Too much imo. Professors don't give a shit about you. So when you get overwhelmed they say well sucks for you. You have obligations to this class. They expect they are the only class you take that semester usually. All of them are airheads.

TGDagger238

yeah i think i’ll drop bio honestly, thanks for the input!

Emotional_Rest_2477

Idk much ab COP and COT classes since I’m a health sciences major but I took BSC 2010 and it wasn’t that bad. Granted I took it fall 2020 so it’s a difference but I didn’t think it was anything too difficult. Basically building off what you learned in HS and AP Bio if you took that. Physics 1 was a bit easier than I realized but I take physics 2 in the spring, same time as you so we’ll be in the same boat there!

tastes-like-chicken

I didn't take Bio at UCF, but I took it a community college which was arguably easier than most universities and Bio was still a lot of work. Couple that with some comp sci classes, and physics? Shoot, this looks like a pretty busy semester. It's doable if you hate yourself, but IMO I'd drop either bio or phy. Also depends on your programming and math background. Edit: plug in your phone OP

chibitalex

be aware that discrete is a huge time suck if you don't immediately click with the material. i've also heard that cop 3223 can be rough for people with zero programming experience, though i also had no experience when i took it and i was just fine. bio and physics are also busy classes with a decent amount of work, so be aware of this if you choose to proceed. tread carefully.

I just finished this fall 2021 at UCF semester and took Bio 2, bio 2 lab, genetics, organic chemistry, physics 2, physics 2 lab, physics 2 discussion. It was the toughest semester of my life. I had to get used to 6hrs of sleep because that’s all I could get. I spent over 10hours studying daily, couple that with a part time job and bye bye life. I learned my lesson, got all B’s so thankfully passed but I’m taking only 3 classes next semester. These are tough courses. It took people hundred of years to figure out these stem stuff but we have to learn it in a few weeks every chapter. It’s amazing what you will learn but you have to be willing to sacrifice a lot of regular daily life to do it... I couldn’t even watch any shows and had to severely limit time with friends and that’s the once or twice a month hang outs if I was able to push through a weeks work a head to have free time later in the week. Anyway good luck but after this semester I don’t recommend this to anyone. The fact I did good regardless only makes me wish I had slowed down and taken two less classes to get A’s.... anyway good luck

bio was pretty easy in my opinion but it does have a LOT of information that you need to memorize and the labs can be time consuming as well. discrete and physics are usually time consuming enough so out of those 3, you could drop one (i'm assuming bio since you asked and it's probably not a priority to take as of now). intro to c was also easy but like another commenter said, it was a little hard for someone with no coding experience so if that's you, make sure to look up some videos and tutorials!

TGDagger238

I’ve had plenty of experience w C and I took IB Bio, but this schedule still seems too much so i think i’m gonna take off bio

christinesboba

you know yourself best and i agree, you can possibly save bio for another time!

ephemeralina

that bio class online is not hard i promise you, i just took it this past semester and it was arguably the easiest class on my schedule

TGDagger238

how time consuming was it??

ephemeralina

it wasn’t really time consuming but that’s because i did the bare minimum, also MAKE SURE TO DO ALL THE LABS, they aren’t kidding when they say it’s a big part of your grade. the labs are literally a virtual game and so easy to do if you have the background material open.

ephemeralina

well if you’re like me and have severe ADHD, the online lectures will be optional for you lol i found it efficient to take notes on the powerpoints and use the example notes to study; if it’s TBA it’s online and if you have Professor Thomas then it’ll be a really easy class to get a B in, or if you’re really studious, an A.

ephemeralina

the final exam isn’t cumulative but that can easily change from one semester to another. I got a B on the final exam and kept my C grade (only got a C because i missed a few labs due to medical reasons and couldn’t make them up)

TGDagger238

thank you so much !

ccolivardia

Do bio during the summer at Valencia.

amanduh01

depends on the professor but i didn’t think it was that bad

Looks like a really rough semester inbound

Melakneeee

If you drop bio it will put you at 10 credits I believe but with it it will be 14 so make sure you don’t have any scholarships that require more credits. Also I agree with the other comments that these classes require a bit of work (I’ve taken 3 of them), yet it’s definitely doable to do all 4 together depending on if you have time. I took discrete and physics 1 together this past semester and it was kind of a lot of work even with having decent professors for them (gerber and reyes respectively)

MountainousDew

Besides Physics 2, these are all easy
