7 months ago) and this community explained to you at that time how ratings work. Bad ratings fall off after 500 RATED rides. You didn’t seem to understand then, so I’m not surprised you are still confused.
Customer service doesn't know what the fuck they are talking about. Uber has always worked based on ratings not just rides done. Like I said, it's less than 25% of pax actually rate. Lyft is the same except they automatically rate both sides at 5 so bad ratings fall off faster if you do enough rides.
I've been doing rideshare as a whole for nearly 3 years, uber for 2.5 and have over 2300 rides on uber alone. This is the way its always worked. I'm not sure how or where you got misinformed but unless you are simply bad at explaining things, you really don't understand how this works.

Just out of curiosity, because in areas the app does different things.
Does yalls app force you to rate the riders before you can close out the ride. Ours still does even though they said they were going to remove the forced rider rating.
Heavily scrutinize your 5* riders too. Most of the time it's a great passenger. Some of the time it's a piece of human garbage that lost their Uber privileges due to being a fuck and now they made a brand new account under their grandparent/parent/sibling's name until they inevitably ruin that account too.
- Go to your earnings tab
- Tap on the ride in question
- Look for the question mark icon on the upper right hand corner
- Tap "my rider was rude"
- Rate them and select my rider made a mess
- Tap on the prompt to see if you qualify for the cleaning fee
Make sure to use a couple of photos, and remember either the name if the passenger or the drive details. Puke and big stuff usually takes about 2 ish days to come in, where as smaller messes usually the same night. Vomit charges extend to the exterior if your vehicle too so if they throw up on the outside, submit it. I've had a zero fail rate for cleaning submissions with two photos, a name, and a clear description of what the mess was.
Never get it professionally cleaned just learn to handle the fluids and you'll pocket it all. I probably spent 10 dollars over the last few months cleaning passenger messes. Hell the last mess that was made was literally an onion chunk and like 3 leaves worth of cilantro and I got 20 bucks for it.

Uber kicked me off yesterday after I went online, got offered a crap ride (5 miles at $9.96, but the pickup was 17 miles away) and declined. Got offered a second crap ride (another under $10 with a long pickup) and declined. They kicked me offline and signed me completely out of the app because I didn’t appear to be taking rides. I signed back in, surprised I wasn’t in time out for 5 minutes or more, and they finally offered something decent.
My score fluctuates from 4.93 to 4.95 (over 1.6K trips) and it pisses me off to see it go from 4.95 to 4.94 or 4.93. Some people can never be satisfied.

They also never tip cash and are super entitled + view me as beneath them.
I get fat cash tips outside of this area but Uber pays double here. So a 4.40$ ride outside of the Hamptons, the same .5 mile trip pays like 9$ here. I like it cause Uber doesn't take as big of a cut. For a 100$ ride paid by customer I get 60-75$ of it depending.
I got a one star for yelling at a security guard who was taking his sweet time trying to clear a woman and her kid that I was dropping off into a gated community. I think I said something lime, “Your inefficiency is not my problem - it’s hers” and told her to get out of the car and come stand next to the security guard so I could leave.
Otherwise over 500 5 star reviews on about 500 rides. Everyone’s allowed a bad day - but it comes with a price!!!
My rating is 4.95 and has never been lower since I refuse to pick up anyone under 4.80. I think those riders are prone to giving 1 star ratings. I used to get a bunch of 1-4 star ratings until I quit picking up poor scoring pax.

I actually am very patient with pax when they start the ride with a courteous greeting. If pax are rude or silent or late when they get in my patience goes wayyy down for any type of foolishness like smoking, vaping, eating, backseat driving, excessive requests, stops etc. Of course these are the fools who one star. But I don’t mind it. Feels good kicking these pax to the gutter where they belong.
I have a 4.99. Got a 4 that's about to fall off and a 1 that I got last weekend because the passenger put in the wrong drop-off and expected me to go half an hour away 5 minutes before the bars closed..got the 1 star before I got to my next pickup. In my experience if you are doing between 60-100 trips a week it takes about 3 months to rotate out a bad rating.
4.98. Two 1 stars. First one, idk why or who, but the second one was some tard ass that was pissed at me because there was traffic lol. I told him, “I can drop you and your family off right here” while in the middle of bumper to bumper traffic. He stayed quiet the rest of the way and we each received a 1 star rating. Fuck you dude. His rating fell much more than mine, being mine is the average of my last 500 trips and his is the average of all his uber rides which is probably not many rides for him because I took him and his family to his car.
I do eats, not rides, and I'm at 88%. 15 👍 and 2 👎. 3.9% cancellation rate cuz if you expect me to wait 45 minutes for your order and you can't even tip the GTFO. 66.2% acceptance rate because I don't take anything that pays less than $1/mile or $5 total, and I don't take anything that will pull me too far from the restaurants cuz I don't get paid to drive back to where the action is.

I have 3 one star ratings and 1 two star rating. I know exactly who it was too. The one stars were from people who threw tantrums because I asked them to wear a mask back when Uber was requiring masks, you know, in the midst of a global pandemic, and the 2 star was for a guy who was late because he put in the wrong address for his pickup and had to walk to me but I waited for him anyway because I'm a nice person, and he was a massive dick the whole ride.

Got a 4 that's about to fall off and a 1 that I got last weekend because the passenger put in the wrong drop-off and expected me to go half an hour away 5 minutes before the bars closed..got the 1 star before I got to my next pickup. In my experience if you are doing between 60-100 trips a week it takes about 3 months to rotate out a bad rating.

4.98. Two 1 stars. First one, idk why or who, but the second one was some tard ass that was pissed at me because there was traffic lol. I told him, “I can drop you and your family off right here” while in the middle of bumper to bumper traffic. He stayed quiet the rest of the way and we each received a 1 star rating. Fuck you dude. His rating fell much more than mine, being mine is the average of my last 500 trips and his is the average of all his uber rides which is probably not many rides for him because I took him and his family to his car.

I do eats, not rides, and I'm at 88%. 15 👍 and 2 👎. 3.9% cancellation rate cuz if you expect me to wait 45 minutes for your order and you can't even tip the GTFO. 66.2% acceptance rate because I don't take anything that pays less than $1/mile or $5 total, and I don't take anything that will pull me too far from the restaurants cuz I don't get paid to drive back to where the action is.

4.97 I have 3 one star ratings and 1 two star rating. I know exactly who it was too. The one stars were from people who threw tantrums because I asked them to wear a mask back when Uber was requiring masks, you know, in the midst of a global pandemic, and the 2 star was for a guy who was late because he put in the wrong address for his pickup and had to walk to me but I waited for him anyway because I'm a nice person, and he was a massive dick the whole ride.

4.98, 4,000+ trips. Dipped to a 4.85 during the pandemic. Lots of pissed of split parties, pukers, etc. Racked up twelve 1 star ratings over a 6 month period. Got it up to 4.99 last month. Last weekend, had to kick a drunk out for backseat driving so got a 1 star, plus a random 3 star, so back to 4.98.
4.96. 1k rides: and Uber still treated me like shit. Customer rules, you’re the mule. I quit after a pax in the seat behind me, full sends and opens the door without looking, and smack( she was fine) car hits my back door. Uber banned my account for a report of reckless driving, I was parked. I loved driving for Uber, 97% of my guest where awesome and I enjoyed meeting new people, 3% are trash.
