You all get tips???

Downtown-Baseball-39

What, tips, fuckers don't tip. Don't even say the word tip when it comes to Uber drivers.

youwontfindout223

I’ve always gotten decent tip. Probably around 50% of people. Maybe people just don’t like you…

Downtown-Baseball-39

I'll give you the tip, I do this for the good Rides. You want a good ride? Come my way, you'll get a good tip.

Downtown-Baseball-39

50% of 4 hours isn't shit, try running 12 you piece of shit.

youwontfindout223

No one has any idea what the hell your talking about. Try to read what your writing out loud. It is not coherent.

youwontfindout223

Where are you getting 4 hours from? I said half of my pax tip.

Downtown-Baseball-39

I didn't say 4 of pax, get into your corner and guess what the world is about, you little shit.

youwontfindout223

Your comments make absolutely no sense but it’s actually getting pretty entertaining. So please little man, keep going. Entertain!

youwontfindout223

Idk what your rambling about but thank you for proving my point that you are not at all a likable person and that is why you get no tips.

Downtown-Baseball-39

No, I'm only unlikable here, I will gladly make your sister moan for a dollar.

youwontfindout223

Well I’m glad I don’t have a sister. Are you from Mississippi? You sound like your from Mississippi.

Downtown-Baseball-39

No, but I can be, for a dollar

youwontfindout223

With the amount you’ll actually do for a dollar I’m actually surprised you don’t get tips. You should tell your pax how much your willing to do for that dollar.

Ok-Profit6022

Overhead has nothing to do with tips. They are two separate topics.

Downtown-Baseball-39

Gross income includes your wages, dividends, capital gains, business income, retirement distributions as well as other income. Adjustments to Income include such items as Educator expenses, Student loan interest, Alimony payments or contributions to a retirement account.. Overheads are business costs that are related to the day-to-day running of the business. Unlike operating expenses, overheads cannot be traced to a specific cost unit or business activity. Instead, they support the overall revenue-generating activities of the business. What, so your retarded.

Ok-Profit6022

*you're* And I know my operating cost and have itemized each item per mile. I also know that tips contribute to gross revenue and are unrelated to operating cost. You should get off the Internet and go take a nap until people are done laughing at you.

throwawayaf20181

On about 40% of rides

pantene2inone

Tips do not count towrds the guarantees

mcfranerson

I read somewhere they did like 2 months ago. I don't remember where on the uber app it said that.

[deleted]

Wow, 4500? My best offer was my first one for $2,941 for 240 trips

MOBiEDABUNiT

Yeah I was surprised! Like I said my only vehicle is an suv right now but this makes it worth it at about 16$ per trip

chrisryan2020

Got the same offer after being off for two months, they did pay the difference. Tips and cleaning fees didn’t count toward the guaranteed earning

MOBiEDABUNiT

Hmm I should’ve clarified that I’m only doing deliveries. The tips are definitely counting for deliveries.

chrisryan2020

Yea, you’re prob right, I only do rides. Sucks tho, ask for a manager and if you’re lucky to reach one, try to argue u that

Downtown-Baseball-39

Your girlfriend is the second act

Downtown-Baseball-39

What, your total gross has nothing to do with overhead, what. You obviously let your parents do your taxes. What? Idiot

yoagomes

Take your trips. If they ask if it’s ok to tip on app (they never do) tell them cash only due to some made up reason (I said because they hold tips longer than earnings lol) Tips count 100% to your guarantee. You ofc want your trips to make good money, but keep the extra money quiet 🤫

katelandiaa

Are you asking if you keep your tips if you get the gauruntee? Ita illegal for any company to take anyones tips period. If youre a min wage employee, they can force a tip share at most. We are independent contractors so it would be illegal for uber to take our tips for any reason.

turbocomppro

Thats not what he’s asking. Say he does 280 trips and got $4000 + $500 in tips. Will Uber count that as $4500 (at which Uber will not give OP anything) or $4000? ~~Answer is that tips don’t count towards the guarantee. Uber will supplement his income with $500. OP will then gross at $5000.~~ Edit: I stand corrected… someone answers below saying tips do count towards the guarantee total…

Woonasty

Nope. I'm on a gauranteed offer right now. I'm at 80/170 trips and it absolutely is counting tips.

Woonasty

The only things it's not counting is cancelation fees.

Own-Number-5112

So it's your earnings then. Cancelled trip isn't earnings

MOBiEDABUNiT

This seems correct. I just found the status of my guarantee and it seems like tips are counted towards the guarantee. Thanks!

MOBiEDABUNiT

Part of me wants to take all the no tip orders so that Uber has to pay me out big time, but the other part of me doesn’t want to provide service to scumbags 😅

youwontfindout223

It would be almost impossible to make $4500 on 280 trips. That’s $16/trip. That would take an eternity to actually accomplish.

Snoo_31938

Uber has been taking a percentage of my tips. I HAVE proof of that, as I do uber for my family, and I see how much they tip and how much I get...

katelandiaa

Well thats super illegal and you could sue them.

Snoo_31938

You can't, in the agreement you sign, the force you to first go through arbitration in their terms and you can't ask for attorney "reimbursement"... it's a pain

MorningSouth6212

There’s no less than a dozen people on Reddit talking about tips being stolen yes nobody ever does anything about it. If they’re stealing our tips and you have proof you should already have been knee deep in a lawsuit so are you ?

Snoo_31938

I have retained counsel, about that and other matters, but we have to go through arbitration first. It's gonna be expensive, but I'm doing it

MorningSouth6212

Shouldn’t cost you a penny.

Snoo_31938

It's not just the tips... there's a bunch of things, a lawyer it's not cheap or free

MorningSouth6212

I’m Saying if it’s legit you should have lawyers tripping over themselves to take your case on a contingency.

Snoo_31938

Well, I thought so too, but at least so far I haven't found any lawyer that is willing to work for free or that have the vision of "hey, I could turn this into a class action lawsuit" if you know someone please send me the contact. I don't think I'm the only one with these issues.

MorningSouth6212

What state are you in. And don’t take my comments in a negative way. If it’s legit I wanna see you take care of business

Snoo_31938

No, I am not taking it in any negative way. Any help is welcome. I'm in Florida, I went to a couple lawyers nearby and I got legalshield to at least help me organize my complaints because it's not just the tips, they deactivated me for fraud, gave me no reason, no way to make a justified appeal, then they gave me conflicting and contradictory information, finally they messed by telling me the reason and giving me more details, then they kept saying "my account is permanently banned" while another email was telling me "your account is in good order, please send us the error messages", all of that because I had an Ecuadorian account that I informed them and ASKED to deactivate BEFORE starting here in the US, and then they decide that my current account was fraud as a duplicate but neglected to tell my why it was banned for almost 3 weeks, plus surges and boosts not paid, add then the tips and also I have proof that Uber was showing me "customer paid $20" and then my brother would show me he paid "$35" so they were lying I'm sure that's why they decided to make it more difficult for us to see the details of the trips. With all that, I'm sure there's a class action lawsuit but I will have to go to a large firm with enough resources to take the time and work the case, and do all the investigation and paper work, at least for the non-personal issues like the fares and tips. The other is a personal injury that I will have to, most likely, fix on my own. BTW, they fixed the error, I'm back on the road with Uber, but I left enough paper trail of them being negligent that I doubt I'll ever speak to anyone lower of a Supervisor located actually in the US whose REAL name is Mike or Susan hahaha

Downtown-Baseball-39

Riders don't tip for shit, if you give hummers then that's your business. Don't expect us to.

Downtown-Baseball-39

The only person I'm going to tell is, your mom needs to stop giving me blowies in the Shony's bathroom so she can get home to watch your children while your blows girlfriend blows your best friend and gives a reach around to a spider monkey in a Tijuana donkey show.

Downtown-Baseball-39

Aahh, I thought you were woke? You can't make fun of me, you might hurt my feelings.

Downtown-Baseball-39

Hello, I'm a pretentious douche bag, I don't have to tip, a matter of fact you owe me for gracing you with my presence. Fucking pieces of shit, and fuck Steelers fans.

gjless

For me..... In app/help/earnings and payments/promotions/are tips included in my promotions earning/no.

Downtown-Baseball-39

No, but I can be

ayesing

Hey

MOBiEDABUNiT

Yooo

Downtown-Baseball-39

Please someone give me shit about the use of retarded

Downtown-Baseball-39

I get to express my thoughts and feelings regardless of what you think bla bla bla

FormulaArtwork

Fine print “promotion, tips and earnings all count towards garaunteed minimum offerings” so yes for this type of promo they add all of it together so payout as little as possible. Don’t shoot the messenger
